Chapter 548 The Man Who Avenged Her Without Saying a Word

At the next day's shoot, a crowd had gathered to watch.

Adrian and Dennis were there, and even Alexander had shown up.

Victoria felt nervous and didn't see Alexander in the director's chair.

Alexander, in a black baseball cap, black dress pants, and a black shirt, had his long, slender hands resting on the clean seat, his sharp eyes fixed on the camera.

The large studio was unusually quiet.

It seemed like a showdown between Victoria and Nicole.

After a slap, Victoria said gently, "Sorry, it's my first time acting."

Nicole smiled, "It's okay. Let's do it again."

"I'll try to get it right this time," Victoria said, then gave Nicole a slightly harder slap.

Nicole's face turned from the slap, and she considered the force appropriate and Victoria's acting impressive.

But the director, Craig Brooks, suddenly said, "Felicity, use a bit more force."

"Is this still not enough, Mr. Brooks? No wonder Ms. Saunders slapped me so many times yesterday. Fight scenes are really hard to act," Victoria said with a smile, but she froze when she looked at Craig.

Craig was crouching in front of the camera, and Alexander was sitting there.

Victoria didn't know why Alexander was there, wearing a baseball cap. Did he want to change careers?

Victoria, assuming she was still at work, swiftly resumed her role. A smug smile appeared on her face when she glimpsed Nicole.

Nicole was already struggling to keep smiling, but she had to.

There were too many people around, and Nicole had slapped Victoria so many times yesterday. If she didn't endure these two slaps today, she would be called petty and accused of bullying a newcomer.

"Shall I go again, Ms. Saunders?" Victoria smiled.

"Okay." Nicole could only nod.

Then, Victoria suddenly turned cold and gave a hard slap.

Because the finger marks on her face hadn't faded, Victoria's makeup today was thicker than usual to maintain her beauty.

Naturally, Nicole had to do the same.

The feeling of her skin not being able to breathe was really annoying.

Victoria usually preferred just a simple foundation application.

With this slap, Nicole couldn't help but clench her back teeth and could no longer fake a smile.

"If you dare to seduce my husband again, you're dead," Victoria said coldly after the slap.

"Cut. Nicole, what are you thinking? You're completely out of character," Craig started to find fault with someone else.

Nicole immediately turned to look at Craig, thinking, 'What's going on? Craig just slept with me last night, and now he's saying I'm out of character in the first scene, huh?'

Craig wasn't sitting in his usual seat, and Alexander, though seated there, still gave her a tall and imposing feeling.

Nicole's heart raced as she thought of Alexander, surely a handsome guy and possibly the lead from another team.

Even Dennis thought it was good enough, but seeing Craig still standing, he raised an eyebrow and let it continue.

Anyway, if Victoria always had Alexander's support, she could slap whoever she wanted, however she wanted.

Craig said again, "Let's do it again. Nicole, find the right state."

Maybe it was because the scene of Nicole slapping Victoria had spread, so many people came to watch today. Nicole could only smile and then look at her assistant.

Nicole's assistant and makeup artist rushed over to attend to her.

Seeing Nicole's stance, Adrian immediately called his assistant to bring Victoria a drink and asked his makeup artist to touch up her makeup.

Victoria glanced at Adrian, who secretly gave her a gesture, and she could only raise an eyebrow in response.

As Victoria turned away, she caught a glimpse of Alexander at the director's controls, watching her through the camera.

Victoria suddenly couldn't smile.

She didn't know why he was there.

But suddenly, she remembered what he had said last night about getting someone to help her get revenge in a few days.

Was everything happening today because of him?

Craig didn't like Victoria before. How could he be calling her so kindly, and his attitude was so good?

After another slap, even Victoria felt her hand hurting.

### Craig's Frustration

Craig stood beside Alexander, looking anxious. "Wait a minute, Nicole, what are you doing? You need to be very arrogant. You're the mistress. You think you're better than the wife in front of you. And Felicity, you're not doing it right either. You need to be filled with hate; she stole your husband, shouldn't you be slapping her back hard? Sarah, show Felicity how it's done, act like the lead actress."

Alexander, however, just coldly stared at the screen, occasionally glancing at his phone.

He remained silent the whole time yet seemed to be in control of everything.

"Yes, Mr. Brooks," Sarah White replied.

Last night, when Sarah went to find Craig, she saw that Nicole had gone first, so Sarah really wanted to slap Nicole.

Sarah said to Nicole, "Ms. Saunders, sorry I have to hit you."

Nicole said, "It's okay."

Nicole looked at Sarah and knew she was a minor character, thinking she wouldn't dare to really hit her.

However, Sarah's slap was so hard that Nicole couldn't bear the pain.

Nicole couldn't stand and fell to the ground, clutching the side of her face that was hit.

Then, Nicole felt something wet and wrong; her head was dizzy, and when she moved her hand in front of her eyes, she saw the red stuff in her palm. After a moment, she realized it was blood, and it was coming from the corner of her mouth.

Victoria was scared.

Alexander's sharp eyes watched the content on the screen, and after half a minute, he stood up.

Craig, half-squatting in front of Alexander, spoke, and when he saw Alexander stand up, he followed suit.

Alexander turned and walked away, and Craig finally breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at the stunned Victoria, some long-forgotten gossip news suddenly flooded his mind.

He thought Victoria seemed to look a lot like someone.

### Lunchtime Drama

At lunchtime, Nicole immediately went to Sarah and knocked over her lunchbox without a word.

Sarah shouted, "Ms. Saunders, what are you doing?"

"You think I don't know your little schemes? Let me tell you, as long as I'm here, don't even think about replacing me," Nicole said while staring at the RV outside.

Victoria and Adrian were eating in the RV.

Adrian asked Victoria, "You know she's actually saying that for someone else to hear, right?"

Victoria smiled. The window of their RV was slightly open, and they could hear everything clearly. Of course, Nicole was saying it for Victoria.

Adrian suddenly said, "Give me your hand."

Victoria was puzzled and didn't give him her hand, holding a fork instead.

Adrian urged, "Hurry up."

"Don't tell me you're going to give me some little surprise. That method of flirting is too old-fashioned, I won't fall for it." Victoria reminded him, just about to continue eating, when Adrian grabbed her wrist.

"I saw your hand hurt from slapping her today, so I brought some hand cream to moisturize it for you," Adrian said, taking out the hand cream he had someone place there earlier, then squeezed some into her palm while holding her hand, continuing, "People usually moisturize the back of their hands, but I'm moisturizing your palm. It's special, right?"

Victoria looked at him, instinctively pulling her hand back and rubbing her hands together, muttering, "We're eating. Why use hand cream?"

Adrian saw her rubbing her hands despite what she said and smiled.

Then, the two of them quietly finished their lunch. After the meal, Adrian asked Victoria, "Did you call Alexander here?"

Victoria was taken aback, then softly said, "Why would I call him?"

Adrian gave a meaningful smile.

Victoria added, "Alexander did say he'd get someone to help me get back at them, but he said it would be later."

"So, you two are back together?" Adrian felt a kind of indescribable heartache, and his eyes were filled with sadness.

"Am I crazy? Let's not talk about him. I need to find Dennis to discuss something."

Victoria noticed Dennis seemed quite busy these past two days, probably hiding something from her.

Adrian fell silent.

As Victoria reached the door, she suddenly turned back. "Don't always think about abandoning Mrs. Montgomery. If it weren't for her, would your career be this good?"

Victoria said and then got out of the RV.

The midday sun was a bit intense. As soon as Victoria got out of the RV, she stood there, unable to move. Not far away, a black luxury car was parked, waiting for her.
