Chapter 495 Don't Like Eating Alone, Want to Share

He had kissed her in the elevator so many times, but this time was exhilarating.

He was forceful and wild as if declaring his sovereignty.

Victoria felt a bit dizzy, unsure if it was due to her fever or the lack of oxygen from his kiss.

As time ticked by, he finally released her lips, still holding her face, looking at her with full intensity. "Don't ever doubt me again."

Victoria slowly opened her eyes, adjusting her breath as she looked at him.

"Aren't you doubting me too?" Victoria asked.

Last night, when he saw Adrian with her, he had doubts about him.

"I know nothing happened between you two," Alexander said.

She felt both puzzled and helpless.

She had already guessed that Mark had called him. Otherwise, he wouldn't have shown up at her place at that time.

"I'm not doubting but angry," he added.

Victoria didn't know why her heartbeat gradually sped up.

Was he explaining to her?

She lowered her head and whispered, "Don't do this suddenly."

"What?" Alexander puzzled.

"Don't explain suddenly."

The elevator door opening drowned out her soft sound.

She wasn't sure if Alexander heard her, but she moved aside to keep some distance from him.

After all, this was the office area.

Alexander had to lower his hand but couldn't help staring at her. Seeing her so uneasy, he couldn't help but call her, "Victoria?"

Victoria looked up at him, only to see him suddenly smirk.

"Sooner or later, I'll lick your bones clean," Alexander said.

Was he trying to scare her?

How long would that take?

How much effort would that require?

Victoria watched him stride out, waiting several seconds before daring to sneak out, afraid of making any inappropriate noise to alert him.

He should hurry back to his office and definitely not look back at her.

Janaye came back with two cups of coffee and saw Victoria. "It was timed perfectly. The coffee is fresh."

"Thanks," Victoria said.

"Stop drinking it while taking medicine."

Alexander leaned out to remind her as the office door opened before she could hand it over.

She immediately withdrew her hand.

But after Alexander's office door closed, she still quietly drank it.

Just one cup of coffee cups was smaller, less than 11 ounces.

Around ten in the morning, Victoria was feeling a bit overwhelmed when her phone suddenly rang.

"Hello?" Victoria asked.

"Come over here. There's an incorrect document," Alexander ordered.

"Okay."

Hearing that a document was incorrect, Victoria immediately ended the phone and went to his office.

Curious, Janaye watched from the side.

Victoria had a fever and was called into the office at this time...

Ten minutes ago, Alexander had someone send fruit to the office.

Their boss was quite considerate.

Victoria knocked and entered, seriously asking, "Mr. Harrington, which document are you referring to?"

"You'll know when you come over," Alexander replied.

He was sitting on a sofa, reviewing a document.

As Victoria walked over, Alexander reminded her, "Sit down."

Victoria glanced at him, then sat on the single sofa.

They were close enough for him to hand her the document.

Alexander suddenly looked up at her, saying enigmatically, "Our Ms. Kensington dares to sit in the boss's seat, not bad."

Victoria immediately felt embarrassed, so she leaned forward and asked, "What's the problem?"

With no outsiders around, there was no need for formalities.

"Eat strawberries." Alexander suddenly pushed the fruit plate on the table towards her.

Victoria looked at the table, then quickly at him in confusion.

She didn't dare tell him that she was already moved when he told her to eat.

He actually had someone cut fruit for her.

Strawberries didn't need cutting, but the fruit tray had them cut and put elegantly.

"Moved?" Alexander looked at her with gentle eyes, unable to help but ask.

"Didn't you say there was a document error?" Victoria asked back.

"How could Victoria make a mistake?" Alexander replied.

Victoria thought Alexander was really bad.

"I can feed you if you feel unwell." Alexander suddenly leaned closer, seriously staring at her.

"Stop grossing me out."

After eating a few pieces from the fruit platter, Victoria looked at the person next to her and picked up a new skewer, offering him a delicious piece. "Here."

Alexander looked at the strawberry and then ate it.

'Today's strawberries are probably the sweetest he has ever tasted,' he thought.

Victoria would take a few bites and then give him some.

She had never liked eating alone since she was a child.

Her parents always liked to feed each other just like this.

She liked to join them from a young age. If there was something delicious, the whole family had to share it.

Now, she no longer had a family of three.

Her eyes felt a bit sore as she looked at the strawberries.

Did they count as a family of two?

She didn't dare look up at him, afraid that her inappropriate emotions would be discovered, but when she inadvertently saw his fingers tapping on the table, a small feeling floated up in her heart.

After he had signed the document, she had finished eating.

Alexander looked at the empty plate and couldn't help but ask, "Did I eat more?"

"Of course, I ate more since it was in my hands," Victoria replied.

She hugged the fruit plate, feeling good after eating the strawberries.

Alexander looked up at her, seeing her smile, and felt a surge of emotion.

"After eating, go take a nap. I'll call you when it's time to leave." Alexander opened another document.

Victoria puzzled. "Do you mean you want me to sleep in your lounge at work?"

"Yes, you are perfectly right," Alexander replied.

"Hurry up. Did you really think I called you here to work?" Alexander spoke more seriously this time.

He didn't want her to be home alone without care.

Here, if she got tired, she could sleep and be watched.

Victoria didn't know exactly what he was thinking, but at that moment, her eyes felt sour. "Will it affect my attendance?"

"Did you spend all the money I transferred to you last time?"

Alexander only asked this one question.

Victoria thought of the money he had transferred before and immediately shook her head.

She didn't spend a single cent.

"I'll transfer more to you later, and it won't affect your attendance. Go to sleep," Alexander reminds.

"Okay," Victoria agreed because she was indeed very tired.

But after he said this, she would be too embarrassed to ask him about attendance in the future.

She put down the fruit plate and prepared to leave.

Alexander suddenly turned and seriously called her, "Victoria."

"What is it?" Victoria puzzled.

With affection and remorse intermingled in her heart, she gazed up like a spoilt little girl.

"Come a little closer," Alexander whispered.

"Okay." She was just curious and obediently moved closer to him.
