Chapter 153 A Home Filled with Children

"Have you forgotten your promise? You swore to provide a home for me and our child, to acknowledge us as your wife and son," Isabella cried out, her voice laced with desperation.

Alexander responded with a weary sigh, "I haven't forgotten."

Upon hearing his words, Isabella's tears abruptly ceased. "Then surely, you haven't forgotten your declaration of lovelessness towards her. You claimed your marriage was merely a duty-bound obligation."

Victoria, carrying a tea tray, was just about to enter the office when she overheard the conversation.

"Are you brave enough to admit it, Alex? Have you truly uttered these words?" Isabella pressed, stepping closer to him.

“I’m not afraid to admit anything.” Alexander declared boldly.

"Then confess your love for me, your commitment to never leave me and our child. Alex, losing you would be my end."

With that, Isabella flung herself into his arms, clinging to him as if her life depended on it.

Edward stood awkwardly to the side, uncertain of whether to stay or leave, when his gaze landed on a figure at the door. "Ms. Kensington?"

Victoria could no longer hide her presence. She stepped into the room, her gaze lowered, and murmured an apology. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop."

Alexander remained motionless, his gaze shifting to Victoria as Isabella clung to him. Victoria refused to meet his eyes, placing the tea tray on the table before turning to leave.

Edward felt a pang of guilt, as if he had stirred up a hornet's nest.

Alexander abruptly pushed Isabella away, his voice cold and harsh. "Don't touch me again, or I swear I'll force you and Sebastian in marriage instantly."

"Alex."

"Don't call me that again, Isabella. I hope to never see you again."

With a final threat, he strode out of the room, leaving Isabella calling after him.

"Alex, Alex!"

"Don't follow him," Edward cautioned, holding Isabella back.

"He's gone after Victoria. What's so special about her? What right does she have?" Isabella's eyes filled with tears as she demanded answers.

Edward looked at the woman before him, feeling as if he was seeing a stranger. Just moments ago, she had been affectionately referring to Victoria as 'Vicky', and now she was questioning her worth?

Victoria stepped into the elevator, followed closely by Alexander.

Hearing his footsteps, Victoria looked up. Alexander moved swiftly, trapping her between himself and the elevator wall.

A loud bang echoed, everything spun, and her vision blurred.

"Everything's a lie, don't believe it," he pleaded, his voice hoarse with emotion.

Victoria tried to laugh, but tears streamed down her cheeks. She nodded, acknowledging his words; it was all a charade.

"All those things I said, they were against my will, because..."

"Because my parents had that accident on the way to grandma's birthday celebration, and that's why you were pressured into marrying me, I know it."

She knew everything now.

She had heard the words from his own lips.

Now, looking at the man before her, she felt a mix of loathing and agony. She couldn't understand why, if it was all a lie, he wouldn't just get a divorce.

"Victoria."

Alexander cradled her face, his heart aching as he watched her cry. He didn't know how to console her and could only keep wiping away her tears.

"Stop going against your heart for me. I wholeheartedly wish you and Miss Montgomery a lifetime of happiness and a house full of children," she said, biting her lip in an attempt to steady her trembling voice.

"No, it's not that," he protested.
