Chapter 942 From Now on, I'll Visit You Every Week, with Strawberry
"Alright, you're not pregnant. But if you ever become the mistress of the Harrington Group, don't forget about us." A woman chimed in.
"Of course, I'll always remember how you treated me. Don't worry." Daisy smiled.
Everyone was startled by her words, but quickly resumed their sycophantic smiles.
No one ever went against power.
Daisy didn't expect a twist, and her mood improved instantly.
But as soon as she got into the car, she saw a luxury car parked diagonally across from her, and her grip on the steering wheel tightened.
'Why is Elliot here? Has he been following me?'
Daisy paused for a moment, then started the car immediately and sped away.
Elliot's car easily followed.
In the evening, Alexander returned home early, washed up, changed into a clean shirt and trousers, and then went into the kitchen.
"Mr. Harrington." The household chef greeted.
"I'll do it."Alexander walked over to the stove with his long strides and glanced at the prepared ingredients.
The chef knew their tastes well, so the dishes were to their liking. Alexander just needed to cook them.
The chef stepped aside to assist him, and Alexander rolled up his sleeves with his fingers and got to work efficiently.
Victoria came back from outside and saw no one in the living room, so she went straight to the kitchen and saw Alexander's tall and upright figure standing there.
It was a pity for Alexander to be cooking.
He just needed to stand there.
"Mrs. Harrington is back."
A servant came in and saw Victoria first.
Victoria turned her head and smiled, nodding.
Alexander glanced at Victoria, "I'm making soup for you."
Victoria walked over. "What kind of soup?"
"Chicken soup." Alexander smiled at her.
Victoria ignored his words and just looked at the soup, thinking it looked quite good.
Alexander's eyes were filled with a gentle smile as he looked at her warmly.
Perhaps she had come back as promised, he was in a very good mood.
She quickly went out, and after Alexander put the soup on to simmer, he followed her out to the living room, glanced at the pile of things she had bought, and couldn't help but frown, "Where are my underwear?"
Victoria glanced at him and said helplessly, "Did you expect me to go shopping with Diana and Olivia to buy you underwear?"
"Are you saying that when Olivia goes shopping with you, she never buys underwear for Edward?" Alexander asked in confusion.
They were not the same.
Edward and Olivia's relationship was different from theirs.
The more things they bought for each other, the more complicated it got later.
"Just buy me one pair of underwear."
Alexander looked at Victoria, then walked over to sit beside her, putting his arm around her shoulder and softly pleading.
Victoria thought of what Olivia and Diana had said that afternoon, "I booked the tickets."
"I know."
Alexander let go of her after hearing this, sat in silence for a while, and then responded.
Victoria was a bit surprised by his reaction. He didn't say a single harsh word!
"I'll leave after Strawberry's birthday." She added.
"Okay." Alexander agreed, then turned and lay on the sofa armrest, silent.
Victoria looked at him, feeling a pang of sadness, but also a sense of relief.
Maybe in the future, they wouldn't be so confrontational and could talk like normal divorced couples.
When Alexander saw her getting up to leave, he suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Victoria looked down and accidentally met his deep eyes, her heart racing.
"Can you not go?"
"No."
"Then, I'll visit you every week, with Strawberry."
