Chapter 533 He Asked, "as Decisively as You Left?"
"Hey! I heard you were sick, so we came to visit." Tessa leaned against the door, smiling at Felicity like a spoiled kid who never grew up.
Every time Felicity saw her, she felt warm inside. Tessa's eyes were so pure, and her smile so radiant.
But right now, Alexander, Tessa's husband, was in her ward.
So Felicity felt a bit awkward and instinctively glanced at Alexander.
However, Alexander sat there without a hint of nervousness, even coldly asking, "Who invited you?"
"I invited myself, and oh, him too." Tessa walked in with her cute pink bag, and then Benjamin appeared at the door.
When Felicity saw Benjamin, she almost called out "Mr. Beaumont," but then she just smiled.
Benjamin, on the other hand, was very natural. He walked over and placed the flower basket Tessa had asked him to buy on the table, greeting Felicity. "Long time no see."
Felicity could only smile.
Alexander's eyes deepened at this greeting.
When Benjamin saw Felicity wasn't speaking, he asked, "I didn't expect to see you again in a hospital. Are you okay?"
Felicity pointed to her throat, apologetically whispering, "A bit sore."
She hoped he could tell from her hoarse voice that she was really in pain.
Tessa said with concern, "You should drink more water. I had a sore throat from a cold recently, and my mom made me drink a lot of water every day. It really worked; I got better in no time."
Felicity smiled. "Okay."
Felicity lowered her head, the smile on her lips gradually turning bitter.
Benjamin sighed helplessly at Tessa, then looked at Alexander, who was also looking at him unhappily.
Benjamin said immediately, "We'll leave soon, so we don't disturb you."
Felicity instinctively looked up, thinking, 'Who is Benjamin saying this to?'
Alexander saw Felicity on the bed looking at Benjamin, and his gaze became even sharper.
Benjamin looked at Tessa and said, "Let's leave now."
Tessa asked Benjamin, "Isn't it rude to visit a patient for less than five minutes?"
"My agent, Dennis, had something to do, so he asked Mr. Harrington to stay and take care of me for a while. He just called and said he's coming back soon. You three should leave together." Felicity took almost a minute to say this.
Suddenly, Alexander asked, "Where's the phone?"
As Alexander spoke, he was once again stared at by three pairs of eyes.
Felicity thought, 'I'm helping you, okay?'
Alexander coldly looked at her and walked towards Felicity, saying, "Take your phone out and let me see. Why didn't I hear Dennis call?"
Tessa thought, 'Alexander is so fierce. He is thousands of times fiercer than Benjamin.'
Tessa complained to Alexander, "Can't you speak nicely?"
Alexander immediately gave Tessa a cold, sharp look.
Tessa quickly lowered her head, knowing he was annoyed by her meddling.
But he was really so fierce, she was about to cry.
Benjamin couldn't help but frown. He knew that Tessa was spoiled and couldn't stand such treatment.
"I'll take Tessa away first. Take care and get well soon. Goodbye," Benjamin immediately said, then grabbed Tessa and left.
Tessa didn't dare to stay, and as she walked out the door, she turned back to Alexander. "Alexander, no girl will like you if you're like this."
"Let's go." Benjamin directly put his arm around Tessa's shoulders and took her away.
Felicity withdrew her gaze and looked up at Alexander. "Aren't you going to explain to Tessa?"
Alexander said indifferently, "Explain what?"
Felicity felt Alexander didn't care about anything.
He didn't care about Felicity, nor did he care about his current new wife, Tessa.
Felicity originally thought he was so at ease between her and Isabella because he wasn't sure who he really liked.
Now it seemed he was just selfish and self-centered.
How could a selfish person care about others' feelings?
It was just a pity that Tessa seemed to have never seen much of the dark side of human nature. She would probably suffer in the future.
Felicity stopped looking at Alexander and searched for her phone.
Alexander just stood there, watching her search.
Later, Felicity couldn't help but ask, "Where's Dennis? I want to see Dennis."
Alexander said coldly, "I can't hear you."
"I said..." Felicity originally thought it was because of her sore throat, but later, she realized it wasn't.
So she stopped, lay down, and covered her face with the blanket.
Alexander still coldly stared at her until he saw blood coming out of the needle in her hand. He then slowly unfolded the folded tube.
But from beginning to end, his eyes were cold.
"Leave." Felicity's voice trembled stubbornly from under the blanket.
Alexander listened and asked her indifferently, "As decisively as you left?"
"Leave." Her voice was already muffled and weak.
Felicity didn't want to hear him speak anymore, nor did she want him to be in the same space with her.
She thought, 'What does Alexander want? Does he want to stand here and torment me over and over again? When did his time become so worthless?'
Soon, Janaye came with some documents. While Alexander was looking at the documents, she went to buy coffee for Alexander and honey lemon water for Felicity. When Janaye handed it to Felicity, she reminded, "This is very effective for a sore throat. My mom always..."
She hadn't finished speaking when Alexander suddenly called her, "Janaye."
"Yes."
"Shut up," Alexander said indifferently.
Janaye, though puzzled, pressed her lips together.
"Thank you," Felicity said to Janaye, then took a few sips of the honey lemon water Janaye bought for her.
Seeing Janaye standing by her side instead of Alexander's, Felicity thought for a moment and then suddenly remembered something more important. "Can I use your phone?"
"Sure," Janaye agreed immediately.
Alexander's brows furrowed deeply, but he still didn't say anything.
Between them, it seemed something was being suppressed, and once it couldn't be contained, there would be a storm.
Felicity called her phone but didn't hear it ring, guessing it might be in the apartment. Then she called Dennis.
"Ms. Shaba, do you need something?" Dennis answered.
Finally hearing Dennis's voice, Felicity relaxed a bit and quickly asked, "It's Felicity. Where are you?"
"I'm at the film base in Ankenra City."
"What are you doing there?" Felicity asked, puzzled.
"Adrian said he doesn't want to work with Ivan anymore. If I can get Adrian over, you two will be a golden couple, and the three of us will be a perfect team."
"What? Aren't you and Ivan friends?"
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I have to give in to him at work."
Felicity was furious. When she spoke again, she couldn't make a sound. She touched her throat and tried hard to say, "Come back quickly. I'm sick."
Alexander finally looked away from his documents and looked at Felicity, who was anxious to see Dennis.
He thought, 'Does she still want to see Dennis when she gets sick? I'm still here.'
