Chapter 564 Breaking News

Victoria got out of the car, still a bit uneasy, and glanced back at Alexander.

Wearing a faint smile, Alexander said, "See you tonight."

Despite being puzzled, Victoria still walked inside the set.

Alexander looked at her high heels and sighed.

Nicole came over from a distance, saw the luxury car, and thought it must be Alexander. Seeing Victoria go away, she immediately went to knock on his car window.

Alexander glanced outside but ignored her, starting the car and driving away.

Nicole thought angrily, 'How can he be indifferent? How could he not like a pretty woman like me? I used to play the lead role, too! And my figure is definitely much better than that of Felicity.'

An hour later, Harrington Group released breaking news: Alexander and Victoria's wedding, previously postponed, would be completed soon.

Benjamin was drinking coffee in Alexander's office. After reading the news, he gently placed his phone on the table and asked, "Does Victoria know you had Penelope release this news?"

Alexander stroked the back of his phone. After a deep breath, he replied faintly, "She'll know soon."

Just as he finished speaking, Victoria called.

He glanced at the phone, saw it was Victoria's number, and hung up.

Benjamin stared at him and asked, "Aren't you afraid she'll run away again?"

Alexander remained silent.

Benjamin sighed, then thought of something and asked, "Did you explain things with Tessa?"

"She knew," he replied faintly.

The phone rang again. He glanced at it and hung up once more.

Benjamin couldn't help but ask, "Wasn't that Victoria?"

"Yes," Alexander replied.

Benjamin asked, "Why didn't you answer?"

His confusion stemmed from the fact that for many years, Alexander had been waiting for Victoria's call.

After Victoria left as a child, Alexander often stared at his phone in a daze.

Even after Alexander got married and left, he did the same.

Later on, he almost had his phone with him every second. Others thought it was because of billion-dollar business deals, and no one knew he was actually waiting for a woman's call.

And today, this woman called twice in a row, but he hung up both times.

There must be something suspicious.

Alexander said softly, with a hint of disappointment, "I'm waiting."

For some reason, Benjamin felt that Alexander had been unusually gloomy lately. With his years of understanding, he sensed that Alexander might be quietly planning something.

In the afternoon, after filming, Victoria was about to leave when she turned around and saw someone standing at the door; it was Isabella.

Victoria didn't want to see her, while Isabella seemed eager to see her.

Victoria's mind flashed back to last year when Isabella was in her bed, and her eyes immediately turned cold as she walked toward the door.

Isabella didn't say much. As Victoria approached, she walked out first.

A few people curiously watched them.

Once outside, Isabella immediately spoke, "You seem to be in need of money."

Victoria frowned at her, askingcalmly, "Ms. Montgomery, how do you know that?"

"Otherwise, why would you become an actress and come back to Ankenra City?" Isabella replied.

Victoria listened and gave a cold smile, still politely asking, "Don't you know this is my hometown?"

"Your hometown?" Isabella suddenly squinted at her.

"If you have any questions, please ask them all at once. I don't want to see you again in the future." Victoria suppressed her anger, calmly suggesting.

In her understanding, the more she disliked someone, the more they wanted to make her angry, the less she would give them the satisfaction.

Isabella sneered, "I thought you would back off after I got together with Alexander. I didn't expect you to come back."

She listened to her words, deliberately drawing out Alexander's name, and asked softly, Victoria asked, "Are you sure you're with 'Alexander'?"

Isabella's face darkened as she replied, "Of course, I even wore that wedding dress worth over a billion dollars."

Victoria asked again, "Not a replica?"

"A replica? How could it be? Alexander personally dressed me in it. He's not the kind of man who would give a woman something cheap," Isabella said, looking as if she knew Alexander very well.

Victoria couldn't help but laugh, then nodded. "I see."

"How can you be so calm?" Isabella didn't understand.

Victoria looked at the setting sun and said, "What's the use of not being calm? Especially when dealing with someone like you, trash."

She said "trash" with a particular helplessness.

Isabella's face immediately turned very sullen, and she couldn't help but question her, "Say it again?"

"Do you have anything else? I don't want to waste too much time on you." Victoria ignored her threat and asked again, impatiently.

Isabella said angrily, "Victoria, you know you can't win his heart. You know he only married you out of obligation."

"Whatever the reason, it's fine with me." Victoria smiled at her.

Isabella said, "I've slept with Alexander, and you know that, right?"

"So that night, you did it for me to see?" Isabella couldn't say it out loud, but Victoria asked.

Isabella replied, "So what if I did?"

"I'm impressed by the daughter of the Montgomery family." Victoria said nonchalantly and was about to leave.

Isabella immediately blocked her way. "Victoria, you and Alexander can't be together. I know you need money. I can support you and even introduce you to some influential people, as long as you leave Alexander."

Victoria said, "Haven't you seen today's news? The Harrington Group announced that we are getting married soon."

Isabella was speechless.

Then Victoria added, "Looks like you have nothing else to say. Goodbye."

"Victoria, do you really think you can marry him?" Isabella turned and questioned her back.

"As long as I want to." Victoria didn't look back, leaving only those calm yet determined words as she walked away.

Isabella choked up, her vision blurred.

She found it laughable that Victoria still dared to marry him.

When Adrian came out, Isabella turned and mocked him.

As Adrian passed by her, he said, "The Montgomery Group is about to collapse, and you still have time for romantic entanglements?"

Isabella retorted, "And you? She's about to marry Alexander, and you still can't do anything."

"As long as she's happy, I'll give my blessing," Adrian said seriously.

"Blessing?" Isabella was stunned for a few seconds, then laughed mockingly.

She didn't believe anyone could truly bless the person they love to be with someone else.

It was all just self-deception.

Adrian looked at Victoria's back and thought of her words, "As long as I want to," feeling he had no hope.

Or maybe he never had hope.

She never had anyone else in her heart; it was always Alexander.

Even though she said love was annoying...

Ava said no girl truly didn't long for love; they just didn't dare to try again after being hurt by it.

Isabella stayed in her car for a long time before leaving the set. When she passed by a hotel, she saw a black sedan parked there, with a license plate full of 7s.

It was Alexander's car.

Isabella thought, 'Is he here to see Victoria again? Even though Victoria had once run away from the wedding? Why isn't the woman who died at the Regal Retreat that night Victoria?'

Isabella's car slowed down as she watched him get out, but she didn't dare to stop.

Alexander would really kill her.

She would never forget that night. If it hadn't been for the drugs, she might have lost her life.

Victoria could leave him at any time, but she, even if he disfigured her, would still be willing to return to him. She wondered why he couldn't look at her more.

The Montgomery Group had been declining for the past year.

He was more ruthless than before.

Previously, he wouldn't compete for what the Montgomery Group wanted.

But in the past year, as soon as the Montgomery Group's contracts expired, the partners signed agreements with the Harrington Group, and at lower prices.

Isabella suddenly thought of something and immediately made a call, "Dad, it's me. Do you still like that bitch?"
