Chapter318 A Serious First Time
Trapped against the cold, metallic wall of the elevator, Victoria's lithe body quivered. The confined space of the elevator was charged with an emotional current, a storm brewing in the silence.
Alexander towered over her, his body a barricade, his anger simmering beneath the surface. "I won't make it public," he assured her, his smile a stark contrast to the tension in the air.
Victoria's heart pounded like a drum in her chest, his ambiguous actions causing it to beat even faster. He was unusually considerate tonight, a fact that did not escape her notice.
"Thank you," she managed to choke out after a struggle, the words heavy in the air.
"Victoria," Alexander murmured, his hand gently caressing her face. His blue eyes studied her, lingering on her eyebrows, eyes, and lips.
"What's wrong?" she asked, her eyes instinctively meeting his intense gaze.
In the next heartbeat, he was upon her, his lips capturing hers in a swift, fierce kiss. Victoria found herself frozen against the elevator wall, unable to react.
She had believed his words to be the end of their marriage - no more ambiguity, no more stolen kisses, no more shared intimacy. Yet, in mere seconds, he had shattered her assumptions. He kissed her with a hunger that suggested he wished to consume her, only stopping when the elevator bell chimed, the doors slowly opening.
It was then that Victoria's heart began to steady, the chaos within her subsiding.
Alexander stopped kissing her but stared at her. He decided that he wouldn't let her go tonight.
Victoria quickly composed herself, her gaze meeting his. Her lips were stained with the remnants of her lipstick. She reached up, wiping the color off his lips, and whispered, "Promise me that you won't make our relationship public in front of the media tonight."
"Alright, I promise," Alexander vowed, his tone serious. He reached up, wiping the smudged lipstick off her lips, a memento of their passionate exchange.
On such a significant day, being caught in a passionate embrace before the party would undoubtedly lead to unwanted speculation.
However, the moment Alexander's fingers brushed her lips, he found himself unable to resist. He cupped her face, pulling her into another passionate kiss.
Victoria was left reeling, her mind a whirlwind of confusion. 'What was going on? Why was he incessantly kissing her?'
The murmur of voices outside the elevator reached her ears. Reporters were already stationed at the elevator entrance on the top floor, their camera flashes illuminating the couple.
Victoria's heart had barely calmed when it began to race again. The voices, the flashes, and his unyielding kiss - it was all too much. Her mind seemed to freeze, her heart pounding in her chest.
Alexander held her slim waist, guiding her away from the corner. His kisses deepened, becoming more audible.
Even with her eyes closed, Victoria could sense the bright lights outside and the presence of numerous people. Her panic escalated, but she was powerless against his hold.
She had no concept of how much time had passed.
Eventually, Alexander pulled away, his thumb gently wiping the corner of her lips.
Victoria attempted to push him away, but he held her wrist firmly. His voice was seductive, laced with ambiguity, a whisper meant only for her ears. "I only promised not to reveal your identity, but I didn't promise not to kiss you."
Victoria's anger flared at his words, but before she could resist, he pulled her into a full embrace.
Alexander deliberately lowered his posture, making it appear as though they were locked in an intimate embrace. Her chin rested on his shoulder, their image captured by the waiting cameras.
"Relax. Be happy. Otherwise, it will be ugly in the photos," Alexander whispered, his hand gently stroking her back.
Victoria barely heard his words, a chill running down her spine. She turned slightly to look at him, confusion evident in her voice. "What are you referring to?"
"What did you say? Do you want to sleep with me? This matter cannot be rushed," he replied, a teasing lilt to his voice.
Victoria stood there, stunned into silence.
"After the party, I will give myself to you as a gift," Alexander declared, his gaze unwavering.
"This doesn't sound funny at all." Victoria's voice was barely a whisper, her breath hitching in her throat.
"Of course, this kind of thing is not funny at all. The first time should be serious." Alexander said.
