Chapter 596 Plan to Escape in the Middle of the Night

Upon his return, it was already past 9 PM, and he arrived with four milkshakes in hand.

Erica met him at the door, and he only took one cup upstairs.

As Victoria applied lotion after her bath, a peculiar feeling crept over her, suggesting that he might not return tonight for some unknown reason.

He might have been coaxed by Isabella again.

After all, when they lived together, Isabella would always find ways to get him out, and he would invariably comply.

With the thought lingering, Victoria finished applying lotion to her slender legs.

Then she heard the door open softly and reflexively looked up.

She had only turned on a warm-colored wall lamp, so she couldn't quite see who was coming in.

But within a few seconds, it became clear.

Alexander closed the door and quickly strode towards her. "This is for you, just right to drink."

"I don't drink sweet things."

She reflexively rejected his kindness.

Alexander said, "You won't be filming for a while."

"I don't want it." Victoria lowered her head and rolled down her pants that she had pulled up over her knees.

Alexander looked down, and perhaps because of the lighting, her slender legs seemed particularly alluring.

Alexander, still holding the milkshakes, tried to ignore how enticing her skin was and threatened, "Do I need to feed you?"

Victoria was stunned for two seconds beforequickly taking a milkshake.

Alexander said, "I just had dinner with Benjamin and the others, discussing the wedding."

"Didn't you say you'd let me go?" Victoria looked up at him and asked.

Alexander threw his coat onto the foot of the bed, then started unbuttoning his shirt as he asked, "Then why didn't you leave?"

Victoria was speechless, thinking, 'You hadn't been home all day; how can I leave?'

Eloise and Arabella were both there.

Alexander asked, "Do you know what this means to me?"

"What does it mean?" Victoria, holding the milkshake, was genuinely curious about what he thought.

"You are playing hard to get." Alexander looked straight at her, and after saying those words, he started taking off his pants.

Victoria instinctively held her breath. "What are you doing?"

"Taking a shower," Alexander said, then quickly took off his pants.

He had a great body.

Victoria was stunned. He folded his pants and threw them at the foot of the bed, then gave her a disdainful look before heading to the bathroom.

"Alexander, I wasn't playing hard to get. I just..."

The door closed from the inside, cutting off her words.

But the fact was, Victoria had said she would leave, but the elders asked her where she was going.

She tried to say she needed to talk to Dennis, but Arabella offered to call Dennis for her, and then...

Nothing happened.

Arabella and Eloise both said that Alexander liked her and only had her in his heart, urging her to hold the wedding with peace of mind and that they would deal with Isabella.

It seemed everyone thought she was afraid of Isabella, but in fact, she wasn't scared in the slightest.

Victoria just wanted a simple life, away from all the drama, nothing more.

Alexander hadn't been around all day, and when he came back, he accused her of playing hard to get.

Victoria didn't want her life to turn into a melodrama of scheming and intrigue.

She wanted to marry a man, and all they needed was to love each other. She didn't want to deal with those women chasing after him.

Alexander finished his shower and dried his hair in less than ten minutes. When he came out, he asked her, "What did you just say you weren't?"

Victoria was stunned.

He walked towards the bed with a towel wrapped around him, and Victoria could see his Mermaid Line.

She opened her mouth but was momentarily so mesmerized that she forgot what she had said earlier.

Alexander walked up to her and asked again, "Victoria? What are you doing now?"

"What?" She replied guiltily, looking up at him. But her face was flushed.

Alexander bent down, his eyes fixed on her. "Are you seducing me?"

Victoria was speechless. She was dressed decently; it was clearly him...

Victoria couldn't help but glance at his abdomen again, and he suddenly untied the towel from his waist. "But you can look all you want."

"You're crazy. Go put on your pajamas." Victoria immediately covered her eyes and reminded him.

Alexander looked at her flushed skin and asked, "You've seen every part of my body. Why cover your eyes?"

Victoria insisted, "Go put on your pajamas."

"No." Alexander refused, seeing her still covering her eyes, and simply got into bed.

Victoria felt the bed shift and lowered her hands, only to see him lying beside her. He said, "Let's sleep together tonight."

Victoria shook her head. "I don't want to."

"Or should I go find something to tie you up with?"

"What?"

"Do you prefer a scarf or a tie? Or your pajamas?"

Hearing his words, Victoria thought he was shameless, then immediately got angry and tried to get out of bed.

But before her legs could touch the ground, she was grabbed.

Alexander held her shoulder and easily pushed her back onto the bed.

Victoria's heart was pounding as she looked at Alexander who suddenly flipped over in front of her. She could hardly breathe.

"Let's sleep together tonight." She suddenly lacked the courgae to argue.

Alexander, however, just said calmly, "Didn't you sleep well last night? Don't you want to sleep early tonight?"

Victoria asked, "Will you let me go?"

"I will," Alexander said calmly, but his expression clearly showed he was disappointed.

Victoria secretly sighed in relief but quickly tensed up again. "When?"

"Let's sleep first." Alexander, unhappy, let go of her and turned his back to her.

"Alexander, how about in the middle of the night? After Grandma falls asleep, you can quietly send me away." Victoria had a sudden idea and couldn't help but sit up to negotiate with him.

Alexander sighed in frustration, then turned his head and asked, "Are you going to sleep or not?"

"But tonight after midnight is the perfect time."

"You're right, let's do as you say."

"Really? Then I'll go change." Victoria was so happy she couldn't wait to leave.

However, Alexander quickly grabbed her arm again and seriously reminded her, "How will you explain if you're caught changing clothes? Just go like this."

"Right, okay." Victoria actually thought he made a lot of sense.

If Eloise saw her, she could just say she was going to the kitchen for water.

Alexander watched her lie back down, but she was already thinking about escaping, which made him even more frustrated.

He thought, 'Why does she want to leave so badly?'

"I'm really starting to doubt if you fell in love with me at first sight," Alexander suddenly said.

Victoria placed her hands on her lower abdomen, listening to his words, then turned to look at him. After a moment, she awkwardly smiled and turned her back to him, speaking softly, "Let's just pretend it never happened."

Alexander immediately flipped over and pinned her down, his voice low and angry, "Say that again?"

Victoria looked at him above her, feeling an unprecedented calm, and said,  "Let's just pretend it was all a dream."
