Chapter 742 Seeing the Scar on Her Belly

Alexander effortlessly scooped Victoria up and carried her to their master bedroom.

He gently laid her on the bed, then knelt in front of her, his hot breath tickling her neck.

Without even kissing her face, he went straight for her neck, his long fingers deftly unbuttoning his shirt.

Victoria's mind was racing, and she immediately started to struggle, saying, "Alexander, what are you doing?"

"Speak louder, wake our daughter up, let her know how despicable her father is in courting her mother."

Victoria stared at him, confused. What was he talking about?

Courting? This was clearly...

Just because Alexander was her child's father, did that mean he could still have a sexual relationship with her? Even if they were divorced?

And when someone said he didn't know how to respect her, he still felt wronged?

Victoria thought he was so arrogant it was infuriating. She let him take off her nightgown, just lying there on his bed.

The bed was actually warm.

Victoria's emotions were all over the place for a moment, then she silently watched him.

If Alexander saw the scars on her body, could he still continue...

Whatever. She didn't move again, feeling his lips on her skin, inch by inch, until her lower abdomen.

Not only was there a long scar from her C-section, but also a knife wound from Isabella.

Tears slowly flowed out without her consent.

Victoria suddenly felt very relieved.

It was finally seen.

That ugly scar that would remind them of that bloody fight.

Alexander stopped, looking at the long scar under the dim light, his fingers gently brushing over it.

He didn't expect this.

His fingers trembled a bit, but he couldn't help but gently touch it.

Eve's words echoed in Alexander's ears again, Strawberry was born prematurely. Before the due date, Victoria's bones had opened, but the injury on her back prevented her from giving birth naturally.

Victoria felt something fall on her lower abdomen, she couldn't help but feel nervous, not knowing how long it had been, she murmured, "Alexander."

There was no response from him, just a blanket suddenly flew over her eyes.

Like a gust of wind, coldly rushing towards her bare body, the cold body immediately pressed against her, but quickly turned warm.

Everything around was black, she couldn't see anything, but the sound of breathing was clearer.

She was turned over by Alexander, he held her tightly from behind.

Except for the sound of breathing, there was nothing else.

She slowly pulled the blanket a bit, finally able to breathe, she lowered her eyes and murmured, "I'll go accompany Strawberry."

"No," his voice carried a bit of childishness and stubbornness, he holding her tighter.

It snowed last night, so the curtains weren't drawn, when she opened her eyes in the morning, she felt it was particularly white outside.

The warm body behind her was no longer there. With her long eyelashes fluttering twice, she saw the leaves outside clearly, then she silently lay there again.

When she lowered her head, she inadvertently saw their wedding photo on the wall, she thought, maybe it should be taken down?

After breakfast, the two went to work. Alexander's phone rang, on speaker.

"Hello, Mr. Harrington, Mrs. Harrington asked us to take down your wedding photo, should I put it somewhere else?"

Jenny's voice made Victoria quite nervous.

Such a small matter, Jenny still had to ask him?

Alexander glanced at Victoria in the seat next to him, and said lightly, "Don't take it down."

Victoria's phone also rang, she took a look at it. Alexander hung up the phone, she said into the phone, "Hello, Ms. Bryant."

"Yeah, Mr. Harrington's on his way to the office. Okay, I'll call you later."

Victoria hung up and turned to Alexander. "Daisy asked if you have time for lunch or maybe coffee today."

Alexander glanced at her but stayed silent.

Victoria figured he was disgusted by the scar on her stomach since he hadn't said a word to her all day.

She pressed on, "Should I book a restaurant for you? Like you said yesterday, a thousand red roses, private space?"

She felt ridiculous even asking him this, but she was in too deep now.

Alexander still ignored her until she took another call.

"Adrian? I have to work, sorry. I'll take Strawberry to see you later," Victoria said before hanging up.

"Don't take Strawberry to see Adrian."

"The first man to hold Strawberry was Adrian."

"You think I didn't want to hold her when she was born?" Alexander snapped.

Adrian was the first man to hold Strawberry? No wonder Adrian was so smug.

He even bragged about taking care of Victoria by her bedside, never leaving.

The car screeched to a halt by the roadside. Alexander turned to her, "When you were bedridden, was it him who took care of you?"

"What?"

Victoria was confused, but then it clicked, and her face went pale.

What twisted thoughts was Alexander having now?

Alexander heard her confusion and tried to keep his cool.

He felt like he was losing it. Those times when she needed him most, he wasn't there.

He started the car again, speeding to the office building.

At the office, Victoria was about to take another elevator, but he grabbed her, pulling her into his private elevator in front of everyone.

As the doors closed, Alexander cornered her, his voice low and angry, "It wasn't me who wanted to be absent. It was you. You didn't let me be by your side."

People outside couldn't hear them, but they could see Alexander was furious.

Victoria leaned against the elevator wall, looking at his bloodshot eyes, and murmured, "I know."

"You know? You let another man, my brother, take care of you. Did you ever consider me your husband? Did he see your scars? Did he touch them?"

"What are you talking about?"

Victoria thought he was losing it.

Even if he was trying to stay calm, his questions were insane.

Alexander heard her confusion and laughed bitterly, his hands pressed against the wall beside her shoulders. He panted angrily, "You leave Strawberry, you can find whoever you want."

Victoria stayed silent, knowing anything she said would be wrong.

Alexander stepped back, standing in front of her.

The elevator climbed higher, and he put his hands on his hips, staring out at the scenery. When they reached the top floor, he turned slowly, looking heartbroken. He walked closer, pointing at her heart, "You want to leave us to live the life you want, right?"

"The life I want is just..."

Alexander cut her off, "Don't say the life you want is to be with Strawberry. You don't deserve it."
