Chapter 360 Their Little Thing, Known to the Whole World

The female subordinate quickly ran off. Alexander walked up to Victoria, hands in his pockets, and asked unhappily, "What's her name?"

Victoria turned to him and asked, "What do you want to do?"

"Dismiss her."

Alexander looked at her and walked closer.

"What right do you have to dismiss her?" Victoria questioned, immediately raising her hand to stop him from approaching.

"Isn't it necessary to dismiss someone who sows discord between the boss and the boss lady?" Alexander glanced at her slender fingers, quite satisfied this time because she was wearing their wedding ring. This led him to walk over, hold her hand, and lay it open on his chest.

"Do we need others to sow discord in our relationship?" Victoria tried to pull away but couldn't, so she kept trying to pull away.

Afraid of hurting her, Alexander had to let go.

"The whole world knows." After being released, Victoria glared at him angrily and then left.

In the evening, Victoria rushed to Adrian's apartment. His agent, Ava Montgomery, opened the door and said softly, "No matter how I persuade him, it's useless. He probably hasn't eaten much these days and looks very weak. Go in and try to persuade him."

Victoria agreed and went inside.

Adrian lay on the sofa, holding a blanket without moving, looking very dejected.

But Victoria thought that the pain of losing a father was something one had to slowly overcome on their own; it was hard for others to offer comfort.

"Adrian," Victoria called out to him softly.

Adrian's eyelids twitched. "Victoria, I'm fine."

Victoria felt a tug at her heart. Ava came out of the kitchen with food and drink, gesturing for Victoria to feed him.

Victoria glanced at Ava, then directly served a piece of pastry to his mouth. "If your father knew you were tormenting yourself like this, how could he rest assured?"

Adrian opened his eyes, looked at her with sadness, but still wasn't ready to eat.

"Don't force me to tell you about losing my parents. I was only twenty that year. It happened without any warning," Victoria said, pretending to be cold and serious.

Adrian immediately sat up. "You don't have to say it. I'll eat."

He took the pastry from Victoria and slowly ate it bite by bite.

Victoria quickly brought out something else. She couldn't quite spell out the name of the powder,, but she knew that it was good for the stomach. She placed it in front of him.

Ava stood by, thinking, ‘Is this empathy?’

She had been here all day. He refused to eat or drink, even finding her annoying.

Yet Victoria had just arrived and said only these two sentences.

Of course, these two sentences were indeed very heart-wrenching.

"Adrian, life is like a banquet. There will always be times to part with loved ones. Having received their love, we must continue to live well for them. Don't starve yourself and pull yourself together, okay?"

Victoria couldn't help but say to him as she watched him struggle to eat.

Since she was already sitting in front of him, how could she not sincerely care for her true friend?

Hadn't he encouraged her with such dedication before?

Adrian didn't say anything, tears suddenly streaming down his face.

Even though his father had just passed away, he couldn't cry before this.

But this night, tears kept flowing. Thinking of the pain when she lost her father, Victoria couldn't help but lean in to hug him, letting him rest against her shoulder. When she spoke, her voice was already hoarse, "We must both live well, otherwise how can we repay the love they gave us?"
