Chapter 947 You're Not Suitable
The door was knocked again.
Alexander responded irritably, "Got it."
Diana heard the sound and gave a playful smile before leaving.
Victoria pushed his hand away, "Let's go, it's not good to keep the elders waiting."
"Victoria," Alexander called.
"Don't say anything."
She murmured, not wanting him to pester her any further.
Alexander had no choice but to let her go, feeling a bit annoyed.
After dinner, Adrian came back and saw Victoria, which inexplicably lifted his spirits.
Eloise was playing chess with Victoria, and the family gathered around. Adrian walked over and said, "Victoria, playing chess with the master of taking back moves, very impressive."
"Looks like everyone has experienced Grandma's skills."
Diana teased as well.
Eloise made an annoyed expression and then grabbed Victoria's wrist, "Hold on, I didn't see that."
Victoria smiled helplessly, "Grandma, you're wearing your reading glasses."
"The reading glasses are dirty. Didi, clean them for me. Don't move yet."
Eloise said, taking off her glasses and tossing them to Diana, then squinted at the chessboard again.
"That's right, Grandma can't see clearly. Don't mess up the board while she can't see."
Diana bent down and whispered in Victoria's ear. A servant brought a cloth to clean the glasses, and Diana took it and leisurely cleaned Eloise's glasses.
"Then I'll sip coffee first."
Victoria said, picking up the cup beside her and quietly sipping her coffee.
Seeing Victoria drink coffee, Eloise's eyes suddenly seemed fine.
Alexander sat next to Victoria and suddenly leaned in to her ear, "Is my cup useful?"
Victoria's face flushed, she looked down at the cup she was holding, then looked at the table.
In her haste, she had grabbed the wrong one.
Besides, the cups were all the same.
Victoria whispered, "Here, take it back."
"Stop flirting, I won," Eloise claimed.
"Grandma," Victoria called out helplessly.
"What's going on? Did I win? Did I really win?" Eloise looked very surprised.
Arabella and Maximus just smiled helplessly, and Brett lightly patted his thigh and said, "Alright, it's late, let's call it a day."
"Alright, I won without my glasses, how lucky," Eloise said, feeling quite pleased.
"Grandma, your glasses are clean. Let me help you put them on."
Diana stepped forward to help Eloise put on her glasses and hugged her shoulders, acting spoiled.
Eloise patted Diana's hair. With her children and grandchildren around her, it was impossible not to feel happy.
Another cup of coffee appeared in front of Victoria. She glanced at the refilled cup, then looked at Alexander beside her. Alexander said, "Have some coffee, soothe your throat."
Alexander retained his amiable disposition. Victoria didn't know what was up with him. They hadn't had a pleasant conversation in the bathroom earlier, and he had been a bit moody during dinner, but now he was pouring her coffee again.
There were too many people around, so Victoria took the coffee.
Alexander watched her sip the coffee and whispered, "Is it good?"
Victoria blushed.
Seeing Victoria's embarrassment, Adrian said, "By the way, Victoria, there's a role with just one scene recently. Do you want to do a cameo?"
"What role? I'll do it."
Diana immediately showed interest upon hearing this.
Adrian smiled, "Diana, it's not suitable for you."
Diana looked at Adrian mysteriously and pouted, "Why not?"
