Chapter 104 Let's Listen to Miss Kensington First
"Let me remind you, Mr. Harrington, you have a very busy morning today," Victoria began doing her job.
"Oh, does that mean I can't have some alone time with my wife anymore?" Alexander retorted.
Victoria was left speechless.
"Alright, I’ll listen to Miss Kensington," Alexander said.
Victoria felt like she was being played, but when he finally agreed to listen to her, she breathed a sigh of relief, thinking she could finally escape.
Little did she know that, in the next moment, he suddenly grabbed her chin and kissed her on the lips.
For at least five seconds, all her breath was stolen.
She just held her head high, feeling his soft lips on hers as he gradually deepened the kiss.
When she left holding the signed documents, Jasmine observed her cautiously, not daring to say a word.
But then she saw Victoria's eyes swollen, and her lips, she couldn’t help but grow curious.
Hmm?
What was going on?
Their boss, who didn't want Miss Montgomery who was already pregnant, to enter his office, was actually indulging in intimate moments with his secretary.
Although he, as a person of his stature, had no shortage of admirers, this behavior seemed too despicable, didn't it?
Online rumors had it that their boss was married and although, the Montgomery family later debunked it as false, the situation was still odd.
Jasmine couldn't help but sneak a glance at Victoria's hand out of the corner of her eye.
Her hand was empty, devoid of any rings or marks, indicating she didn't wear rings much, which meant she likely wasn't married.
"Does he maintain a polished image at work while having a completely different persona in his personal life?"
And to add to it, he was flirting with her colleague, someone seated right beside her.
The more Jasmine dwelled on it, the more appalled she became.
Victoria's phone rang, and after a glance, she answered, "Hello, Mr. Harrington."
"Accompany me to meet a client at noon." Alexander said.
"Yes."
Victoria subconsciously agreed, but after hanging up, she remembered she had plans to have lunch with Old Lady Harrington.
Why did he always have something for her whenever she made plans with someone else?
Victoria felt a bit frustrated, but ultimately had to reschedule with Old Lady Harrington.
But as they were heading downstairs at noon...
"Alex."
Suddenly, a gentle female voice interrupted their steps.
Victoria first saw Isabella, who was walking towards them holding a beautiful box, wearing a white skirt.
Her hair was also very gentle. Her whole demeanor was very soft.
Victoria stood silently on the side, trying to lower her presence.
"Why are you still here?" Alexander asked her.
"I waited for you to finish. I made some snacks for you early this morning and burned my hand in the process, see." Isabella raised her hand to show him.
Alexander looked but didn't say anything else.
"If I can't get you to eat even after all this effort, I'll be really sad." Isabella said naturally as she linked her arm with his, then greeted Victoria on the other side, "Hi, Vicky."
Victoria nodded slightly and asked Alexander, "Should we cancel the lunch appointment?"
"What do you think?" Alexander looked at her displeased.
"Vicky, please, both me and the baby in my belly would be very grateful to you." Isabella said in a coquettish manner.
"I'll go with Eric; he's free right now." Victoria just wanted to do her job.
Eric was the person who was in charge of this project.
"Thank you, Vicky. I'll make sure to repay you properly in the future. Let's go to your office." Isabella pushed Alexander.
However, Alexander still looked at Victoria, "Are you sure?"
