Chapter 513 It Wasn't His Intention

"Alexander?" Victoria's hands roamed over his burning chest, her mind blank, and she was only able to whisper his name.

Alexander kissed her tender lips again, murmuring, "Victoria, ready to explore each other?"

Victoria was nearly breathless from that gentle kiss.

Her head spun until he lifted her and placed her in the bathtub.

She instinctively gripped the sides of the tub, breathing heavily, unable to see him clearly.

Alexander leaned in, pulling her onto his lap.

With a force that felt like he wanted to devour her, he kissed her fiercely.

Victoria, scared by their position in the water, almost fainted. She clung to his neck, afraid she’d fall and drown.

Early the next morning, four men were playing tennis in the castle yard

Olivia leaned on the window, hands on the sill, watching them, unconsciously admiring.

She thought, 'They played so late last night, yet they're up early for tennis?'

They all seemed energetic, especially Alexander.

Edward, still in his pajamas, came to Olivia's door. When the door opened, he saw her leaning on the windowsill, her figure looking good.

Edward greeted, "Morning."

Olivia turned around. Seeing Edward, she immediately asked, "Who let you in?"

Edward smirked. "We've gotten to know each other pretty well. Don't be so..."

"Get out." Olivia kicked him.

She barely touched Edward's stomach, and he pretended to be in great pain, grabbing her ankle.

Edward teased, "What do you want? I'm the only heir in my family."

"I'm not," Olivia said, annoyed, trying to break free. "Edward, let go."

Edward chuckled. "Unless you beg me."

"Enough." Olivia was displeased.

"You said adults don't need to be responsible."

"Let go, I'm getting a cramp."

Olivia didn't think she was bad with words. She just didn't want to bring up that matter. Fortunately, when she said she was getting a cramp, Edward slowly let go.

Olivia could tell he was afraid of hurting her, but she still glared at him. "Don't come into my room without permission again. I still need to get married."

Edward asked, "Did you agree to your dad's matchmaking?"

"How do you know?" Olivia looked at him curiously.

Edward, suddenly unhappy, looked downstairs with his hands in his pockets, his expression more serious. "Our families are old friends. I know everything about your family."

Olivia nodded. "True. Didn't you like the one you were set up with last month either? Don't ask how I know. You still have that model with you this month."

Edward was even more unhappy.

"Why is Alexander so energetic, like he's on something? Could it be last night..." Before Olivia could finish, she saw Edward already walking out.

Edward felt unhappy all morning.

Everyone had things to do, so they took a plane back to the city at noon.

On the plane, everyone was unusually quiet, maybe because of the tennis match.

Victoria slept on Alexander's shoulder the whole time. Alexander flipped through his emails, occasionally glancing at her sleeping soundly, a hint of pride in his eyes.

Although they didn't go all the way, Alexander did spoil Victoria a bit last night.

Blame it on Victoria finally wearing a dress in front of him.

Her exposed skin awakened the beast he had suppressed for years.

And she was so shy in the water.

But tiring her out like this wasn't his plan.

Olivia, sitting diagonally across from them, glanced over and saw Alexander's satisfied smile. She nudged the person next to her. "Hey, look at Alexander."

Edward, half-asleep, mumbled, "What?"

Olivia turned around, raising an eyebrow. "Why is it you?"

She glared at William behind her.

William smiled helplessly. "Not my fault. Edward threatened me."

"Shut up. Don't disturb the couple's sleep," Edward mumbled, then looked at Olivia, whispering, "I just think this seat is good, not for you."

Olivia thought, 'I chose a good seat, of course.'

Since they were already sitting together, Olivia didn't fuss. She whispered, "Look over there. Alexander can actually be like this."

Edward glanced over, knowing Alexander was all about Victoria, but he...

Edward suddenly asked, "What perfume are you wearing today?"

Olivia, confused, asked, "What's wrong?"

"Is it Prada?" Edward sniffed her shoulder, looking disgusted.

"Hey, don't sniff around."

"Smells pretty good."

Olivia looked at Edward in surprise, but Edward, after teasing her, closed his eyes to rest again.

Olivia crossed her arms and closed her eyes to rest. She fell asleep for those few hours, leaning on Edward's shoulder the whole time.

Edward really wanted to know if Olivia hated him or liked him.

They had been too familiar before.

He couldn't not like Olivia, the girl he watched grow up, as long as she liked him, too.

Before they even returned to the city, news of them taking wedding photos was everywhere.

In the evening, Isabella asked when she got home, "Is my dad back?"

The housekeeper replied, "Mr. Montgomery is out for an engagement tonight."

Isabella, though unhappy, went inside and saw Naomi alone. She couldn't help but complain, "Why are you still watching TV here? Aren't you afraid my dad will be taken away?"

Naomi said indifferently, "I don't care about that, as long as he doesn't divorce me."

Walking down the aisle, Naomi was prepared to win, come hell or high water. A lifetime of luxury was simply the best-case scenario.

So she minded her own business, as long as there was enough money.

Isabella asked nervously, "What about my matter? Alexander is preparing for the wedding. Didn't you say you and dad planned to make her disappear?"

Naomi replied, "Dorian changed his mind."

"What?"

"Didn't you say you know their family password?"

"What do you mean?" Isabella asked, sitting in front of Naomi.

"Everything will be easier, no need to cause a death," Naomi said.

"Just say it clearly, it's frustrating," Isabella urged.

Naomi explained, "Dorian said we avoid casualties if we can. Although Alexander has many enemies, he is the most powerful among the people in the city. If the Montgomery family goes bankrupt because of offending him, it would be a loss. So, we should use another method first."

Naomi agreed with Dorian. Some century-old families indeed were ruined over small matters.

They didn't want the hard-earned status of the Montgomery family to end because of a marriage.

Isabella asked, "So what's the other method?"

Naomi replied, "It's you."
