Chapter 767 She Can't Let Victoria Have Them All to Herself

Alexander took a drag from his cigarette, his tall frame quickly disappearing into the bedroom as the door clicked shut behind him.

Victoria stood there quietly, figuring he must've found out about her return ticket. But seriously, there was no reason for him to be mad.

She headed to Strawberry's room. Despite the many rooms in the house, only Strawberry's room made her feel at ease. As she entered, she noticed the colorful array of princess dresses and sparkling jewelry spread out on the floor.

The elders had bought these for Strawberry to choose from for her "Welcome Baby Party." They had laid them out, letting Strawberry pick her own outfit and accessories for the evening.

As night fell and the family was getting ready to leave, Alexander was already gone.

Arabella said, "He went ahead to greet the guests. We should hurry too."

"Okay," Victoria replied, not saying much else as she got into the car with Arabella and Strawberry.

In front of the Frosty Summit Hotel, Edward, Sebastian, and Benjamin were at the entrance, welcoming guests. Alexander stepped out, greeted a guest, and asked Sebastian to help escort them inside.

Benjamin asked, "Is Victoria coming?"

Alexander's eyes were cold as he replied, "Does it matter?"

Edward and Benjamin exchanged confused looks. Alexander sighed irritably, and just then, a car approached, catching his attention. He stepped forward, leaving Edward and Benjamin stunned.

It was the Bryant Family's car.

Photographers nearby began snapping pictures as Alexander personally stepped forward to greet them.

Daisy, wearing a long white dress, shyly said, "Thank you."

Alexander said nothing, just raised his arm for her to take.

As soon as Jerome and Ursa got out of the car, they immediately said, "Mr. Harrington, congratulations."

"Thank you, please come inside," Alexander said, glancing at Edward.

"Mr. Bryant, Mrs. Bryant, please," Edward said politely, but he couldn't help but glance at Alexander, silently asking what he was up to.

Next, the Harrington Family's car slowly pulled up.

Before getting out, Brett and Eloise had already noticed the commotion outside. Frowning, Eloise muttering, "What is Alexander doing?"

Brett frowned and said, "Let's get out and see."

The car stopped, and Benjamin personally opened the door. "Mr. Brett Harrington, Mrs. Eloise Harrington, long time no see, please be careful getting out."

"What is Alexander up to?" Brett asked Benjamin as he got out.

Benjamin replied helplessly, "I haven't figured it out either."

Eloise, holding Benjamin's arm as she got out, said, "Even you don't know? It must be a sudden decision." Then, turning to Brett, she added urgently, "Honey, think of something quickly. It'll be a disaster if Victoria sees this."

Benjamin reminded in a low voice, "Grandma, Alexander probably did this specifically so Victoria would see it."

Brett and Eloise were taken aback and looked at him. Was he doing this on purpose to make Victoria jealous?

As they were thinking this, the door of the luxury car behind them opened, but no one got out.

Benjamin stepped forward, and Arabella said, "Have Alexander come over himself."

Benjamin said nothing and looked at Alexander.

Alexander immediately understood and politely said to Daisy, "Ms. Bryant, please wait a moment."

"Okay," Daisy replied, particularly agreeable.

Alexander strode over and said, "What's the matter? You want me to come over?"

Arabella didn't even look at him and said, "Victoria has back pain and can't get out of the car."

Victoria looked at Arabella in confusion, "No, I..."

"Stop talking," Arabella said sternly.

Victoria's heart trembled, and she shut up.

Alexander glanced at Victoria, then smiled and said, "Mom, I have no problem carrying my own daughter, but as for Ms. Kensington, you're putting me in a difficult position, and even more so Ms. Kensington."

"Alexander, speak in a normal tone," Arabella said.

Arabella, all dressed up tonight, held back from slapping Alexander because of the crowd.

Alexander looked at Victoria with a fake smile and said, "Ms. Kensington, what do you think?"

"Is Ms. Bryant your date tonight?" Victoria asked with a smile.

Alexander replied, "Ms. Kensington, you are indeed wise. Yes, she is. I wonder if Ms. Kensington is satisfied with my date?"

"She's excellent. Mom, don't make it hard for him. I don't have back pain. Let's get out of the car," Victoria said.

Arabella looked at Strawberry sitting in the baby car seat, then glanced at Alexander and said, "Are you really going to do this in front of Strawberry? You know Victoria..."

"Mom, everyone is waiting," Victoria interrupted, stopping Arabella from continuing. She had a hunch Arabella was going to mention her leaving the child in Ankenra City.

Arabella couldn't help but hand Strawberry over to Alexander, then got out of the car and turned to help Victoria. "Victoria, take it slow."

"Thank you, Mom," Victoria said, feeling a bit uneasy. It was unusual for her, as a junior, to be helped out of the car by an elder.

But her back didn't allow her to refuse. She didn't even know why the car was so high; was it designed to make it difficult for her to get down?

Arabella helped Victoria out of the car, just as an old friend arrived. She went up to greet them, saying, "Cade, you're quite late."

"My little granddaughter was overwhelmed choosing her outfit at home. But the timing is perfect. Let's go in together," Cade replied.

Arabella agreed, noting that she and Victoria were the last to arrive. Maximus had gone upstairs early to greet friends, and Brett and Eloise were already inside.

Before heading inside with her friend, Arabella turned and held Victoria's hand. "You stay here with Alexander for a while before going upstairs."

Victoria looked at her in confusion, feeling Arabella pat her hand, probably to reassure her.

At that moment, Victoria noticed a photographer snapping pictures of them. The flash made her feel a bit uneasy and dizzy. She thought, 'They must have captured Arabella helping me out of the car. If these photos go online, it could become big news.'

But Victoria remained silent, glancing awkwardly at Alexander when she saw Emily and Tessa approaching together.

"Victoria."

"Victoria."

They called out in unison, running up to her.

"Emily, Tessa, you both came."

"Of course, Olivia is arriving soon too. She asked us to come and help you."

"Thank you," Victoria said, setting aside her awkwardness and standing with them.

Seeing Alexander, Emily and Tessa both pretended to be serious. "Mr. Harrington."

Alexander said nothing, but seeing Victoria smile so gently made him feel sad. Then he spoke, "Ms. Windsor, Ms. Hughes, long time no see."

Daisy, who was watching from the side, couldn't resist joining in. After all, she couldn't let Victoria monopolize such good social resources.

"We don't seem to know each other well," Emily said, pulling Tessa and giving her a meaningful look.

"Yes, Ms. Bryant, It's probably best if you don't hang out with us girls who have boyfriends. We feel very uneasy," Tessa cooperated.

Daisy was taken aback, smiling humbly. "What makes you feel uneasy?"

"We're afraid of losing our boyfriends, especially since I'm in a business marriage with Montague Family. Who knows which woman might try to ruin our relationship when we're unstable."

"I'm also worried someone might take Benjamin away. Although he's a steadfast man, some women are just shameless. I have to keep a close eye on him," Tessa added.

The more Tessa and Emily spoke, the more awkward Daisy felt. She just wanted to get along with the young ladies of Ankenra City to counter Victoria, not to take their boyfriends.

Unable to resist, Daisy glanced at Alexander, who was holding Strawberry in a way that could melt anyone's heart.

Daisy kept her head up, speaking softly and cautiously, "I'm not that kind of person. I just want to make friends."
