Chapter 920 Ask Her Have an Abortion
"I guarantee you, Isabella won't be able to get out."
Alexander's tone was resolute.
But Victoria felt a heavy weight in her heart. How could she be confident that he would keep Isabella in prison forever?
Victoria looked up at Alexander, but it only added to her sadness.
He was good at making promises today and breaking them tomorrow, so she dared not expect him to keep his word.
Love at first sight is truly beautiful.
But that beauty only lasts for a moment.
"Let's go back. Your grandma called to urge us."
"I told her we're going back to Serenade Villa."
Alexander said, holding Victoria's hand.
Victoria felt a bit uneasy. "I can't go with you."
"Why?"
"I'm going back to the apartment. I'll leave after Strawberry's birthday."
"Tori,"
"Rest assured, according to the agreement you set, I won't appear in front of you."
Alexander squinted his eyes, slowly smiling in exasperation and affection as he looked at Victoria. "I knew you wouldn't agree so easily."
Victoria lifted her head at his words, but only saw the fabric of his shirt, and then lowered her eyes.
"But I have to take you back to Serenade Villa."
Alexander suddenly picked her up.
Victoria was startled and reflexively reached out to wrap her arms around his neck.
Seeing her pale face, Alexander said as he walked, "When we get back, you need to take good care of yourself. You're too skinny."
Victoria didn't quite understand who he was talking about.
He had lost a lot of weight recently.
She didn't know who he had lost weight for.
But he was as strong as ever.
When Alexander carried Victoria out of the room, Eve and the medical staff standing outside were stunned.
Eve opened her mouth, trying to say that the doctor wanted to do another check-up, but seeing Alexander carrying Victoria away so quickly, she didn't call out.
"No need for a check-up. He's fine."
The doctor looked on, shook his head with a helpless smile, and then left with his hands behind his back.
Eve saw a few young people following the doctor leaving.
Then she should leave, too.
Evening, The Harrington Mansion.
Alexander went straight back to Serenade Villa after being discharged from the hospital. Eloise sighed after she heard, "Alexander seems to care less and less about us now."
"He can barely handle Victoria alone," Arabella replied.
Eloise laughed, "If he can manage to appease Victoria, that would be a good thing."
"I heard Victoria wanted to leave, and he refused to agree no matter what, so he just picked her up and left."
Arabella whispered.
Diana and Adrian sat quietly on the side, both looking unhappy.
Diana couldn't help but snort.
Arabella heard and asked Diana, "Why are you snorting?"
"I don't have a husband to carry me. Can't I snort?"
Diana muttered.
"If you want to find a man, it's easy. We can find you an excellent one."
"I don't want one, unless..."
Diana thought of Curtis, who despised her, and wanted to say something, but didn't dare.
She didn't care if the elders didn't like Curtis; after all, her marriage was her decision. But she was worried that everyone would like him while he looked down on their wealthy family.
Arabella saw Diana's expression and was sure Diana had someone in mind. Even though Adrian was there, Arabella still asked, "Which man do you have your eye on? Tell me, and I'll ask him why he doesn't like you."
"You don't know him," Diana muttered.
Seeing her depressed, Adrian also started to feel down.
Adrian couldn't reach Ava by phone anymore. He could reach Ivan, but Ivan said Ava wouldn't let him tell where she was.
What was Ava planning?
Hadn't he treated her well as his agent?
Over the years, he made money, and she made a lot too.
She just left like that and took his child with her.
Adrian thought Ava was terrible.
Was she planning to have the baby and then come back to force him into marriage?
Eloise had already called Melissa, who should be on the plane by now.
Adrian felt a bit anxious, not knowing how things would turn out.
Would Brett and Eloise force him to marry Ava, just as they forced Alexander to marry Victoria?
Thinking of Victoria made Adrian's heart ache; he didn't want her to be his sister-in-law, nor did he want to marry his agent, Ava.
It wasn't that he cared about the gossip in the entertainment industry; he just felt that Ava was too domineering.
She was even more controlling than Melissa.
"Is Adrian thinking about Ava? He's been silent."
Eloise asked Adrian softly.
Adrian snapped out of it, "Grandma, I do miss Ava, but not to marry her. She ran off with my child. I suspect she plans to use the child to force me into marriage. You don't know, she's very clever and has many ideas."
"Isn't cleverness a good thing? You don't like to make decisions yourself. Having a woman to make decisions for you is your good fortune." Eloise expressed.
Brett came out and, as he sat down, remarked, "Look at your grandma, your mom, your aunt. Which one of them isn't clever, strong-willed, and decisive?"
Adrian had nothing to say.
Indeed, the elders in the family were all decisive.Even Victoria wasn't without her mind; she was just too weak to have a say.
Adrian sometimes thought that if Victoria had her say, she would have divorced Alexander long ago. If they had divorced, then maybe Victoria would already be his wife, or at least his girlfriend.
"And I think you need someone to keep you in check. When Melissa arrives, you should visit Ava's house. By the way, make sure the gifts are prepared in advance."
Brett instructed Arabella.
"Don't worry, everything is ready," Arabella assured him seriously.
"We trust you with these matters, Arabella. And Adi, I need to remind you, when you get to their house, don't be willful. Be polite."Brett instructed Adrian.
"Grandpa, I'm not going."
Adrian immediately expressed his thoughts.
"You have no choice. We're going to take you with us, whether you like it or not." Eloise asserted, looking at Adrian.
"Grandma, what you're doing isn't appropriate."
"I think you came back to us to make decisions for you. Isn't that what you wanted?"
Arabella leaned in and said to Adrian.
"No, I just, just..."
"Just what?"
Arabella stared at Adrian, thinking he was in love but didn't realize it.
"Just afraid Ava will use our child to threaten us. We need to find a way to stop her." Adrian explained.
"You could ask her to have an abortion. That way, she can't threaten you."
"Abortion?"
