Chapter 415 Swagger
Victoria nestled nervously in his arms, facing his intense gaze. Her voice was low but determined, "Alexander, you need to tone it down a bit."
"What?" Alexander was stunned.
"Don't flirt with your female secretary anymore," Victoria had to remind him clearly.
But she spoke softly, not wanting their words to be overheard by others, leading to speculation about them.
Alexander leaned against her slender shoulder and chuckled. "I enjoy flirting with my female secretary because she seems to be capturing my soul," Alexander said softly.
Alexander and Victoria seemed to be whispering secrets.
People in the kitchen were discreetly peeking out.
Everyone was stunned.
Except for Isabella, who was on the verge of fainting from anger.
Everyone else widened their eyes in shock.
Isabella thought, 'This is Alexander. I had never seen him hold a woman like that before, smiling as if he had found a treasure. How can he act like that?'
She suddenly noticed that everyone around was watching, too. She couldn't help but look at them as if their secretive behavior made it seem like they were looking at something forbidden.
Isabella muttered, "What's so interesting about them?"
Everyone quickly composed themselves.
But Edward couldn't resist recording a video to show Olivia.
He wondered how she would react.
Olivia, being so dignified, insisted on going to the company, keeping herself busy all day long.
During dinner, Benjamin and the others discussed the wedding venue, offering a few suggestions.
Isabella couldn't hear anything. She only saw Alexander helping Victoria with her meal.
She couldn’t believe Alexander was helping Victoria with her meal.
And Victoria was the woman Alexander had once openly stated he didn't like.
"Enough, please," Victoria reminded him in a low voice.
"Alright."
Only then did Alexander set down his utensils and stood up again.
Victoria thought he was leaving, as did everyone else. Isabella couldn't help but ask immediately, "Alexander, where are you going?"
"She can't drink wine during her period, so I'm getting her a glass of water," Alexander explained lightly as he headed to the kitchen.
Silence fell over the dining table, almost to the point where you could hear each other breathe.
Victoria felt her face flush, unsure if it was embarrassment, awkwardness, or something else.
'What is going on with him? Why is he acting so exaggerated in front of his friends? He used to be so serious, wasn’t he?' Victoria thought.
When he returned to the city, he had called her Miss Kensington the first time he saw her and even said, "Please sit."
There seemed to be a galaxy between them at that time.
But now, she stared at the boneless fish in her bowl, not even knowing how to eat it.
Everyone was watching her, and William even said, "Victoria, you better eat it quickly. Otherwise, the fish will get cold."
"Thank you." Victoria smiled and thanked him for the reminder.
Alexander returned with the water, placed it next to her, and asked softly, "Do you have a favorite place? It can be anywhere, domestic or international."
"No." Victoria tried to remain calm.
Isabella felt she was truly hypocritical. Whatever place she mentioned now, Alexander would probably agree, yet she pretended to be indifferent.
Victoria had originally planned to finish her meal and find an excuse to leave, but she inadvertently caught the gaze of the woman opposite her. She immediately selected one of the locations prepared by Benjamin and the others on the table. "Here, I like this place."
"The snowy mountains?" Benjamin was the first to be puzzled.
They had listed this location purely because a subordinate had recommended it.
"Yes," Victoria agreed immediately and withdrew her hand quickly.
Alexander glanced at the album and said, "Then let's go with the snowy mountains."
"But can the elders endure the cold weather?" Benjamin asked again.
The others looked at Alexander, waiting for his final decision.
"Then let's choose another location. We can have two weddings," Alexander suggested, considering the elders' physical condition.
Victoria turned to him, asking in surprise, "Two weddings?"
"Isn't that too ostentatious? The Harrington family always keeps a low profile," Isabella reminded.
