Chapter 525 Became an Advertising Star

Alexander couldn't identify the origin of the animosity, but it continued to intensify, reaching a point where he could no longer conceal it.

Then that day, he even took off his ring.

In August, during the peak of summer heat, a skincare commercial went viral.

At dusk, in the living room of the Harrington Family's Old Mansion.

"Is that really not Victoria?" Eloise's voice trembled.

"Oh my God," Arabella shouted, seeing it too.

They were watching the news with Brett when the commercial interrupted.

Brett was sipping tea, but their reactions made him turn to the TV.

He stared at the girl on TV, applying skincare water to her face. Brett held his breath, frozen.

"Victoria is still alive?" Eloise's voice shook.

"Oh,. Which ad company made this? I'll call and find out," Arabella said, shocked.

Still in shock, Arabella knew she had to find out about that girl.

The TV said her name was Felicity.

But how could she be Felicity? That was clearly Victoria.

Eloise grabbed Brett's arm excitedly. "It must be Victoria. She's still alive."

Brett said softly, "If it really is, that would be wonderful."

They had accepted Victoria was gone.

They comforted themselves, thinking she had gone to find her parents.

Their trio reuniting in heaven wasn't all that bad.

Victoria hadn't smiled genuinely in a long time. Maybe she'd smile in heaven with her parents.

The girl on TV smiled so radiantly and innocently.

With her golden hair, perfect skin, and mesmerizing eyes.

Arabella quickly found out the company and called Alexander, but he didn't answer.

Arabella returned, muttering, "Why isn't Alexander answering at such an important time?"

"He's not answering? Ever since he canceled Victoria's identity, he's been acting strange. How long has it been since he came back?" Eloise fumed.

Brett remarked, "We all know now, maybe he knows too. We can go to his office tomorrow and ask."

Arabella agreed. "Okay."

At that moment, Alexander was at the best sea-view spot in the Frosty Summit Hotel, sitting across from a girl in a pink dress.

The girl asked tentatively, "Will you marry me?"

Alexander looked at her for a few seconds and suddenly replied, "I will."

Tessa's heart raced, looking at him in disbelief.

Alexander added, "How about tomorrow?"

Tessa was stunned. "What?"

"Let's get the marriage certificate tomorrow. If you have no objections, I want more people to know about this."

"What do you mean?"

"Marriage can't just be known by the two of us, right?"

Tessa replied nervously, "Okay."

Tessa, the twenty-four-year-old heiress of the Hughes Family, actually wanted to get married.

Some girls liked to marry early, and there were benefits to it.

Tessa hesitated. "Mr. Harrington, actually..."

Alexander said indifferently, "I'll give you half an hour to think about it."

"I'll go to the restroom."

Tessa, scared, grabbed her phone and hurried to the restroom.

Alexander poured himself a glass of wine and stayed put.

He had all night. It was going to be a long one.

He gazed out at the sea, watching something golden and shimmering on the water.

A slender figure appeared in the glass, wearing a white dress and high heels, walking away.

He wanted to turn around but just kept staring at the screen.

"Anyway, Alexander is way more handsome than you. I'm marrying him and having two kids," Tessa said, then heard the door open. She looked up and nodded at the person who entered, covering her phone.

The person nodded back apologetically and went inside.

Tessa thought the girl was beautiful, like someone from TV. She turned to look but couldn't see her anymore. Remembering the call, she continued, "Go to hell, you coward. I'm getting the marriage certificate with Alexander tomorrow."

When Tessa returned to the restaurant and saw Alexander still there, she felt pressured but walked over.

Alexander asked, "Did you call Benjamin?"

Tessa was surprised. "How did you know?"

"What did he say?"

"It doesn't matter. Let's get the marriage certificate tomorrow," Tessa muttered, like she was giving in.

Alexander looked at her and smiled faintly. "Okay."

Tessa couldn't help but ask, "Have you forgotten your ex-wife?"

"What?"

"I just met a woman in the restroom who looked like your ex-wife," Tessa said.

Alexander's expression turned cold, but he just touched his wine glass and said, "There are too many look-alikes in this world, and besides..."

"What?"

"She is my late wife, not my ex-wife," Alexander said seriously.

Tessa was puzzled, thinking, 'What's the difference? Neither of them is his wife anymore.'

Tessa always felt Alexander was strange, and being with him scared her a bit.

She thought, 'Wouldn't his wives all end up miserable? Some friends said Alexander is cursed. How else could his wife die so young?'

Alexander heard the sound of high heels approaching and said, "Tomorrow I'll pick you up from the Hughes Family. Be ready with your ID."

Tessa agreed. "Okay."

"But be prepared. After marrying me, you need to give the Harrington family two children immediately."

"Why?"

"Because according to the plan, I was supposed to become a father this year."

Tessa wanted to cry but didn't dare.

Not far behind Alexander, a woman sat down, wearing a short skirt and high heels.

Alexander caught a glimpse of her and heard a gentle, serious voice. "When we get back tomorrow, I plan to take a break for a while."

"Do you remember you have to join the crew in a month?"

"Sure."

That night, Alexander returned to South City and stayed in his office.

It felt like a lifetime since he last heard that gentle voice.

Everything that happened between them here was still vivid, but now...

Alexander's deep eyes looked at the night view, his expression growing colder.

In the large office, it felt like a thick layer of frost, unmelted even in the scorching summer.
