Chapter 511 Beat or Scold as You Wish
Alexander asked, "Am I being too harsh?"
"Yeah, you still want to marry me, but you're so mean. Aren't you afraid I won't marry you?" Victoria couldn't hold back anymore and started arguing.
Alexander fumed, "What do you mean? Are you thinking of running away from the wedding?"
Victoria shot back, "Well, if you keep calling me stupid and treating me badly, I might. Haven't you seen Runaway Bride?"
Alexander despised illogical entertainment, vowing to one day produce a show where the woman eagerly pursued marriage.
"Just try running away," Alexander's deep voice finally softened a bit.
He grabbed Victoria with both hands, and with a slight force, she fell into his arms, unable to control herself.
His chest instantly softened like water, and his gaze at her became tormented, entangled, and then filled with such deep love.
Victoria felt a sudden pang in her heart from his gaze.
She thought, 'Does he realize he was just too harsh earlier?'
Victoria lowered her eyes to avoid his intense gaze and said softly, "You told me to leave."
Alexander asked, "I told you to leave, and you just left?"
Victoria muttered, "What else was I supposed to do?"
Alexander's breath hitched. Her overly compliant demeanor was really getting to him.
"Aren't you the one who bites me?" Alexander's deep voice gradually made Victoria blush and her heart race.
She couldn't help but look up at him for a few seconds, then quickly pretended to look away unintentionally.
She thought, 'Bite him? Sometimes it was just the atmosphere. I don't normally get physical with a guy, especially someone I liked.'
Thinking about how Alexander was someone she liked, Victoria couldn't help but look at him again.
The room gradually became quiet and warm.
"Arguing, huh? How can I argue by myself, right?" Alexander played with her fingers and suddenly made a slight sound.
The room was dimly lit, easily leading one's emotions into another scenario.
Victoria gradually calmed down and couldn't help but mutter, "But you were so mean, calling me stupid and telling me to leave. I was scared."
"What are you afraid of? I'm your husband. If I upset you, you can hit or scold me."
Victoria looked at him for a long time, unable to look away.
'Hit or scold him?' she thought.
Alexander saw the doubt in her eyes and asked, "Don't believe me?"
Victoria said softly, "I can't beat you."
Alexander said, "If you hit me, I won't really hit back."
Victoria unconsciously bit her lip.
She suddenly thought of those movies where couples fight, and it seems like they're just playing around and quickly make up.
She thought, 'Would we make up quickly, too? But now, he was already in my bed.'
Thinking about it, Victoria couldn't help but smile, shyly looking at Alexander and asking, "Did you come to my room to make up?"
"Of course." Alexander gently held her tightly in his arms.
Victoria's face grew even hotter, feeling his body heat against his firm chest.
Then their two passionate hearts seemed eager to get closer to each other.
She looked up at him, and Alexander was already leaning in. His gaze darkened, and she softly said, "The door's not closed."
Alexander muttered, "It's just the two of us at home."
Hearing this, Victoria finally met his lips.
In themorning, Victoria woke up alone in bed, gently stroking the pillow Alexander had used, feeling like they were in the throes of a passionate romance.
They had been married for two years. How could she feel this way?
But it was so sweet, like her heart had been filled with honey, and she was sure of that sweetness.
They were going to take wedding photos, with friends gathering and Alexander's private jet flying them to the most beautiful coastal castle.
What she had thought about before getting their marriage license was actually coming true two years later.
She had once been certain they had no future.
At that day, wearing her wedding dress and accompanied by Olivia, Victoria quietly watched Alexander being surrounded by friends as he walked towards her.
He was wearing a specially tailored suit today. Although it was black, it looked even more distinguished than usual.
Victoria felt like she was dreaming.
The wind was strong, but she didn't feel cold.
Alexander had hired a famous director and photographer from back home to get everything done in one day.
As Alexander walked towards them, Olivia couldn't help but say, "I never expected this."
Victoria turned to look at Olivia and said with a smile, "Neither did I."
Olivia continued, "I didn't expect it when we were kids, but after you got your marriage license, I did."
No one would have expected that the girl Alexander liked as a child would be the one he married when he grew up.
Someone he had known from so long ago, and they ended up getting married.
'I really didn't expect it,' Victoria thought to herself.
Alexander didn't say anything as he walked towards her.
She adorned herself in a priceless James-designed wedding gown, intended for her sacred wedding day.
But Alexander said, "Clothes are meant to be worn."
He looked at the wedding dress with a particularly calm expression.
His gaze seemed to say that the dress's value could only be realized when worn by its owner.
And its owner was his wife, Victoria, who was standing in front of him at that moment.
They were legally married, protected by law.
As Alexander approached, surrounded by their companions, Victoria beamed with an unbearable sweetness.
She had her long hair up and stood in front of him.
Alexander suddenly felt a pang of sadness, then pulled Victoria into his embrace.
"Hey, it's just a wedding photo shoot today. Don't make it look like a wedding ceremony." William reminded them.
Victoria and Alexander couldn't help but laugh, but he still couldn't resist gently kissing her forehead. "You look beautiful today."
"You look handsome today too," Victoria sweetly whispered.
They couldn't help but look into each other's eyes again.
The photographer casually took a few shots and was very satisfied. Since they had already scouted the location, the shoot went quickly.
Olivia sat by the shore, watching the two of them take photos, and couldn't help but feel envious. "It's so nice."
Edward stood behind her and slowly squatted down. "What's nice?"
"Being in love is so nice. They don't see anyone else in their eyes."
"I don't see anyone else in my eyes either."
Olivia glanced at Edward and was speechless.
She thought, 'Everyone knows that Edward was always with either supermodels or up-and-coming actors. Even though we had been intimate...'
"I've said it before. We're adults and have known each other since we were kids, so I won't hold it against you. Let's just take what we need and move on," Olivia said seriously.
Edward said, "Got it. You don't think much of me."
'Don't think much of him?' she thought.
Olivia sighed helplessly, then looked at the couple taking wedding photos with envy.
The group took many photos together, and in the evening, they quickly finished dinner and went to play cards.
Victoria and Olivia weren't interested, so they enjoyed the night view by the shore.
As they played cards, Edward suddenly asked, "Are you planning to have your wedding night early tonight?"
Alexander had a few more drinks tonight and seemed a bit smug. While looking at his cards, he casually said, "No rush."
