Chapter 71 He said, "We are in the Kind of Relationship Where We Can Do Anything."
But his hand was on her thigh.
Tears continued to fall from Victoria's eyes.
With all his strength, Alexander immediately sucked on her lip, hard.
She could hardly breathe. Her neck arched in discomfort, feeling as if he might drain the life out of her in the next moment.
"Still crying?" He stopped and asked her softly.
Victoria quickly shook her head vigorously.
No one had ever been so rude to her; he was nothing but a thug.
She was truly frightened.
"If you don't control yourself, I might not be able to."
Alexander reminded her patiently again as he reached up to wipe away her tears.
Victoria sobbed. She silently watched him suddenly soften and began feeling increasingly aggrieved.
"Do you know that we are in the kind of relationship where we can do anything to each other, hmm? So, if you don't want to be with me, then stop crying."
He reminded her patiently once more.
Victoria nodded vigorously.
She dared not do otherwise.
"And don't twist your hand again; it has other uses."
Alexander said, holding her hand up to his eyes and gently kissing her fingertips.
She had twisted her hand red.
Victoria just watched him kiss her hand, still feeling very nervous.
For some reason, that gesture was not at all sensual. It felt like he was being...tender.
Was he actually feeling sorry for her?
No, that couldn't be. How could he feel sorry for her?
At most, he just...
Her hand?
Victoria's mind wandered as she suddenly recalled the novel Jasmine showed her today. Her face instantly turned crimson.
Alexander looked at her in confusion, "Why are you suddenly blushing like that? You..."
"I didn’t."
But...
Alexander suddenly found it a bit hard to control himself again.
She was like a startled rabbit, so, instinctively, he pressed his forehead against hers, "Vicky, have you grown up?"
Victoria blushed so much it seemed like blood would drip out of her cheeks.
She was already twenty-three years old.
"Since you’re grown up, you should be able to do some more adult things now, right?"
"Alexander Harrington, shut up!"
She turned away, covering her face with her hand, feeling utterly ashamed.
She could feel the heat in her face; it was surely not a pretty sight.
But Alexander was smiling happily.
Every time she called him by his full name, it meant she was throwing a tantrum.
She...
She was delicate, soft, and always looked innocent, but she was incredibly easy to tease.
"Ahem, Mr. Alexander, Mrs. Harrington, we have arrived."
Uncle Adam parked the car at the entrance and promptly got out.
It was only then that Victoria remembered Uncle Adam's presence and couldn't help but shout in embarrassment, "Uncle Adam heard everything!!"
Alexander couldn't contain his laughter anymore, and he immediately pulled her up. However, this put her back in the ambiguous position of sitting on his lap.
While looking at her flushed face, Alexander remarked, "You're blushing so much; are you feeling shy?"
"Who's feeling shy? I want to get out of the car."
She felt suffocated. She suddenly straightened up, trying to escape.
But Alexander still held her in his arms, looking at her very seriously.
Feeling ashamed, Victoria immediately covered her burning cheeks with her hands, but she then heard him say something.
In his deep, low voice, he said, "The day I asked you why you wanted to marry me, have you thought of the reason why asked you that?"
She couldn't bring her hands away from her face.
Perhaps she married him because she had overestimated herself.
She overestimated, believing he might have feelings for her as well.
"Think about it seriously. Give me an answer before bedtime tonight."
Alexander stated firmly.
