Chapter 938 How about I Pursue You Again?
Victoria raised her hand to the side of his face.
Alexander, calming his breath, stood in front of her. After a few seconds, he flashed a mischievous smile, accurately grasped her raised hand, and lowered it. Then he cupped half of her face and firmly sealed her lips with his.
It was as if all the people around them had disappeared.
In that moment, it was just the two of them. His kiss deepened, becoming so intense that it felt as though he might swallow her whole at any moment.
Noon, at a certain restaurant.
Diana placed her phone in front of Victoria, who was already seated. "You and Alexander are quite famous today."
Olivia leaned over to look and laughed, "This time, it's rare for two people to trend without their names being mentioned—a couple passionately kissing in the hospital."
After reading that, Olivia couldn't help but click her tongue and then sat down to Victoria's left.
Diana put her coat away, came back, and sat down on Victoria's right. She asked Victoria, "Since Alexander has made his feelings clear, and you haven't let him go, why don't you two get back together?"
"If a couple doesn't even have trust, getting back together will only lead to another breakup," Victoria said.
She had long lost faith in their marriage.
"It's just that so many things happened before, all at once. I also think you two should just reconcile," Olivia chimed in.
Olivia had always known that Victoria hadn't let go of Alexander. Otherwise, why would Victoria rush back so anxiously when something happened to Alexander?
When Alexander had his accident, the news of him getting into Daisy's car was already all over the internet. But as soon as Victoria got the call, she immediately booked the earliest flight. Victoria was only concerned about his life.
"Trust is something that can be rebuilt. Just tell me, do you still love Alexander or not?" Diana asked, staring seriously at Victoria.
Olivia also looked at Victoria, waiting for an honest answer.
"I don't love him anymore," Victoria said softly but firmly.
Diana's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this.
"I know the things that happened over the years have made you feel uneasy, but you rushed back after the news about him and Daisy. How can we believe you don't love him?" Diana insisted.
"I was terrified when I lost my parents at that age. I don't want Strawberry to lose her father at such a young age. I went to him for Strawberry's sake," Victoria explained.
As the three of them were talking, they heard someone outside call out, "Mr. Harrington."
"What a coincidence," the person added.
"Indeed, I'm here to have lunch with my family," Alexander politely shook hands and explained calmly.
The three women inside exchanged glances, and then Alexander, with his long strides, appeared at the door.
Victoria's heart skipped a beat, but Alexander smiled at her as he walked in and said, "Tori, Mr. Jane and his wife are here to say hello."
Hearing this, Victoria stood up.
After being Alexander's secretary for several years, she was very good at socializing.
She walked up and chatted warmly with the couple for a while. Alexander gently held her slender waist, and after seeing the couple off, he suddenly looked down at her. "What did you just say?"
Victoria was taken aback, not sure what he was referring to.
She only felt the warmth on her waist increasing. She wanted to remind him to let go.
But Alexander's eyes were fixed on her long hair that had grown past her shoulders. He raised his hand to caress it like a treasure and murmured, "How about I pursue you again?"
