Chapter 372 Why Hold a Wedding
"I really appreciate you," Victoria said angrily before storming out. But as she reached the door, she turned back and said, "Alexander, I won't marry you."
"Alright," Alexander replied.
Victoria was even more upset by his indifferent response, storming out of the office. Janaye, who was typing, immediately looked up when she came out. Victoria's expression was extremely unpleasant!
"Victoria, are you okay?" Janaye asked.
"I'm fine." Victoria tried to calm herself down.
She couldn't let her anger affect others because of what happened with Alexander.
‘But what is he thinking? Why does he suddenly do this? Is it because Isabella is dying?’ Victoria thought.
The more Victoria thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. For the first time in her life, someone wanted to give her a wedding dress, and that person was someone she couldn't let go of.
In the evening, in the most luxurious private room of the high-end club, Olivia couldn't help but smile as she listened to three men chatting, picking up peanuts and eating them.
Edward, Benjamin, and Alexander all glanced at her. Edward inquired, "Why are you laughing to yourself?”
"I'm mocking myself. Mr. Montague, can't you see?" Olivia bantered with him as usual.
Edward smiled, not minding that Olivia thought he was foolish, and asked, "What are you mocking?"
Olivia looked at Alexander and said, "A man who plans to marry a woman hires a designer to create a wedding dress in secret, thinking he's doing us women a huge favor?"
Alexander's expression turned gloomy and displeased as he stared at her. "Everyone knows that even in a relationship, you should still ask the other person's consent, especially for something as significant as marriage," Olivia added.
The three men listened silently, none of them interrupting. Olivia found them quite tactful and continued, "You're already married, but you haven't been together, so you need to show some commitment at this wedding."
"We've spent a lot of money, isn't that showing attitude?" Edward asked her.
“Do you think Victoria is the type of girl who would marry for money?" Olivia asked them bluntly. Victoria was not like that at all. They had always considered Victoria to be naive when it came to matters of the heart. Otherwise, why didn't she go look for Alexander back then?
"What do you think she wants?" Alexander finally spoke. Yes, he wanted to know what Victoria wanted.
Olivia asked directly, "Do you think Victoria would marry for money?" They knew Victoria was not that kind of person. They had always seen her as innocent when it came to matters of the heart. Otherwise, why didn't she try to find Alexander before?
Women might start that way, but gradually, it was not the case.
When the word ‘love’ was mentioned, Edward and Benjamin turned to look at the man sitting inside. His expression grew even darker at that moment.
But Edward couldn't help but ask him, "So do you love Victoria or not?"
"I think you have already said those words," Benjamin also questioned.
"It's too early for us to talk about love," Alexander said after a moment of thought. Olivia looked at him in surprise, "Don't you fall in love with Victoria?"
Alexander remained silent, refusing to explain.
Alexander thought, ‘Haven't I fallen in love? But in my heart, she is already my only companion.’
"Then why are you marrying her?" Olivia asked again.
