Chapter 393 Cheerful

"Of course, they have always admired you so much." Victoria moved aside, avoiding his touch, and replied calmly.

"So, what do they like about Jason? Alexander resorted to saying, "He's not even willing to take responsibility for you." Mr. and Mrs. Kensington also had their moments of misjudgment.
Victoria remembered what her own parents used to say-the overly sweet words that made her uncomfortable. She spoke slowly, poking at her plate. "They say Jason is like a little sun-an optimist. I will definitely be happy with him."
He had no worries about money. Besides, his parents were healthy. So as long as they were happy together, it was enough. Even her own parents had thought about what kind of nanny to hire to help with the children.
Victoria's eyes gradually filled with disappointment once again.
She recalled the way her mother and father used to discuss Jason, as if it were happening right in front of her.
Compared to men who were stable and capable, they preferred cheerful children because they felt they were stable enough themselves, so their children didn't need to be as serious.
Well, stable people usually had some inner... Victoria turned to look at Alexander. Did he have any reservations yet?
Alexander's hand had somehow hooked her shoulder again, quickly moving to touch her ear.
Victoria's gaze began to blur more and more, taking a long time to come back to her senses.
She was able to squeeze herself into the sofa because of its length. In a low, hoarse voice, Alexander said, "We can be happy too."
Victoria looked at him, her heart repeatedly throbbing uncontrollably for him.
But she hadn't lost herself yet. She just smiled. "Mr. Harrington, don't joke."
When she first came back, that was how she used to address him. "Victoria, I feel like I can't lose you." He grabbed her hand, gently opened her clenched fingers, and placed it on his chest.
He wanted her to know that even there, his heart was beating for her.
At that moment, he even wanted to make love to her.
She covered her mouth before he could kiss her. Her voice had already slurred, "Don't kiss." "I can't hear you, darling," Alexander said.
When he involuntarily said it, that 'darling' made one feel as though they could sacrifice their own lives for it. Victoria felt a tingling sensation in her chest and noticed someone holding her wrist. Yes, he removed the hand covering her mouth and lightly rubbed her forehead against his nose.
"I seem to be drunk," he mumbled, his voice getting hoarser.
"Have you been drinking?" Victoria wanted to pull her hand back, but he held it down.
Wanting to have a good conversation with him, she didn't smell any alcohol at the moment.
"Nothing at all. Not a drop. Is it because I have a soft and delicate Victoria lying beneath me?” Alexander replied.
Victoria suddenly frowned. It took a while before she couldn't help but murmur to him, "Stop kidding. We are impossible."
"Would you like to have the wedding the day before Christmas?" He suddenly said.
Victoria's heart tightened. "I wouldn't."
"Then what day would you prefer? Alexander asked.
"Alexander, give it up. It's impossible for us to be real husband and wife," Victoria replied.
"Is that so?" He leaned down, finally kissing her.
Victoria didn't anticipate a kiss. Weren't they just conversing? Why was he moving around her?
"Alexander, can you not do this? Can you stop rubbing?"
Victoria turned her head to free her lips from his, then asked an irritated question. The ambiguity kept expanding, as if it were about to erupt.
Victoria felt she couldn't resist his constant probing.
But the moment she thought of him holding Isabella, she immediately struggled hard. When he kissed her neck, she stretched it even further towards the edge of the sofa.
"I'm about to fall," Victoria shouted.
Alexander supported her neck.
Well, now she was completely under his control.
"Shall we go back to the room, okay?" He gently nudged her waist as he spoke. Victoria felt an immediate sense of crisis, pressing down on her pocket. "Okay, okay."
