Chapter 960 The Man in the Heavy Rain

During the day, Victoria took Strawberry shopping for new clothes, for herself, for Strawberry, for everyone.

She stood in front of the men's clothing counter, thinking about how he never brought many clothes when he came, and that blue shirt had already been taken by him.

When Alexander comes next week, he will have clean new clothes to change into. That was nice.

Victoria suddenly didn't see any reason to worry about it. At worst, she could just say it was for convenience.

Otherwise, he'd always be naked in front of her, and she'd be the one feeling awkward.

So she even bought two more sets of pajamas.

Eve and Frank were waiting for Victoria at the counter. Eve quietly asked Frank, "Is Mrs. Harrington picking out pajamas for Mr. Harrington?"

"What else?"

Frank glanced at Eve, thought for a moment, then leaned in close to her ear, "When will you buy me something like this?"

"When you start handing over your paycheck to me," Eve asked.

"Give me your phone," Frank instructed.

"What are you going to do?" Eve was puzzled.

"Just give it to me." Frank insisted.

Eve watched curiously as he operated her phone. Frank knew some of her passwords, quickly linked his card, and then handed it back to her. "Now, can you buy it?"

Eve's face warmed, but she agreed to buy the pajamas.

Frank focused on taking care of Strawberry, who occasionally looked at the two of them, then watched Eve go find Victoria.

Frank was a bit excited to see what kind of pajamas Eve would buy for him. Seeing that Strawberry didn't want to sit anymore, he picked her up.

After they finished buying clothes, they passed by a flower shop and bought fresh flowers. Eve and Victoria picked out the flowers they liked and bought several bouquets.

What a happy day! Before dinner, the doorbell suddenly rang, and Victoria's heart inexplicably skipped a beat. Olivia's words about Alexander coming flashed through her mind.

Everyone looked towards the door and suggested that Victoria open it.

Victoria felt a bit inexplicably excited, gave an awkward smile, and whispered, "Alright, I'll go."

In the dining room, everyone quietly dispersed to find the gifts they had prepared. Eve even brought out the cake she had made earlier from the fridge. Desiree peeked out from the dining room door and whispered, "Mrs. Harrington is going to open the door. Hurry! Is everyone's gift ready?"

"Yes."

"Turn off the lights."

Victoria only felt the lights in the house go dark and instinctively turned to look inside.

'What's going on?' She thought.

She guessed that everyone had prepared a birthday surprise for her.

Because no one had forgotten her birthday, she felt even happier.

So, was it really Alexander outside the door?

Did Alexander really come over so quickly to celebrate her birthday?

They had agreed to meet on the weekend.

It felt so good to be thought of.

She figured that was why no one from the Harrington Mansion had sent her any messages; they must have been instructed by Alexander.

Inside, Desiree whispered, "Why hasn't Mrs. Harrington opened the door yet?"

"Could it be that she doesn't plan to forgive Mr. Harrington?"

"Strange, doesn't Mr. Harrington know the code?"

"This is to create a surprise, don't you get it?"

A few people whispered and looked towards the door.

The doorbell rang again.

"Victoria?" And the male voice was urgent and familiar.

A sudden gust of wind blew outside. Victoria felt something was off and worried he might catch a cold, so she immediately opened the door.

A couple stood outside, "Why did you take so long to open the door?"

"I..."

"The power suddenly went out in the house, and I thought something happened to you."

It was raining outside, and heavily. Victoria stood there, momentarily forgetting to move.

Raindrops were blown onto her by the wind. Victoria adjusted her emotions, smiled, and turned around.

"Victoria."
