Chapter 808 Anytime

After Victoria finished speaking, she glanced at Eve and saw that Eve was already stunned. She stood up, walked slowly to the window, and then said to them, "She uses the same perfume as Isabella, and she might have heard the same things Isabella said."

Everything was just speculation.

But since they were talking about it, they might as well pass the time by speculating further.

Eve thought along Victoria's lines, "If Isabella is orchestrating everything from prison, then Daisy is just a tool for Isabella."

"And a tool to deal with you."

Frank also frowned and spoke.

This was the result they dreaded the most.

They weren't worried about dealing with Isabella, but...

Even Frank couldn't tell whether Isabella held any place in Alexander's heart.

After all, Isabella and Alexander grew up together, and there were rumors of a past romance.

Frank certainly believed that Alexander wanted to see his marriage with Victoria through to the end and that he loved Victoria, but what about everything else?

He inadvertently glanced at his phone and saw a call. He answered it but hadn't had time to pick it up when he heard Eve's voice.

"Mrs. Harrington, if someone kidnaps a member of the Harrington family again and asks you to go alone, would you still take the risk?"

Eve suddenly looked seriously at Victoria and asked.

If Isabella was still causing trouble from prison, she could use the same trick again.

Eve hoped Victoria wouldn't be so impulsive again.

Victoria looked up at her and smiled helplessly.

She knew that many people secretly called her stupid for what happened when Eloise was kidnapped two years ago.

But did she have a choice at that time?

Melissa had scolded her, saying that Isabella would never kill Eloise and that she was walking into a trap as stupid as a pig.

Of course, she knew that Isabella couldn't harm Eloise.

But Isabella was a madwoman.

Eloise had indeed been hospitalized due to stress, and the doctors had mentioned some bad cases.

Many elderly people suddenly collapse from anger, whether it's a stroke or something else, and it's very easy for them to die.

Isabella was very good at distorting the truth, and Eloise would only be severely agitated in that situation.

"I would."

After a long time, Victoria softly said.

Frank's phone was still on, and after she said she would, the person on the other end hung up.

Victoria didn't understand what it meant to love someone and everything about them until she met him, even though she was scared.

Except for necessary times when the elders would help Alexander, they were usually very kind to her.

Victoria knew well that it was not wrong for family members to love their children first.

Just as she would always put Strawberry first.

"But you're about to divorce Mr. Harrington, and you might lose your life."

"So you all need to protect me well."

Victoria smiled slightly and said no more.

Alexander took Strawberry away, so Victoria had a lot of free time over the weekend. She didn't go out but tried to do as much work for VicLiv and other tasks as possible. On Monday, when Victoria arrived at work, there was a latte on her desk.

She put down her bag, looked at the cup, smelled the aroma, and then glanced at Alexander's office.

When the elevator dinged, she immediately snapped back to reality and greeted the person who arrived, "Good morning, Mr. Harrington."

Alexander walked a few steps before turning back to look at her, "Remember to drink the latte."

"Okay."

Victoria instinctively responded.

Alexander strode back to his office. She had only taken a few sips before she took the documents and went to his office.

When Alexander saw her coming, he didn't lift his eyes from the desk. He looked very serious but asked, "How's the latte? The person who made it is waiting for feedback."

"It's pretty good, thank you."

Victoria savored it and gave a serious answer.

Only then did Alexander look up. Seeing that she wasn't just being polite, he couldn't help but study her for a few more seconds before reaching out, "Give it to me."

Victoria was momentarily stunned but quickly reacted and handed over the documents.

"Join me for lunch."

"Okay."

Victoria agreed. It was quite reasonable for a secretary to accompany her boss to a lunch meeting.

Seeing her being so agreeable, Alexander looked up at her again.

Victoria couldn't understand the direct expression in his eyes, but she felt inexplicably nervous, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

Alexander lowered his head and went back to work.

Victoria stood by, waiting for him to sign the documents before leaving.

After leaving his office, Victoria still felt a bit strange, as if he was hiding something from her.

Soon, her phone rang again, "Ms. Kensington, Ms. Bryant wants to see Mr. Harrington."

Victoria was just about to deliver the documents. She sighed helplessly, hung up, and called Alexander.

Alexander's heart skipped a beat when he saw her call and immediately answered, "What's up?"

"Daisy is here to see you. She's downstairs."

"Find an excuse and send her away."

Alexander was silent for a moment, then replied in a calm voice before hanging up.

Victoria called back, "Mr. Harrington is unavailable."

The receptionist hung up and immediately told Daisy, "Sorry, Mr. Harrington is unavailable."

"Unavailable? But he said he was free last night."

The receptionist was speechless, but they were trained not to show their emotions, so she just smiled and went back to her work.

"Mrs. Harrington, what brings you here?"

Daisy was at a loss when she heard this voice.

It was Shoure's voice, and when Daisy turned around, she immediately smiled and ran over happily, "Mrs. Harrington."

The receptionist looked up in surprise.

"Ms. Bryant, what are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see Alex. Let me help you upstairs."

"No need, we're not that close. Don't let Victoria see and misunderstand."

Eloise said, pushing her hand away.

Daisy was embarrassed but quickly put her hand back on Eloise's arm, "Mrs. Harrington, let me help you. Ms. Kensington is very understanding and won't misunderstand."

"No need. What's wrong with you? I said no."

"You're being rude."

Eloise suddenly said angrily.

Daisy was accidentally pinched by Eloise's forceful grip, and her face turned pale from the pain. She immediately looked aggrieved, "Mrs. Harrington, I didn't mean to."

"Do you think I don't know if you meant it or not? I've told your family many times the only daughter-in-law of the Harrington family is Victoria. Why don't you give up?"

Eloise said angrily.

Everyone around was watching.

Daisy, with tears in her eyes, clutched her hand and looked around at the crowd. She immediately looked aggrieved and said to Eloise, "Mrs. Harrington, I met with Mr. Harrington last night. He said I could come anytime."
