Chapter 562 New Home

Not long after, the car stopped at a seaside villa in the southern part of the city.

Victoria looked at Alexander puzzled, "What is this place?"

"Our new home," Alexander said as he unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car.

'New home?' Feeling confused, Victoria couldn't help but look around outside again. She then heard her car door open, snapping her back to reality. She grabbed her seatbelt and asked him, "I'm not going in. How about you let me drive the car back to the film set?"

"It's just the two of us here now." Alexander smiled, leaning against the car door and getting closer to her.

Victoria suddenly felt a bit uneasy, sensing a hint of coercion.

Alexander added, "Actually, since it's our first time visiting our new home, I'd be happy to carry you inside."

That would be a surprise.

Hearing his suggestion, Victoria got out of the car on her own.

But as she stood by the car door, she couldn't help but mutter, "Can't I just go back?"

Alexander just smiled at her.

Realizing that his smile represented coercion, Victoria lowered her head and obediently walked inside.

Alexander closed the car door and followed her closely.

The further Victoria walked, the more uncertain she felt.

She thought, 'How did I end up in such an unfamiliar place? When did he buy this house? Why did he bring me here?'

Victoria asked, "This isn't a house you bought for Tessa, is it?"

"If you like acting, I can play along," Alexander said, hands on his hips, trying to speak to her calmly.

Victoria felt even more confused and continued to walk with her head down.

She actually felt like she was the one being wronged.

This was a six-story villa.

As soon as she walked in, it felt like a castle from a fairy tale.

Alexander said calmly, "There are two bedroom for the elders on the first floor, the rest are vacant. The second floor is our room, and you can decide what to do with the rest later. The fourth floor is for guests, and the fifth and sixth floors are for leisure and entertainment."

"What about the third floor?" Victoria noticed that he hadn't mentioned the third floor.

He glanced at her and then said indifferently, "I'll tell you later."

"Okay," Victoria agreed and continued to walk inside.

The place was so big that it felt empty.

The great thing was that the air was good because of the emptiness.

Victoria actually liked this feeling, thinking that living here would be very happy.

Of course, that didn't mean she wanted to live here.

She felt she wasn't lucky enough to enjoy such conditions.

She just didn't want him anymore, even if she still had feelings for him and could still be swayed by him, and even if nothing had happened between him and Isabella.

However, matters of the feeling were too exhausting, and it might even cost her life.

Being timid and having so many things to do, Victoria didn't want to be with him anymore.

"Victoria," Alexander suddenly called her name.

Victoria snapped back to reality and took a step back.

Alexander smiled and then slowly approached her, holding her hand. "From now on, no other woman will come in here without your permission."

"No, you don't have to do that. This place is great, really great, but it's just not suitable for me." Victoria smiled at him awkwardly yet politely.

Alexander's expression turned a bit serious, and he said, "Say that again."

Victoria was speechless.

Alexander said softly, "Don't be afraid. I just didn't hear you clearly."

Victoria's heart started to race. However, her heartbeat soon slowed down, becoming heavier and heavier.

Seeing her lower her eyes and remain silent, Alexander asked again, "Not going to say it?"

She lowered her head even more.

"Fine, then from now on, don't speak at all," Alexander said softly, then immediately lifted her hand.

Victoria felt like it wasn't just her arm that was lifted, but her heart as well.

She was off the ground again, being easily carried by him.

"Let's go see our master bedroom."

"Alexander..."

"Shh," Alexander said in a deep voice.

Victoria felt a sense of crisis, as if she had missed the best opportunity to speak.

But in such a big villa, it was just the two of them. Would it help if she screamed for help now?

"There's an elevator over there. You can use it when you're tired," Alexander said to her as he carried her upstairs.

Victoria kept her mouth shut, not daring to make a sound, afraid of angering him.

Because although he was introducing the house's facilities, his expression was overly serious.

Victoria thought, 'Why is he carrying me up the stairs since there is an elevator? Doesn't he realize how intimate this is?'

This position, moving around. In this position, she could only cling to his shoulders, afraid her butt would touch his legs.

But she realized he was really strong, always able to easily lift a woman.

Alexander stopped to look at her, smiled, and said in a deep voice, "It would be great if you were always so obedient."

When Victoria heard him speak so gently, she would get the illusion that he was a good person.

She quickly stopped thinking about anything until they reached the upstairs.

Alexander took her into the bedroom.

This bedroom was much larger than the one at Regal Retreat.

And the sea was right outside the window, visible from the bed.

Alexander placed her on the bed, then squatted in front of her, "From now on, we'll live here. It's not far from the Harrington Group office building and your film set."

Victoria was about to speak, "I..."

Alexander interrupted her, "Don't say no."

She hadn't even finished her sentence before being cut off.

Victoria immediately shut her mouth but turned her head to look elsewhere, still refusing.

Then she suddenly noticed something on the wall by the door.

She felt her heart race again. She couldn't help but stand up and slowly walk over.

It was a huge photo of Alexander and herself.

Victoria's vision blurred, unable to believe what she was seeing.

"I had it put up not long ago,"  Alexander said.

He followed her, looking at the huge photo with her, reminding her.

Victoria couldn't help but choke up.

It was their wedding photo. The one they took together before.

Victoria still remembered that day, she was so happy she felt like a fool.

She remembered when they took that photo, she was a bit shy, teased as if it was their wedding night.

"Shall we have a wedding?" he suggested, his hand holding her shoulder.

Victoria immediately moved to the side, looking at him more seriously and calmly than ever before.

She stared at him, as if she suddenly understood everything.

She tried to smile, but her throat felt hoarse for some reason. After a pause, she spoke gently and patiently, "Even though you didn't sleep with Isabella, I won't marry you."

"Then why?" Alexander asked seriously, moving closer.

Victoria stepped back but remained calm. "I don't want to be in a relationship anymore."

"Why?" Alexander frowned.

"It's exhausting, really exhausting." Victoria smiled, though her eyes were full of fatigue.
