Chapter 814 Alex, Will We Grow Old Together Here?
"You can't even do magic, and you still dare to be so fierce,"
Victoria whined petulantly.
Alexander just stared at her, fully understanding what it meant to be helpless.
He was furious, yet his heart ached terribly.
He couldn't help but pull her into his arms, gently stroking her back, whispering to her, "I'll show you when we get home."
"Are you going to show it?"
"What?"
"You always do this; I don't want you anymore."
She loosened her grip on his neck, pushed against his shoulder, and started to push him away.
Alexander immediately held her tighter, "I'm yours for a lifetime, you can't refuse."
"I just want to refuse, who told you to be mean to me."
Victoria whined, unable to escape his embrace, she felt so miserable and was about to cry, "Alexander, let go of me, you bastard, you're unfaithful."
"Unfaithful?"
Alexander loosened his grip a bit, giving her space to breathe, frowning as he questioned in a low voice.
"It's you. If you can't love me completely, why did you marry me? Why did you say you only love me?"
Victoria remembered this, and even though she was drunk, her eyes reddened with grievance, staring at his chest, her finger poking at it repeatedly.
She was so aggrieved, and Alexander could barely contain himself. He cupped her face, pressing his forehead against hers, controlling his breath as he murmured, "I love you completely."
He had always loved her completely.
How could he let her feel so wronged time and again?
Alexander felt so sad. He just wanted to kiss her.
But just as he was about to kiss her, Victoria deliberately lifted her chin to avoid it, accidentally kissing his nose.
He lowered his eyes, soon hearing a low whimper like a puppy.
Victoria was puzzled, how did she end up kissing him?
She lowered her head, slurring, "Alexander, you can't bully me."
"You bullied me."
"I'll bully you, who told you to bully me first?"
She mumbled, then suddenly cupped his face to kiss him, trying to jump onto his waist. Alexander, pushed by her, instinctively moved towards his seat.
Victoria whimpered again, looking at the thing blocking her, then grumbled angrily, "Even you are bullying me."
It was the seatbelt.
Alexander was extremely frustrated and immediately unbuckled it for her. When he tried to pull her onto his lap again, she suddenly flailed her arms, "Don't touch me, don't touch me, you're all bullying me. My mom will scold you if she finds out."
Her long-suppressed grievances were finally released at this moment.
Then, for a long time, the car was filled with her sobbing.
Later, Victoria cried herself to sleep in his arms. When she woke up again, the car had stopped at Serenade Villa.
"We're home."
Victoria looked outside, instinctively murmuring.
Alexander paused, turning to look at her.
But her eyes were full of genuine emotion.
She truly considered it her home.
Alexander's heart felt warm, and he cooperated, "Yeah, we're home."
She suddenly hugged his arm tightly, "Alex, will we grow old together here?"
"We will."
Alexander looked at her, suddenly unable to do anything.
So, where did her firm belief in divorce come from when she was sober?
He didn't know.
But at this moment, he was very clear, in her heart, that this was her home, and she wanted to grow old with him here.
Victoria looked up at him, then leaned on his shoulder again, "Will you carry me in? My back hurts for some reason."
Alexander's Adam's apple bobbed, and then he got out of the car.
Soon, he came to the passenger side, carrying Victoria out.
Victoria still leaned on his shoulder, very obedient, her eyes bright as she looked at him.
The cold wind with light rain was insignificant at that moment.
Alexander strode firmly, carrying her into the house.
Alfred came to turn off the lights, seeing them return, but noticing Victoria seemed unwell, he just stood there and nodded.
"Get some rest."
Alexander tiredly instructed.
"Right away, Mr. Harrington."
Alfred agreed, leaving.
Alexander carried Victoria upstairs, back to their comfortable room.
On the wall was their wedding photo.
Victoria was placed on the bed but didn't let go of him, glancing at the opposite wall, "Why is it still hanging there?"
"Because it records our important moment," Alexander explained.
Victoria seemed to find it very reasonable, nodding, then continued to stare at the large wedding photo.
At this moment, her memory seemed completely jumbled. She couldn't tell what was real or fake.
She just leaned in his arms, briefly enjoying the warmth from his body.
She murmured, "Will you sleep with me?"
"Nothing would make me happier."
Alexander whispered.
Victoria blushed, then slowly closed her eyes.
Alexander gently kissed her forehead, only releasing after several seconds.
She fell asleep drunk, but he couldn't sleep for hours.
Now, she was by his side, and he knew her true feelings.
After washing up, Alexander lay down beside her, gently stroking her cheek.
Victoria felt a bit ticklish, instinctively turning, her soft arm draped over his firm waist, her face buried in his freshly cleaned chest.
Alexander looked down, unable to hold back a proud smile.
She always talking about divorce.
But she let it all slip after a drink, didn't she?
Later, she slept well, and so did he.
The next day, around seven, sunlight peeked through the curtains, and a phone rang.
Victoria's warm body slowly turned, lazily reaching for the phone, swiping it, and putting it to her ear, "Hello, who is this?"
"Is this Victoria?"
The other person was clearly in disbelief.
Victoria was stunned, forcing her eyes open a crack to look at the number on the phone, and then her memory slowly returned.
This didn't seem to be her phone.
What was going on?
She instinctively glanced to the side, seeing the person lying next to her, she quickly moved away, staring at him in shock, hearing the woman on the phone say, "Are you with Alex?"
"None of your business."
Victoria quickly hung up, annoyed at answering the wrong call and more annoyed at how she ended up lying next to him.
She glanced at the wall, seeing the photo, even in the dim room, she saw it.
How did she end up here?
"Alexander, wake up."
Victoria kicked his leg.
"Stop it. You were restless all night, sleep a bit more."
He mumbled, and as he felt her unusual position, he opened his eyes, grabbed her shoulders, pinned her down, then hugged her tightly, his legs trapping her, "Go back to sleep."
