Chapter 822 Meeting Equals Giving a Chance

Back then, Victoria stayed because Alexander used Strawberry to threaten her.

At that time, they each made a concession.

But now, they had let things get to this point again.

"The agreement is void," Alexander said.

Victoria's mouth moved, but she couldn't say anything else.

Alexander turned and entered the elevator, while she just stood there until Janaye called again, but she still couldn't figure it out clearly.

Later, when Victoria left the office building, she looked up and saw Alexander's tall figure still standing there.

She thought he was waiting for her, but when she looked diagonally across the street, she saw the girl standing in the wind.

Daisy.

Daisy was wearing a very gentle-looking suit, smiling shyly and gently at Alexander.

Alexander suddenly took long strides toward Daisy and deliberately asked softly, "Didn't I tell you not to come?"

"I already came," Daisy noticed Victoria behind them, saw Alexander's expression, and immediately understood something, quickly whispering.

"Let's go," Alexander said with a helpless smile, walking forward.

Daisy glanced at Victoria, then quickly turned and ran to catch up.

She thought Victoria and Alexander must have had a fight, which was her perfect opportunity to take advantage.

As Daisy and Alexander walked away, Alexander suddenly stopped, and Daisy immediately bumped into him, "Mr. Harrington, I'm sorry."

Alexander originally just wanted to look at Victoria, but her bump made him feel annoyed.

A black minivan stopped beside Victoria, and Alexander recognized it. He immediately bypassed the apologetic Daisy and chased after it.

Victoria looked at him coldly, thinking that bumping into someone could happen to anyone, but the suddenly stopped car caught her attention. She saw who was inside, glanced at Alexander, and immediately walked over to get into the car.

The car hadn't been turned off, and as soon as Victoria got in, it drove away.

Alexander finally stopped but couldn't help mocking himself.

No wonder she didn't say which friend she was meeting; it turned out to be Adrian.

Alexander suddenly became furious and jealous.

That night, he had begged Victoria so much, but she still wanted to entangle with another man.

She never paid attention to what he said, only running away.

She still wanted a divorce?

As the car drove away, Victoria's phone rang. She looked down, but the call quickly ended.

Seeing Alexander's name, she was silent, and suddenly a message came through.

[Come down.]

Victoria read it, turned off her phone, and silently looked at the scenery outside the window.

He probably knew she wouldn't answer, so Alexander sent a message instead, but even that was meaningless.

Victoria just wanted to stay away from him, even if only for a while.

Ava, sitting next to Victoria, saw her looking gloomy and asked, "Your relationship with Mr. Harrington hasn't stabilized yet?"

Victoria turned to look at her and just smiled slightly.

Ava sighed, "Actually, over the years, seeing you two go from unfamiliar spouses to almost enemies, I think you should divorce. I think the reason you don't want to give up Strawberry is that she is your life, your reason to live. But Victoria, have you ever thought that your life is always yours and your reason to live won't disappear just because you're temporarily separated from Strawberry?"

Ava had always been the calm one, even when saying such things.

Victoria's gaze gradually became indifferent.

Ivan, driving in the front, also quietly observed Victoria's expression through the rearview mirror, afraid his sister Ava might offend Victoria.

"Why should I be the one to separate from her?" Victoria asked softly.

She had given birth to Strawberry against all odds and had enough confidence to raise her. Why should she only see Strawberry after she grew up?

Ava naturally understood Victoria's persistence, smiled, and then spoke seriously, "Because, with Alexander's status and reputation, you can't win this lawsuit. If he wants to take her, Strawberry can only be his."

Victoria turned to look out the window again.

She had realized this, which was why she signed that agreement with him back then.

But Alexander had just said the agreement was void.

He wanted her to go back to that house?

Damn it.

What nonsense had she said?

Just because there were some brief happy memories there, she considered it her home, but it wasn't.

He had already driven her away in his unique way.

Victoria gradually couldn't see the familiar scenery outside clearly, and she smiled, but it was both mocking and bitter.

"There is another way," Ava said.

Victoria turned to look at her and began to tear up.

Ava said, "You can secretly take Strawberry away."

Secretly?

But it wasn't as easy as Ava thought.

The weather gradually became particularly gloomy. Victoria looked at the dark clouds ahead and thought, 'This must be a dark spring.'

"I can help you, even if it means losing Adrian," Ava said.

Ava finally got to the point.

Victoria smiled, "How can you help me?"

"Taking a child away isn't that hard."

"Yeah."

Victoria thought of Eloise in bed and could only look helplessly into the distance.

Eloise still loved her; Eloise felt guilty towards her and always wanted to be good to her.

Victoria silently clenched her hand. She didn't know how long it had been when Ivan stopped the car, and Victoria got out.

Victoria went back to work and quickly went to the meeting room.

Alexander was already sitting inside. When he saw her rushing in with her notebook, he looked up and gave her a cold glance.

Victoria knew he was unhappy and just lowered her head and went in.

They could no longer communicate well about Strawberry or perhaps about anything.

But her exclusive chair still had a soft cushion on the back, making the two-hour meeting bearable.

After the meeting, Alexander was still sitting there. When he looked up at her again, his gaze was even colder.

Victoria got up to leave, but Alexander lifted his finger on the table, "Wait a moment before you go."

Victoria stopped, holding her notebook, waiting for him to speak.

"Did Adrian's drunkenness make you feel sorry for him?"

Victoria looked at him in confusion. How did he know about Adrian's drunkenness last night?

Alexander saw her expression and mocked her, his long fingers lightly tapping the table, his deep voice continuing, "If you don't like him, even if he dies, you shouldn't see him again. Don't you understand? Seeing him means giving him a chance."

Victoria listened and calmly asked, "So when you see Daisy, are you giving her a chance?"
