Chapter 454 Those with a Mother Are Truly Blessed

The voice coming out stunned the three women there.

That was Alexander, the most mature and composed big shot in Ankenra City, who never raised his voice.

But suddenly, he seemed like an annoyed big boy who was desperate to say such things.

After speaking, he immediately blushed with embarrassment.

"Alexander, I didn't mean to. I'm just so tired, and besides, haven't we been through this before?" Isabella slowly stood up, hesitantly saying.

"What have we been through?" Alexander immediately asked.

Victoria felt like a bystander who meant nothing to them, farthest from them, and should be able to tell right from wrong.

Alexander was clearly annoyed at this point. His eyes were cold toward Isabella. But why was he standing by while his wife was hurt? Was it really just because he had no evidence against Isabella?

"What do you mean 'been through'? She already has a child," Naomi immediately said.

Alexander  was amused in anger. "Isabella, we've already cleared things up. Your child is Sebastian's. I'll skip how you got into my bed. Please go out through that door."

"Alexander, Sebastian and I harmed you, but I know I was wrong."

Isabella appeared weak and about to collapse as she talked.

Naomi supported her and said, "Honey, don't cry or be sad. The doctor said you shouldn't get emotional."

"Mom, it hurts so much," Isabella leaned on Naomi, saying painfully.

Victoria silently watched from the doorway, thinking how lucky it was to have a mother.

She stood there, almost unable to listen any longer, wanting to leave.

As she glanced at the door, she heard someone mention her.

"Could you two please leave even if you're enduring the pain? Otherwise, Victoria might get upset," Alexander ordered coldly.

Victoria wondered if she was hallucinating. Why was he mentioning her at this moment?

She looked at Alexander, who was also looking at her.

"Could you help me seeing them off?" He whispered.

His tone was very different from when he spoke to Isabella and Naomi.

"Please, both of you." Victoria instinctively complied, but at that moment, she couldn't even tell if she was a secretary or his wife.

"Alexander, please forgive me, please forgive me," Isabella repeated.

"If you hadn't suddenly told me you were pregnant, making me mistakenly believe we had a relationship, there wouldn't have been such rumors. I wouldn't have given Victoria the divorce papers. There's no love between us." Alexander thought it was good to clarify things.

Victoria was stunned, and so was Isabella.

"Do you erase all happy memories to avoid responsibility? Alexander, you disappoint me," Naomi suddenly said, then hugged Isabella, "Let's go."

At the door, Naomi looked at Victoria and said, "If he can treat my daughter so callously, one day he'll do the same to you."

"Really? I'm so scared," Victoria replied calmly.

Seeing how Victoria dismissed her, Naomi snorted angrily and then left with Isabella.

Victoria abruptly closed the door with force behind them.

Alexander was still standing there and swore,  "I swear, there is no affair between Isabella  and  me, and I won't treat you callously."

"Didn't I tell you not to make promises lightly?" Victoria reminded him.

Swearing? If he faced divine punishment, regrets would be too late.

They were standing a bit apart, and Alexander felt a bit helpless.

He couldn't even see her pouting face clearly.

Was she pouting and sulking now?

But looking at the bed, he didn't want to go over.

Honestly, he hated other women sitting on his bed.

Alexander glanced at her again, saying, "Find another ward."

Victoria looked at him, then at the bed, "Didn't you two lie there together?"

"I was drunk that day. I only realized she was in my bed when I woke up," Alexander replied.

"I got it," Victoria replied, and then turned. "Alright, your secretary will immediately arrange for a new room for you. Please wait."

Alexander felt both amused and exasperated. She switched roles quickly.

But it didn't matter.

He was very weak and needed care at night. He couldn't afford to be alone by his bedside.
