Chapter 409 Extreme Humiliation

It was like a war without any warning.

Two women harboring their own thoughts.

Isabella felt extreme humiliation when she saw Victoria enter the CEO's private elevator.

Victoria stood inside, looking coldly at the anxious woman outside, composed and calm.

She suddenly realized that she not only had no sympathy for Isabella, who was terminally ill, but she even found some satisfaction in seeing the woman standing outside looking like being slapped in the face.

It was Isabella who admitted to Victoria that she had sent someone to threaten her. Without Isabella's confession, that transformation would not have happened.

Victoria wondered, 'Is it necessary for people to be hurt to grow? If so, it is time for someone else to be hurt.'

After going upstairs, Victoria had just set down the coffee when Janaye took a cup and whispered, "The boss wants you to go to his office when you come back."

Victoria glanced at his office, sighed helplessly, and asked, "Does he say anything else?"

Janaye shrugged her shoulders and shook her head.

Victoria felt tired in her heart. 'I am either dealing with people all day. And now I need to deal with him too?'

However, shortly after, she still went to knock on the door.

"Come in." A deep voice came from inside.

Victoria's heart skipped a beat, but she pushed the door open and entered. "Mr. Harrington, do you wanted to see me?"

"Yes." Alexander heard her formal tone and could only endure it.

Sometimes, he even found it a bit interesting.

"Why don't you answer when I call you?" As Victoria approached, Alexander looked up at her and asked.

Victoria, still, held her phone. "It is on silent."

Alexander glanced at her phone. "Alright."

Victoria disliked it when he said "alright" because she wasn't sure if he really believed her.

'But why did he call me? Was it to ask if Isabella was really downstairs, or to tell me not to let Isabella up, or to let her come up?' However, she didn't want to hear any of those questions.

Victoria stood there silently, watching him focus on the documents, and asked, "Do you need anything else?"

"I have to meet some managers later. Please help me choose a tie," he said casually while looking at the documents.

After hearing this, Victoria didn't say anything else. She knew he was going to meet with some managers in the morning.

She turned to the lounge to pick a tie for him.

There was a whole box of them in various colors.

He didn't wear ties often, except when meeting important people, as a matter of courtesy.

She hadn't seen him wear a red tie before, so she reached out to touch one, thinking to herself, 'Thankfully, we aren't in love. Otherwise, I would definitely play a prank.'

But she thought again, 'Even if he wears a red tie, he won't look bad.'

She chose a blue one, which was more conservative.

As Victoria went out, Alexander had just stood up to answer the phone. Seeing the tie in her hand, he didn't come over but said to the person on the other end of the line in a deep voice, "Understood. You handle it yourself."

He hung up the phone, leaned against the edge of the desk with both hands behind him, and said to her, "Come here."

Victoria slowly moved forward, looking straight ahead, not daring to approach.

Alexander sighed helplessly and reminded her, "Help me with it."

Victoria looked up at him, and after a while, she refused, "You can do it yourself."

"If a wife can't help her husband with his tie, can a secretary help her boss?" Alexander asked.

"If your secretary has to help with your tie, I'm afraid your wife wouldn't like it," Victoria replied.

She really couldn't understand those who asked their secretaries to help with their ties.

Alexander chuckled. "But my wife is my secretary, so you have to help me no matter what."

He lazily leaned against the desk, one hand grabbing her slender waist, the other quickly pinching her. "Hurry up, I'm short on time."

Alexander spoke in a deep voice, keep looking at her.

The moment Victoria's waist was held, her heart suddenly trembled, and her expression became tense.

She immediately raised her hand, putting the tie around his neck.

Seeing that she refused to look at him throughout the whole process, he deliberately lowered his head to kiss her.

Victoria dodged to the side, quick to evade, her face turning red.

Alexander fell silent but smiled at her.

Victoria didn't know what he was smiling about, gently flipping his collar with her delicate hands, placing the tie down, and then straightening it for him.

"I don't expect Mrs. Harrington to be able to tie a tie. You're really capable."

Here he went again!
