Chapter 1015 Alexander Goes to the Pharmacy to Buy a Gift for Victoria

"Help me take it off."

His voice dropped, commanding and intense.

Victoria's hands were on his back.

She hesitated for a moment before nervously grabbing his pajama shirt.

Alexander watched her, noticing she seemed almost unable to breathe, her movements stiff and reluctant.

She didn't want to, but she was following his orders.

"Tori, are you doing this willingly?"

He asked suddenly.

Victoria froze. She wasn't.

She just didn't want to be abandoned.

Alexander didn't know about her dream, but he could feel her hand clutching his shirt, unmoving.

He understood, and with a mix of helplessness and sarcasm, he smiled.

He then gently held her chin and kissed her lips lightly a few times. "Silly girl, I'm your husband, not your buyer."

Not a buyer?

Then why did he order her around?

Why did he scare her? Tie her up?

Was that what a husband did?

In her heart, a husband was someone who cared for and respected her, not like this.

She felt his hand grasp her wrist, so she let go of his shirt.

Alexander took her hand and placed it on his chest, then whispered, "You used to be so good at saying no."

Alexander remembered how he used to hate hearing her say no.

But now, he wanted to hear it.

"Tori, tell me you don't want to, okay?"

He was on top of her, his eyes pleading.

Victoria found it hard to believe. He wanted to hear her say no?

So he could have an excuse to abandon her?

Victoria kept her mouth shut, not saying a word.

"You used to love saying no, not, can't."

He smiled, kissing her lightly as he spoke.

Victoria didn't believe anyone dared to say no to him.

With his temper, he could easily overpower someone.

"You can talk. You talk in your sleep, Tori. Please, just say something, even if it's no."

He murmured, his forehead resting against hers.

He wanted to hear her voice.

It had been too long since he heard her voice.

Victoria was taken aback.

She talked in her sleep?

Could she talk?

She didn't even know that.

She felt like she didn't have that ability.

Even when humiliated and thrown into the water, nearly drowning, she couldn't utter a word.

She stayed awake until dawn.

Not because she couldn't sleep, but because she was too afraid to.

She was worried she might talk in her sleep again.

She didn't want him to know she was afraid of being sent away.

If he knew, he would use that to threaten her in the future.

When Alexander woke up the next day, he noticed something was wrong.

Her eyes were swollen.

"Tori?"

Victoria heard him wake up but continued to lie there with her eyes open, not moving.

Alexander saw her lying there with her eyes open and couldn't help but reach out to touch her forehead.

She wasn't running a fever, but her eyes were red and swollen, and she didn't look well.

What was going on?

Alexander lay on his side, staring at her for a long time.

"Let's go to the hospital."

He suddenly decided.

Then his arm was grabbed.

He stopped in time, looking at her hand holding his, then back at her.

There was finally some expression on her face, like she didn't want to go to the hospital.

"Didn't sleep all night?"

He suddenly guessed.

Victoria's expression showed some emotion.

She hadn't dared to sleep all night.

She could wait until he went to work to sleep.

Alexander sighed, then asked, "Why?"

Victoria shook her head.

She wanted to tell him she wasn't tired, but it was too obvious she was exhausted. She felt like she could fall asleep any moment now.

He could probably see the tiredness on her face.

Alexander saw her shaking her head and smiled gently. "Do you want to get up and eat something before sleeping?"

Victoria shook her head again.

"Alright, I'll go to work after breakfast. You can sleep."

Victoria nodded.

He quickly washed up and left.

Victoria heard the door close and fell asleep within a minute.

Alexander waited at the staircase for a while, then quietly went back, opened the door, and looked at the bed.

She was already asleep, not moving at all.

Was it because of what he said last night?

If so, he would have fun teasing her tonight.

Curtis was about to go to work.

As he stepped outside, he saw a luxury car pull up, and a tall, imposing man stepped out.

Alexander had a strong presence, and even Curtis felt a bit intimidated.

Alexander, holding his phone, walked inside and saw him.

"Curtis?"

Alexander spoke first.

"Mr. Harrington."

Alexander found the title amusing and smiled.

Alexander found it strange.

They both seemed like distant people, but this time seemed different.

Curtis just nodded. As Alexander passed by, Curtis felt a distinct chill.

Alexander entered the code and went inside.

Curtis watched, thinking their sibling relationship must be very good.

Otherwise, Diana, who valued her privacy, wouldn't have given Alexander the apartment code.

Alexander saw the box of pastries at the door.

Hearing the quiet inside, he walked towards the bedroom and knocked.

Diana turned over in bed, still sleepy, but soon heard the knocking again. She groggily got up, "Who is it?"

"Me."

"Alexander?"

Diana quickly ran out, surprised to see him, but soon smiled warmly, "Alexander, why are you here?"

"Were you hurt in the car accident last night?"

"Just my arm got hit, it hurts a bit, but it's not serious."

Diana had always been pampered, but she worried Alexander wouldn't care about her after getting married. After that day, she never worried again.

Alexander, seeing she was fine, felt relieved and went to work.

Diana, after seeing him off, noticed the pastries at the door and suddenly felt hungry.

She ate them for breakfast, surprised at herself.

In the evening, Alexander drove out of the office building and stopped by a pharmacy.

Victoria was afraid to sleep at night.

If she couldn't sleep, she could do something else.

When he came out with a bag, the two clerks at the door watched him, thinking this tall, imposing man must be quite something.

He drove a luxury car, so he must be even more impressive. Could the woman handle it?

Serenade Villa.

"Mr. Harrington is back."

"Has Mrs. Harrington woken up?"

"Yes, she's in the living room listening to music."

Alexander walked into the living room with the bag, heading straight to her.

He placed the bag in her lap, "Got you a gift."
