Chapter 1005 Being Scolded

Diana clutched Victoria's hand, both of them holding on a bit too tightly.

The waiting felt like it was taking forever.

Diana was almost afraid to breathe, and Victoria's heart was pounding so hard she could barely catch her breath.

When the doctor finally came out with the results, he sighed and asked, "Did you two think you were pregnant just because you felt nauseous? How old are you two?"

Victoria was processing, but Diana couldn't help but laugh, trying to lighten the mood. "So, neither of us is pregnant?"

"Of course not. Look at how many pregnant women are waiting behind you."

Diana glanced back and saw six pregnant women in line.

Feeling the doctor's annoyance, Diana quickly followed his instructions to dispose of the two cups of urine.

But that meant she couldn't hold Victoria's hand anymore.

Victoria stood there, not moving, unaware that someone was taking her picture.

"Hey, don't take pictures. That's not cool."

The doctor, though seemingly grumpy, was respectful towards people with disabilities.

It was only then that Victoria realized she was being photographed and instinctively lowered her head.

No one spoke, but everyone could tell she was blind, so they just took pictures without saying anything.

After the doctor spoke, they stopped taking pictures, but no one deleted them.

So, before the day was over, rumors spread that a female celebrity had gone for a pregnancy test, only for it to turn out to be a false alarm.

No one remembered Mrs. Harrington, but some recalled she had acted in a show as Felicity.

In the evening, at Serenade Villa, the warm living room was silent.

Alexander stood behind the couch, looking at Diana, who stood there with her head down, knowing she had messed up and feeling aggrieved.

He then glanced at Victoria, who sat on the couch without saying a word, and finally asked, "Why was she vomiting?"

"We went on a pirate ship ride."

Diana mumbled softly, refusing to back down.

"A pirate ship? Do you not know her health condition? Are you out of your mind?"

Alexander couldn't help but scold her.

Diana didn't dare to look up but mumbled, "Alecander, don't be so harsh. I just wanted Victoria to experience it."

"Experience what? Back pain, leg pain, or the fear of thinking she was pregnant?"

Diana rarely got scolded by Alexander, so she felt extremely wronged.

But realizing her poor judgment, she didn't say anything more.

Victoria held onto the couch armrest, trying several times before finally standing up.

She silently raised her hand, trying to find Diana, and walked in the direction she thought Diana was.

Alexander watched, worried she might bump into the coffee table, and quickly stepped forward.

Diana saw it too, but Alexander was faster.

When Victoria was supported, she quickly realized it was Alexander.

For the first time, she didn't resist and instead held onto his arm tightly, shaking her head.

Alexander immediately understood she didn't want him to scold Diana anymore, but he couldn't help but say, "I'm glad you and Diana are close, but what she did today was thoughtless and deserved to be called out."

Victoria kept shaking her head, and Alexander finally turned to Diana. "Think twice before you act next time."

"Okay."

Diana quickly nodded, then glanced gratefully at Victoria.

Victoria treated her so well, even better than she treated Alexander, which Diana appreciated.

"You can head back."

Alexander relented.

Diana looked up and said, "Alexander, I'm staying here tonight."

Alexander looked at Diana.

Staying here?

It wasn't impossible, but it meant their alone time would be delayed.

Alexander looked at Victoria, still holding onto him, and couldn't help but smile.

He raised his other hand, wanting to hold hers, but fearing she might resist, he put it down, thinking this way she would hold onto him a bit longer.

He felt pathetic, wanting her to pin him down on the bed or even the couch.

"Mr. Harrington, Mrs. Harrington, Ms. Harrington, dinner is ready."

A housekeeper called from the dining room.

"Alright, Victoria, let's go eat. I'll help you."

Victoria nodded, relieved the two hadn't fought.

When Diana took her hand, she realized she had been holding Alexander's hand the whole time and quickly let go, blushing slightly.

Alexander watched as she let go of his arm, feeling a bit frustrated, and covered the spot she had held, hoping to keep her warmth a bit longer.

Diana turned and saw Alexander's expression, thinking he was being overly dramatic.

They were always cuddling; what difference did a few minutes make?

"Bring a thin cushion."

Alexander instructed as he entered the dining room.

"Yes, sir."

The housekeeper knew what he meant and quickly fetched one.

In this house, everyone knew Victoria's condition better than she did.

Victoria's body often felt like it was being torn apart, but she was always damp, so how could it be tearing?

Today, it hurt a lot, but the pregnancy scare had distracted her.

Now, with Alexander pampering her, the pain felt even worse.

She had no appetite, but Alexander kept putting fish in her bowl, reminding her, "If you don't finish it, I'll feed you."

Diana couldn't help but cough.

Alexander didn't care, just watching Victoria eat the fish with a spoon.

Victoria didn't want to be fed. Those days when he fed her were so awkward.

They weren't that close, so why did he always do such intimate things?

After dinner, Diana played some music and started dancing around the living room.

Victoria stood by the couch, listening, feeling restless.

She didn't like loud music, probably because of her past.

Diana saw her and immediately suggested, "Victoria, want to join me?"

Victoria didn't say anything, but the music stopped.

Diana seemed to remember her past and felt guilty, walking over, "Sorry, I forgot."

Victoria smiled to show it was okay.

Alexander suddenly said, "Go upstairs to the activity room."

"Okay."

Diana knew there was a room upstairs for activities, so she greeted them and left.

Alexander guided Victoria to the couch. "You never liked loud music."

Victoria heard him but wondered, he always talked about the past, did they have a past?

She was always on the edge of trusting his words.

"You like this kind of music."
