Chapter 487 Humiliation

"Take her back." Alexander's captivating eyes glanced from her to the person on the sofa.

"Alright." Edward was also worried that if Isabella really entered the lounge, it would be hard to explain to the couple, so he quickly put down his cup and got up.

"Are you really going to end our years of friendship for that woman?" Isabella questioned him indignantly.

"Yes," Alexander was resolute.

Isabella suddenly looked pitiful and took a step back.

Tears quickly fell from her eyes. How could she be defeated by Victoria, who was younger and had nothing?

She thought about it and looked towards the lounge door. Walking forward, she said, "I just want to stay and see what this woman is capable of."

"Isabella." Alexander blocked the door, grabbed her arms, and pushed her back. Isabella fell to the ground and sat there. "Alexander, are you treating me like this for her? What about our years of affection?"

"We have no affection," Alexander replied.

"How can you say that? We grew up together. You loved me," Isabella said.

"I never loved you, Isabella. Stop talking about things that never happened. Please don't come to my office again, and don't appear in front of us. I'm not just saying this."

Alexander ignored her pain and warned her in a cold voice.

"Isabella, let's go." Edward felt that Isabella was almost unrecognizable, but they had gone to the hospital to check her medical report, which showed she indeed had leukemia.

"I won't leave. Why should I?"

Isabella said as she tried to sit on the ground again.

Edward had to hold her arms and looked at Alexander for help.

"Do I need to call the guards?" Alexander asked.

"What do you mean?" Isabella was stunned when she heard Alexander say he would call guards.

Was he planning to have her thrown out?

Alexander grinnedand walked straight to the door.

Victoria was talking to Shoure. Alexander glanced at them and said, "Please ask Ms. Kensington to call guards."

Victoria and Shoure then looked towards the door. Shoure, who had been leaning on her desk, stood up straight, and Victoria also stood up.

Edward helped Isabella out, and she looked very messy.

"I'll leave," Isabella asked Edward to let go of her and walked to Alexander, looking defeated and shameful.

Janaye was watching quietly, thinking that if it were before, she would have thought Alexander was too fickle, but now she just wanted to say, 'Well done.'

Isabella stopped by Victoria and sneered. "Don't think you've won. You'll never be happy."

"But it seems like the most unhappy person right now is you, Isabella," Victoria looked at her and retorted coldly.

"Unhappy? I have parents, a home, and a career. What do you have?" Isabella couldn't help but ask.

Edward frowned at this. Was this woman really that jealous? It was terrifying.

"You can't comprehend my home's vibe with your superficial family. Though my parents are gone, they live on in my and others' hearts. Living people may as well be dead. Are you also dying?" Victoria looked at her coldly and spoke calmly.

Isabella was rendered speechless by her last sentence. Was she dying?

It seemed Victoria was indeed hoping for her death.

She laughed. "With modern medicine, I won't die. You'll be disappointed."

"I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next," Victoria said as she picked up her phone, "Call two security guards to wait at the high-rise elevator."

"You!" Isabella shouted, having already come out herself.

"Alright, let's go. It won't look good if the security guards arereally called." Edward quickly stepped forward, held her, and walked out.

Inside, Alexander was still looking at Victoria.

Victoria put down her phone only after they entered the elevator. Janaye, who had been intimidated by her earlier, whispered, "Ms. Kensington, did you really call security guards?"

"Would you dare disobey the boss's orders?"

Victoria sat back down and continued working.

Just as she placed her hands on the keyboard, she heard a soft door closing sound not far away.

Her words earlier were harsh. Would Alexander be unhappy?

She didn't care.

Another scene began downstairs. When the elevator opened, ten security guards stood in two rows.

Edward and Isabella's faces didn't look good as they came down.

It wasn't very pleasant, especially Isabella's face, which looked like she had been slapped multiple times.

The security guards didn't touch them. Theyjust followed the two step by step.

There weren't many people in the lobby, but a few staff members were quietly watching.

Edward thought that next time he came, he should get a fortune-telling to avoid such embarrassment.

Isabella felt like a circus clown but stubbornly told him, "Just wait. One day, I'll make Victoria crawl out of here crying."

Edward couldn't believe what he was hearing and couldn't help but softly remind her, "You should stop causing trouble. Alexander likes Victoria."

"That affectiondon't last long," Isabella retorted.

"Does that mean the marriage certificate won't last long either?" Edward asked.

"What do you think?" Isabella asked back.

"I only know that our parents and elders have all had long-lasting marriages," Edward replied.

"Their generation is different from ours," Isabella said disdainfully.

In any case, she wanted to make Victoria very embarrassed, like a rat crossing the street, despised by everyone.

Isabella left Alexander's office building and went to the crew. When Adrian came out in a black suit, she thought he looked really handsome, almost like Alexander.

Adrian was surprised to see her. Isabella leaned against the car and handed him a cup of coffee she had bought in advance.

"Thanks, but why did you suddenly come to see me?" Adrian asked.

"Of course, I missed your handsome face. Wait a moment." She took her cup and suddenly had a nosebleed. She turned to the car to get a tissue.

Adrian frowned, having heard she had leukemia.

"Sorry, I've been feeling unwell lately. Did I scare you?" Isabella asked.

She wiped and wiped, using several tissues, and finally threw them in the small trash can at the set entrance.

"Are you okay?" Adrian concerned.

"I won't die anytime soon. I still want to receive your wedding invitation," Isabella said.

Adrian leaned against the car with her, staring at the trash can with a bitter smile.

"If you still like Victoria, why don't I help you?" Isabella said.

"How?" Adrian looked at her with interest.

"Of course, it's..." Isabella's words were interrupted.

"Wait, I have more trash to throw away. Please come back later to collect it," Adrian said.

A janitor suddenly came to collect the trash, and Adrian immediately stopped him.
