Chapter 994 Need to Thank

She didn't know what was happening. She felt something on her wrist but couldn't identify it, and her eyes showed signs of nervousness.

"Don't be afraid, I have one too."

She suddenly heard Alexander's voice and abruptly held her breath.

She felt her hand being taken and placed on his warm wrist, which also had the same thing tied around it.

It didn't feel like a rope or clothing. What was this strange thing?

She couldn't guess.

It was just a scarf she usually used.

Alexander lay on his side, looking at her anxious yet restrained expression, and continued, "I'm afraid you'll run away."

Did he know she tried to escape last night?

Didn't he think she just wanted to go to the bathroom?

Victoria didn't know what to do. Later, her hand was released, and he said, "I won't tie you up during the day, only at night when we sleep."

Victoria felt awkward but still didn't make a sound.

Then suddenly, she felt a warmth near her ear and heard him say,

"You talked in your sleep last night."

"Honey, you haven't lost the ability to speak."

Victoria felt even more scared but tried hard not to show it.

Although all her efforts were not visible on her face.

Later, Alexander took her to wash up and change clothes. She heard him muttering, "Blue or white? Hmm, you like white."

Alexander took a long sweater dress for her and put it on her.

Actually, all her clothes from the entire wardrobe had been packed and sent over, but he couldn't help himself and quickly ordered more to be delivered.

How could he let the house be without her dazzling array of clothes?

This house couldn't be called a home without her things.

That day, shortly after Alexander went to work, other people came to the house.

"Mrs. Harrington."

She sat on the sofa and felt a girl squatting in front of her. Although restrained, the voice had a hint of sobbing.

Victoria thought, another Mrs. Harrington? Do I look like that woman?

"Mrs. Harrington, it's my fault for not protecting you. I'm sorry."

Eve squatted beside her and finally managed to say sorry.

Tears fell on the back of Victoria's hand. She was stunned for a moment, and after confirming they were tears, she instinctively raised her hand to touch the woman.

Eve, being touched on the face, couldn't help but cry even more, "Mrs. Harrington."

Victoria felt the tears on her face and wanted to find a tissue for herself, but couldn't see.

Frank, watching from the side, reminded, "Stop crying."

Eve wiped her tears and then looked at Victoria with teary eyes, "Mrs. Harrington."

She almost blurted out, "Can you not see me?" but held it back. The hospital had already given the results, and now her eyes looked so blank.

When Eve arrived, several servants also came to greet her. Eve said she was fine but couldn't help feeling guilty looking at Victoria, "I just caused Mrs. Harrington to end up like this."

"Although Mrs. Harrington is pitiful, Ms. Wood, don't blame yourself too much."

Jenny comforted her.

Eve knew that the people who captured Victoria were very powerful, and the mastermind had hired such people capable of capturing Victoria.

But she was her bodyguard, causing her to suffer so much and even lose her sight. How could she bear it?

Although losing her child was painful.

Eve had been training all this time, determined that such a thing would never happen again as a bodyguard.

Alexander asked Diana and Olivia to take Victoria out for coffee, but not to crowded places.

Diana thought, then let's book the whole place.

Daisy and her friend arrived near the coffee shop and found it unusually empty.

That coffee shop was very famous, so it shouldn't be like this.

Her friend whispered in her ear, "You're pregnant, can you drink coffee? They say pregnant women shouldn't drink coffee."

"What's the big deal? I don't even want this baby."

Daisy said as she walked inside.

They were soon stopped, and the girl asked, "Sir, what's going on inside? Are there actors filming?"

No one answered them, but Daisy quickly saw Eve standing at the door and immediately knew it must be Victoria.

She had heard that Alexander had brought a blind woman out of a very dirty place. It was Victoria.

So Victoria was blind?

Daisy felt a bit pleased and immediately said, "We are friends of Mrs. Harrington. Let us in."

"Ms. Bryant, whose friend are you?"

Tessa and Emily arrived just in time to hear this and found it amusing, directly asking back.

"It's you two again. Let's go."

Daisy knew she wasn't their match and pulled her friend away.

"Do you think you can come and go as you please? What happened to your face? It's so ugly."

Tessa deliberately pointed at her face and said.

Daisy immediately covered half of her face. She had applied thick makeup; it shouldn't be visible.

She suspected she was already very ugly and turned to run away.

Her friend, seeing her run, naturally followed.

Tessa couldn't help but sigh after she left, "Honestly, it's a pity that a good girl doesn't cherish herself."

"Why waste your sympathy?"

Emily said, pulling her along.

Daisy went to another coffee shop and carefully examined herself in the bathroom mirror, confirming no scars were visible. But thinking of Tessa's words, she applied another thick layer of makeup.

This coffee shop wasn't far from the popular one. They could still see the row of bodyguards standing in front of the other shop.

The staff here said the other place was booked.

"Dais, do you still hate that Victoria?"

"I stayed in there for so long, and after she was found, she didn't even say thank you. How much do you think I hate her?"

Daisy retorted.

"That was indeed rude of her. By the way, the bag you promised me last time."

"I left in a hurry today and forgot to bring it. Come with me to get it later."

Daisy didn't care about a bag; she needed someone to talk to.

Her friend was happy to accompany her for coffee, saying things she liked to hear, "That Victoria didn't even know how to say thank you. So rude. We should stop her later and ask why she didn't thank you."

"That's exactly what I mean."

Daisy smiled.

"But she has so many bodyguards. How can we get close to her?"

The girl asked.

Daisy leaned in and whispered, "Let me think."
