Chapter 216 Am I Also Expired Food Goods?

In the heat of the moment, she clung to him tightly. Suddenly, he reciprocated, one hand holding her close while the other firmly cradled the back of her head, pulling her into a sudden kiss.

As she released her grip, he simultaneously let go of her lips, whispering a promise, "Just one minute, I assure you."

Victoria found herself staring at him, dazed and bewildered. "Hold me close, and let me kiss you," he murmured, his words a lethal provocation.

She was left speechless, feeling as if she was being led to her demise.

Despite her resistance, he abruptly seized her waistband.

Victoria instinctively tightened her grip on him, pleading, "Don't." She conceded defeat. She realized she couldn't overpower him, nor could she escape. All she could do was hold him close and allow him to kiss her.

He didn't seem to require her response; he simply continued to relish the moment.

Overwhelmed, she found herself succumbing to tears once again. As the promised minute elapsed, Alexander released her as agreed. However, her tears continued to flow freely. Choked up and with a hoarse voice, she cursed him, "Alexander, you scoundrel."

"If you keep crying, I'll have to take you to the bathroom," he warned.

Victoria promptly halted her tears. Alexander watched her, a chuckle escaping his lips. He knew she had been crying intentionally, hoping to evoke guilt in him and thus secure her escape. But her tears continued to stream down her face, unstoppable. Eventually, she cried herself to sleep. Only then did she resemble a sleeping beauty.

Alexander showered, changed into his pajamas, and laid down beside her, wrestling with a newfound emotion. "Victoria, thank you," he whispered, leaning in to convey his gratitude physically.

However, she suddenly turned over, leaving him dumbfounded and speechless.

She unclasped her bra and swiftly removed it. Alexander was taken aback. He didn't react. He found himself laughing helplessly. How could a woman irritate him so much in his own bed, yet he couldn't bring himself to retaliate?

He found himself gazing at her, and a memory from their childhood surfaced. The day he returned home to find out that her entire family had moved away. He had been disoriented and distracted for days, unable to comprehend what others were saying.

As Victoria continued to sleep, she began to dream. In her dream, she saw her parents embracing and sharing a gentle kiss. They seemed so happy, and she found herself whispering, "Mom, Dad."

The room gradually darkened, and a serene silence enveloped them.

A soft feminine sigh suddenly filled the space between them.

Shortly after, Alexander felt something small and delicate snuggle into his chest. Intrigued, he opened his eyes, his heart pounding fervently. He saw clearly the woman who had nestled into his arms in her sleep.

A warm, fluffy feeling filled his heart to the brim. He reached out and gently stroked her hair. A thought echoed in his mind, 'Have I fallen for her?'

When Victoria awoke, it was nearly seven in the morning. She had probably had a bit too much to drink the previous night, which had caused her to sleep so soundly. As she opened her eyes and took in her surroundings, she sat up abruptly. How had she ended up here?

The image of their entwined figures from the previous night flashed in her mind, and she quickly turned to look beside her. To her relief, he was no longer there.

She felt an unexpected sense of comfort, which was quickly replaced by panic as she noticed her undone buttons. She hugged herself, her eyes darting around anxiously.

"Yesterday morning, I prepared noodles for you, but you didn't eat them. I heated them up again this morning," a familiar female voice echoed from outside.

"You know I don't eat expired food," Alexander responded indifferently.

"Then, am I also considered expired goods?" Isabella retorted, her voice soft and tender.
