Chapter 368 It's All Her Own Doing
"""Or maybe, it's all self-directed performance."" Benjamin said, looking at the two stunned individuals.
Alexander returned to The Harrington Mansion after eleven o'clock, with light rain falling. The butler walked over to him by the car and whispered, ""Welcome back, Young Master.""
""Has the young mistress returned to her room?"" Alexander asked straightaway.
""She came back at ten.""
The butler replied and led him inside. As Alexander strode into the living room with his long legs, the butler did not follow. But he was stopped by Maximus as he passed his parents' room.
""I heard you paid a high price to bring in TI's designer?""
""We can now check the auspicious wedding date at home."" Alexander said.
Arabella and Maximus were both a bit excited to hear this. However, Maximus thought for a moment and reminded him, ""Don't rush it. Your uncle just passed away not long ago.""
""Dad, I don't want to wait."" Alexander quickly added. He was serious and had thought it through.
""If you don't want to wait, then don't. As your parents, we support you. We will talk to your grandparents.""
Arabella unconditionally stood by her son's side. This wedding had been eagerly anticipated by the entire Harrington family for two years. Now that her son had agreed, there was no time to waste.
""Okay."" Alexander agreed, then glanced at them and said, ""I'm going now.""
""Hurry up."" Arabella said, seeing her son eager to find his wife and not wanting to keep him any longer. Alexander naturally left immediately. Maximus couldn't help but ask, ""Are they getting along well recently?""
""I don't know if they're getting along well. But the other day when I went to see him with Mom, Victoria was in his bed,"" Arabella said excitedly.
""And today, they went to the gynecologist,"" she added.
Maximus couldn't help but chuckle. 'How mysterious? Not long ago, he had secretly handed his wife divorce papers.'
Alexander gently pushed open the door and immediately felt a warm temperature rush toward him. The person on the bed seemed to be asleep. He walked quietly, trying not to disturb her as he passed by.
She was really asleep. He sat on the edge of the bed, unable to resist leaning over to look at her, and planting a gentle kiss on her forehead. The sleeping person's eyelashes twitched slightly, but he didn't notice.
Alexander looked down at the woman he had kissed and felt a certain warmth swelling in his heart. The idea of having someone lying in his bed at his home felt really good. Alexander couldn't help but want to wake her up, to talk to her. They were going to have a wedding. He actually wanted to tell her first. But thinking that she would immediately refuse, he could only suppress his excitement.
Yes, he was very excited now. Thinking that soon she would put on a wedding dress and marry him, he was excited. He got up and went to the bathroom, closing the door gently behind him.
The person sleeping on the bed slowly opened her long eyelashes. She had not been asleep. She had been thinking of slipping away when the elders were asleep and finding an excuse tomorrow. However, before the elders could fall asleep, he had come back.
She thought to herself, 'He usually stays out late with friends drinking, so why is he back so early today? And there is no smell of alcohol at all.'
Two minutes later, the bathroom door was gently pushed open.
""Victoria?""
Victoria who was about to sneak away froze at the door. The man stood at the bathroom door and couldn't help but chuckle. He knew she wasn't asleep.
""Where are you going?"" His lazy, deep voice sounded.
""I, I'm a little thirsty,"" Victoria reluctantly turned to look at him and replied.
""Oh, are you going to get some water?"" he asked.
""Yes.""
""Do you need a coat to get water?"" he teased.
She was speechless.
""Are you going back to bed on your own, or do you need help?"" Alexander asked seriously.
""I'll go back on my own.""
Victoria grumbled reluctantly.
""Good girl,"" Alexander said satisfiedly."
