Chapter 623 Locked the Door and Got a Lesson

The wealthy woman, Laura Ward, greeted politely, "Hello, Mr. Harrington."

Isabella, who had been beaten, suddenly stopped screaming when she heard Alexander had arrived and quieted down.

Through the gaps between many pairs of legs, Isabella saw someone who seemed like a savior to her.

At that moment, she reached out her hand.

However, Alexander did not stop.

She even saw Alexander firmly holding Victoria's hand and striding out.

As Victoria caught sight of Isabella's beseeching gaze amidst the crowd, she witnessed Alexander whisking her away. However, despite witnessing this, she didn't make any attempt to halt their departure either..

Laura couldn't help but sneer when she saw Alexander take Victoria away, then turned back, "Keep beating her."

"A slut who seduces married men, and she denies to be a homewrecker, how ridiculous." A woman spat on Isabella's face, and someone else kicked her in the abdomen.

Isabella's hatred reached a new peak at this moment.

Why did he leave so decisively? It was all because of Victoria.

Isabella vowed to exact revenge, but her determination was abruptly interrupted as a fierce high heel struck her head forcefully. She felt a ringing in her ears, and then...

"She fainted, what should we do?" A woman suddenly shouted.

"Let's go," Laura said without a trace of sympathy.

Then several women left with their heads held high as if they had won a battle.

As Victoria settled into the car, her gaze inadvertently drifted out of the window. She couldn't help but think that Isabella probably never anticipated such a miserable turn of events for the evening.

Isabella was not pitiful, even if she fainted.

People passing by would only watch coldly, and it was at the entrance of the Frosty Summit Hotel, so she was quickly carried away.

Alexander drove away with Victoria without looking back.

However, the atmosphere inside the car was suffocatingly oppressive.

Victoria remembered the smell of perfume on him last night and finally spoke, "Why didn't you save her?"

"What does it have to do with me?" he replied distantly.

Victoria then looked at him and said, "Didn't you meet her last night?"

"Are you talking about when Benjamin and I were drinking, and she suddenly barged into our private room?" Alexander glanced at her with deep eyes, then looked ahead and drove seriously.

The atmosphere in the car became even stranger.

Victoria suddenly felt a jumble of emotions, thinking, 'Was it really just like that?'

She unnaturally grasped her hand with the diamond ring, then silently lowered her head.

The diamond was too big, attracting attention wherever she went.

A sudden recollection flashed through Victoria's mind—the simple ring that Alexander had worn around his neck for a long time. She turned her gaze back out of the car window, her thoughts consumed by the events of the previous night.

Why didn't he explain earlier?

It made her overthink from last night until just now, almost exhausting herself.

Would he never explain to her unless she asked?

As they arrived at the Harrington Mansion, the car took a turn onto a meandering narrow path, flanked by tall trees.

They had to drive further in to see the brightly lit mansion.

The car stopped at the door, and Alexander got out first.

When Victoria unbuckled her seatbelt to get out, the door was suddenly opened from the outside.

A chilling gust of wind swept in from his side, causing an instant chill to settle upon her shoulder. However, the cold sensation dissipated quickly, not lingering for long.

Because Alexander's hand suddenly appeared in front of her, she knew she could get warmth by just reaching out to him.

Despite realizing that the warmth could be transient, this time she didn't hesitate much and gave him her hand.

In the wind, they stood by the car like that.

Alexander looked at her, and Victoria, having drunk, seemed to be getting tipsy. Her skin was slightly red, making Alexander's heart a bit chaotic.

He silently held her hand tightly, waiting for her to look at him.

"Let's go inside," Victoria said faintly, but didn't look at him again.

Alexander held her hand without moving, his deep eyes staring straight at her.

Victoria looked up at him in confusion. "Are you going out again?"

"Why did you pretend to be asleep last night?" Alexander asked.

"Why did you suddenly leave last night?" Victoria asked back.

Neither could answer the other's question, yet it seemed like they had already responded.

When they got inside, Victoria briefly talked on the phone with Olivia and then headed upstairs, with Alexander silently following behind.

They seemed like an old married couple, familiar with everything about each other.

Yet also like newlyweds, unfamiliar and extremely tormented.

Later, Victoria went to take a shower, and Alexander stood by the window, staring blankly in the direction of the bathroom.

When his phone rang, he glanced at it and lazily answered, "I'm not going out tonight."

"Why?"

"She seems unhappy," Alexander said faintly, looking towards the bathroom.

Not long after, the call ended, and he put his phone back in his pants pocket, but his eyes still looked in that direction.

She took a long time to shower, and his slightly anxious eyes couldn't wait for three seconds before he straightened up and strode towards the bathroom.

If he wanted it, why hesitate?

Victoria was still washing her hair when she heard some noise outside, stopping her hand movements, but soon she slowly resumed washing, guessing it was him. Luckily, she had locked the door.

Alexander stood frustrated at the door, holding the doorknob, his forehead against the door, and couldn't help but laugh at himself.

He felt like he was going crazy.

He thought that after having sex with her, he could go in and out of any place with her and make love wherever he liked.

He forgot that Victoria was good at locking doors.

Alexander couldn't remember where the key was, so he could only turn around with a helpless smile and wait silently.

But his mind suddenly pictured her naked body.

Her skin was so tender, so tempting. Just thinking about it made him feel a bit repressed, but he had to endure it.

Half an hour later, Victoria came out clean, wearing long sleeves and pants, and opened the door.

Alexander's blank eyes finally had some light, and he looked towards the door.

The familiar scent of body wash gave a reassuring feeling. He looked at her, smelled the scent, and couldn't restrain himself anymore, pulling her to the wall and kissing her.

Victoria hadn't even seen Alexander, thinking he was already on the bed or standing by the window.

It turned out he was at the bathroom door, and now, he was dominantly kissing her on her lips and sucking her tongue.

Victoria, held by the neck, instantly couldn't breathe, wanting to escape, but he held her tightly, kissing her even more intensely.

"You like locking doors?" Alexander bit her lips, then asked in a low, hoarse voice.

Victoria finally understood that locking the door had angered him, but just as she was about to explain, her tongue was forcefully sucked by him.

Her voice instantly became hoarse and couldn't come out for a long time.

Alexander kissed down her neck slowly, his slender, fingers skillfully unbuttoning her clothes, then squeezing her waist.
