Chapter 520 To Love Someone Was to Completely Trust

"A few hours had passed, and Victoria already missed Alexander like crazy.

""Is it still raining in the city?"" Alexander asked.

""It stopped. How about there?"" Victoria replied.

""It's still going,"" Alexander said, turning the camera to show her the rain outside. ""See?""

""Yeah, I see it,"" Victoria said, not really caring about the rain. She couldn't help but smile quietly.

She thought, 'Maybe Alexander's worried I'll think he's lying. How could I? When a woman loves a man, she believes him completely. I'd believe anything he says, almost blindly.'

Victoria lay on their bed, looking at Alexander. She didn't care about the rain; she just wanted to see him.

""Will you come back right after the rain stops?"" Victoria asked.

She was waiting for him, feeling a bit impatient, wanting to see him right away.

She wanted to jump into his arms, hug him, and kiss him.

She missed him so much.

Probably because he said he couldn't lie to her, and Isabella was also on the boat.

""I will. I have to work tomorrow. I'll go straight to the office,"" Alexander said, giving her the answer she wanted.

Victoria blushed and glanced at him again, then quickly looked down.

She always felt like he could see right through her, even through the screen.

""Victoria,"" Alexander called.

""What's up?"" she asked.

""Someone misses you.""

""Who?"" Victoria asked, feeling a bit foolish. Her mind went blank when he said ""miss.""

Alexander smiled. ""Me.""

He thought he must have gotten used to sleeping in the same bed with her.

Her heart fluttered.

Alexander finally stopped referring to himself in the third person and used ""me.""

Before, he always said, ""He also hopes you..."" She knew he meant himself, but it felt different.

This ""me"" felt like a confirmation from him to her.

Victoria got excited, looking forward to their wedding vows and hearing those three words.

After hanging up the video call, Victoria turned over, trying to sleep, but all she could see were Alexander's eyes.

She tossed and turned.

Finally, unable to sleep, she got up and walked to the window, looking at the night sky.

She stretched her neck to see clearly; it seemed like a star.

She thought, 'Is the sky clearing up? It must be.'

Victoria still felt uneasy but forced herself to think positively.

They had been married for a long time, and now they were just having a wedding ceremony.

, Mark drove Victoria away from The Harrington Mansion in the next morning.

After Arabella got up, she asked, ""Victoria left early, saying she had something to do. Can you guess what it is?""

Maximus, putting on his watch, asked, ""Why didn't you ask her then?""

Arabella, helping him with his watch, said, ""I was afraid she'd think I was being nosy.""

Victoria went to the cemetery.

She wanted to visit her parents before going to work.

She dreamed about them last night.

Besides, she was getting married. It was a real wedding.

The sun had just risen. Victoria bought daisies that her mom liked and stood in front of her parents' graves.

""Mom, Dad, I'm here to see you,"" Victoria said softly.

Looking at their photos, she started crying before she could even talk.

She lowered her head, not daring to look at them, then sat by their tombstone, wiped her tears, and gently said, ""Alexander said he would give me a grand wedding. He loves me too, right?""

Actually, she never felt confident about Alexander's love.

She needed someone to confirm that Alexander truly loved her.

Her parents' photos were smiling, and she took that as a sign.

""You'll bless us, right? We'll be as loving as you were and have a cute baby, maybe even more,"" she said, her hoarse voice full of tenderness and hope.

Her parents' smiles seemed to confirm, bless, and expect, just like her.

But they couldn't talk to her anymore.

Victoria timed it perfectly and arrived at the office building before work started.

She hadn't received any messages or calls from Alexander, but she felt they would meet.

As she walked up the steps, she suddenly heard a horn.

Cars usually didn't honk in front of the office building, so she turned around.

A blue sports car was parked in front of her.

The man inside took off his sunglasses and waved.

Victoria saw him clearly and instantly smiled, tears streaming down her face. She turned and ran down the steps.

Alexander got out of the car and walked towards her. She ran to him and threw her arms around his neck.

She held him tightly, knowing they would meet.

Her prediction was spot on.

She felt a bit more confident again.

But she missed him so much that she couldn't help but cry.

""I told you I'd come back after the rain stopped,"" Alexander said gently.

Victoria smiled. ""Yes, you kept your word.""

She clung to Alexander. As she hugged him, he held her waist tightly and lifted her up.

Their foreheads touched, and Alexander slowly let her feet touch the ground.

Victoria wanted to kiss him. But this was his office building, and it was work hours, with many colleagues around.

Still, she wanted to kiss him.

She didn't have the courage to look at him, only seeing his thin lips.

She stood on tiptoe and kissed him.

Feeling his warmth again, she couldn't help but deepen the kiss.

Alexander was stunned, holding her tighter. When she was about to pull away, he turned passive into active, continuing the kiss.

""Did you miss me?"" Alexander asked softly, then kissed her again.

""Sure,"" Victoria answered, and he responded with a more passionate kiss.

People arriving for work started to come in.

The cool sunlight shone on their faces, making everything look so beautiful and romantic.

Everyone couldn't help but look.

Though they eventually hurried to clock in.

Alexander kept kissing her, wanting to merge her into his body.

Both of them breathing heavily, he asked, ""Did you sleep well last night?""

Victoria lowered her eyes and shook her head. She missed him so much that she only fell asleep at dawn.

Alexander kissed her forehead lightly, then lifted her chin and kiss her pink lips again.

She was just that kissable.

Victoria was already a bit overwhelmed, but she didn't want to say no.

She just held onto his neck, letting him press her against him, then lifted her up.

Her feet left the ground again, and she was suddenly scared, opening her eyes.

Her charming eyes were immediately captured by his, and she couldn't think or do anything, just wanted to cooperate with him.

Alexander put her down in a very low place.

Victoria turned around in confusion and saw she was in the car. She couldn't help but ask, ""When did you start changing styles?""

Alexander said, ""I don't know if you'll like it, but this is the first car I give you, so you have to accept it.""

""For me?"" Victoria couldn't help but look around the car, then looked up at him. ""I like it very much."""
