Chapter 465 My arm has gone numb from you using it as a pillow
"Even if I'm not the homeowner, neither are you," Victoria retorted.
Although she had seen the contract before signing, she had forgotten.
But she paid for it, so it was hers at the moment.
Alexander didn't want to argue with her. After randomly dialing a phone number and hearing a message, he asked upsetly, "Is the car still being fixed? What's there to fix?"
He quickly ended the phone, threw it onto the couch, and looked up to see her still standing silently at the door.
Victoria was still sulking with him. He was standing in her living room as if it were his own home.
"You..." Alexander was going to reprimand her again, but he saw her defiant mouth and remembered kissing her while she was tipsy. He immediately calmed down and said lightly, "You need to eat before taking your medicine. Fever reducers can hurt your stomach."
Victoria stared at him, dumbfounded.
"I don't need your concern. Go care for that other woman," Victoria said.
"Which one?" Alexander was even more confused.
"The one you picked up last night," she replied.
"Get straight to the point. Did I ever pick up a woman? I only come to see you," Alexander questioned her.
"Don't play dumb with me. I'm not blind. Besides, when I called you last night, she answered. Am I hearing things now?" Victoria felt so aggrieved that she couldn't hold it in anymore and blurted everything out.
Isabella had answered his phone, and even she had to ask him first.
How infuriating it was!
How could he allow Isabella to answer his phone, especially when she was the one calling?
Victoria thought about it and got angrier. She pointed to the door, "Get out."
Alexander felt extremely uneasy hearing this and couldn't help but ask, "You slept in my arms all morning, making my arm go numb, and you still want me to leave?"
Victoria dropped her door-pointing hand meekly.
Did she sleep on his arm all morning?
How was it possible?
"When did you come?" Victoria asked.
"Why don't you call your brother-in-law and ask?" Alexander replied.
Victoria lowered her head in embarrassment.
Alexander looked at her jealously and couldn't help but say, "What? You only knew he came. Did you think you were sleeping on his shoulder?"
Why was he so angry?
Victoria looked at his fierce expression and shrank back silently.
"Did you think you kissed him? Please don't blame me for not warning you. If you think that, I'll punish you."
Victoria was stunned.
She remembered seeing his face at some point. Was it him, then?
'Was it not a dream? And then?' She turned awkwardly into the restroom as her mind buzzed.
As she approached the mirror, she softly closed the door and clasped her hands to think.
Victoria looked up and saw herself so embarrassed, ashamed, and anxious in the mirror.
Suddenly, she stepped forward, grabbed her neck, and leaned closer.
A scene suddenly flashed in her mind. She was holding onto something and kissing it. Was it Alexander's mouth?
And then?
How did her neck get bitten, too?
Feeling a bit numb and aggrieved, she didn't know what to do.
Victoria suddenly didn't dare to go out.
Did she really kiss him and sleep on his arm all morning?
She felt her neck back and discovered something. She removed it and looked at it.
It was a fever patch.
The touch of a palm on her neck came to mind. It wasn't Adrian. Alexander must have done it.
She sulked as she turned and leaned against the sink, feeling angry and frustrated.
How could she be so spineless?
But when she thought about Isabella answering his phone, she really wanted to kick him out.
But she was afraid that once she saw him, she would forget to kick him out after a few words from him.
She gave in to his overwhelming presence.
She didn't know how much time had passed.
The door opened.
Suddenly, Victoria turned in fright.
"I thought you must have fallen into the toilet. Come out and eat," Alexander said, closing the door again.
Victoria still stared at the door. Why did he open it so forcefully? It was expensive!
Oh, right, that door was replaced after Isabella's people broke it. Everything in the house was replaced. If he cared so much about Isabella, she thought and followed him out, "Mr. Harrington."
Alexander turned with a frown, "What?"
Her little rabbit-like expression was so cute when she was angry.
"Why did you open my door so forcefully? You know everything here was replaced afterward," Victoria said.
"So what?" Alexander frowned.
"Don't you remember Isabella had people smash my house?" Victoria asked.
"And then?" Alexander asked more.
"Why don't you repay me on her behalf since you're so close?" Victoria asked back.
Alexander was so angry his eyes narrowed. He slowly put his hands on his hips and said lightly, "Come here."
"Just transfer the money to my account," Victoria said.
"Come here, and I'll transfer it to you face-to-face," he replied.
"Really?" Victoria's big eyes stared at him. Seeing he already had his phone out, she instinctively took small steps toward him.
Alexander saw her coming over, staring intently at his phone, and couldn't help but stare at her, too.
She was stupid to believe he would give her money just because he took out his phone.
She never used the bags and jewelry he bought her, but did she really care about the small amount of money?
"Victoria!" Alexander called her out.
"What?" Victoria was stunned.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
"Go on. Transfer the money. I'm waiting for you to transfer it to me," Victoria replied.
She was serious until she looked up and met his eyes for two seconds, then realized something wrong.
The place on her neck with the hickey suddenly started to hurt. She looked away awkwardly.
Seeing her trying to leave, Alexander immediately put his arm around her waist. "I haven't transferred it yet."
"I don't want it anymore," Victoria said.
"Don't you want it? I insist on transferring it," Alexander said slowly.
Victoria found Alexander increasingly hard to understand.
She looked at him again, trying to figure out if he was serious.
"Then transfer it," Victoria said.
If he insisted on transferring the money, she had no reason to refuse it.
After all, he was paying on Isabella's behalf.
Isabella had said she would pay her back, but she never did.
Alexander's hand was still on her waist, and he was holding his phone with the other, ready to transfer the money.
Victoria glanced at it and couldn't help but ask, "Why aren't you transferring?"
"I'm afraid you won't dare to accept it," Alexander said.
Victoria felt a pang in her chest.
'Wouldn't I dare to accept it? Why wouldn't I dare?' she thought.
Soon, her phone beeped.
It was a bank notification.
Alright, she really didn't dare to accept it.
After she carefully counted the zeros, her heart almost stopped.
What was he doing?
"The card I linked can only transfer a million dollars a day. You can keep this for now. I'll transfer more another day," Alexander said.
"Alexander," Victoria called out.
"What's the matter?" He was puzzled.
"I feel a bit dizzy," Victoria said.
"What?" Alexander was in a haze.
"I'll transfer it back to you." Her voice needed to be more confident.
After all, he was too generous.
Alexander suddenly laughed and asked her, "Do you feel pressured?"
