Chapter 903 Life and Death Couldn't Separate Us

"Will other men make you happy?"

Alexander suppressed his breath and retorted to Victoria.

Victoria looked him in the eye firmly, "Yes."

Alexander's expression turned colder, but he quickly sneered at her, "I don't believe it."

After saying those words, his attitude changed immediately.

Victoria didn't say anything more; she couldn't persuade him.

No matter how reasonable her words were, he just wouldn't listen.

She stood there dazed for a minute, then gently turned on the faucet to wash her face.

She calmly continued with what she hadn't finished, while Alexander stood there.

Later, he even used her face cream.

Just as she dipped her finger into the jar, he grabbed her wrist and applied it to his face.

Victoria was helpless. After tidying up, she was about to leave when she heard his voice, "My mom wants you and Strawberry to come back for her birthday."

"You take Strawberry back."

Victoria knew they missed Strawberry.

Alexander turned around. He had mentioned both her and Strawberry but she excluded herself.

After breakfast, he took Strawberry for a walk.

Victoria and Eve stood at the door, watching Alexander talk to the neighbors for a bit, then borrow a bottle of something, maybe ketchup.

Eve didn't dare to ask, but she saw Victoria frowning in confusion as well.

Later, Alexander came back with Strawberry and handed the ketchup to Eve, "Take this inside. We'll buy a new bottle to return later."

"Yes."

Eve quickly took it and went inside.

Alexander, holding Strawberry, looked at Victoria, "Do you have any questions?"

"We have ketchup at home."

"Do we have? I didn't see it."

"Yes, and why would you borrow ketchup for no reason?" Victoria asked.

Alexander couldn't help but laugh, "You sure are quick to ask about this."

There was nothing wrong with asking about it.

Victoria followed him inside as he carried Strawberry, asking, "Why did you borrow ketchup from the neighbors?"

"I just went to greet. The neighbor kindly asked if I needed any help, and I couldn't refuse their hospitality, so I borrowed a bottle of ketchup."

He took Strawberry to Barbara to be fed and then turned to look at Victoria.

Victoria looked at him too, but his answer gave nothing away.

She didn't inquire.

Anyway, he was busy and would stay here for at most three days.

Just as she was about to find Strawberry, he grabbed her hand, "You stay with me today."

"Why?"

"I have a meeting that needs a secretary to take notes. Graham can't fly over from the country."

"Why now of all times?"

"Because I happened to come over now, and they wouldn't miss the chance."

Victoria was furious that she still found Alexander's words reasonable.

At ten in the morning, she accompanied him to the meeting room above the hotel.

It had been so long since she had worked so formally that she was a bit excited and very focused.

Alexander sat at the front, silently listening to the reports and watching her take notes.

He just liked having her by his side, and now he felt a profound sense of regret.

How could he have been so foolish to let her come back here?

And he had personally sent a plane for her.

Victoria felt his gaze and glanced at him.

Alexander caught peeking at her, smiled even more.

Victoria instantly put on a cold expression and lowered her head to focus.

After the meeting, the hotel arranged lunch, and Alexander, in a rare good mood, invited everyone to eat together.

Victoria accompanied him throughout.

Unexpectedly, they ran into Adrian and Ava there.

Ava was also surprised to see her in the restaurant.

Ava knew this was Alexander's hotel; she just didn't know Victoria and Alexander would be there.

"Ms. Montgomery, long time no see."

Victoria walked over to greet her.

"It's been a while. You're back to being Mrs. Harrington and no longer Felicity from the entertainment industry."

Victoria couldn't help but smile at the mention of Felicity.

"Yeah, are you here to see Adi? Did he get into trouble again?" Victoria asked.

"Maybe I'm the one who got into trouble," Ava said.

Victoria didn't believe it; Ava never made mistakes.

Alexander glanced at Adrian, "That color shirt doesn't suit you."

Victoria and Ava immediately stopped their conversation and looked at Alexander in confusion.

"Let's go; everyone is waiting for us."

Alexander didn't mind being stared at and quickly seized Victoria's shoulder to lead her away.

Victoria had to wave at Ava but couldn't help asking Alexander, "Why did you say that?"

"Maybe you secretly bought me a shirt like that as a birthday gift."

"That's completely different," Victoria explained.

"How is it different?"

"The colors are different, and the materials are different."

She bought a cotton one.

But Adrian's should be silk.

Adrian's fans were truly captivated by him; he dressed flamboyantly every day.

Alexander abruptly halted, gazing down at her with an expression of discontent, "You observe with great attentiveness. Did you see what I was wearing this morning when we got out of bed?"

"I don't expect you to notice my underwear and socks, but you saw my shirt and pants, right?"

Victoria was momentarily speechless.

If it weren't for the senior executives waiting at the private room door, she would have called him crazy.

However, considering the crowd, she chose to grant him some dignity. Ava and Adrian exchanged a glance after seeing the couple's discord as they entered the private room.

During the meal, Ava looked at Adrian, "I've decided to keep the baby."

Adrian was drinking soup and coughed uncontrollably at her words, looking at her in disbelief.

"You're so useless anyway. Whether my child has you as a father or not doesn't make much difference. Plenty of people have kids without getting married; it's not a big deal."

Adrian looked at Ava in disbelief.

"I'm sharing this with you not to assign blame, but because this child is coming into the world, and you need to know. When it's time to be there for him, you have to be there."

Adrian couldn't say a word.

Ever since that time in Ava's guest room, when she was packing and told him she was pregnant.

He was drunk that night.

He never expected it to turn out this way.

Adrian recognized his fault, but he hadn't anticipated that a single act of love would result in a pregnancy.

"I'll head back to Ankenra City after this lunch. Whether you stay here to nurse your broken heart or come back with me to continue filming is up to you."

"Ava,"

"I'm not saying this because we had sex. You should see with your eyes; they are entangled, life and death, yet they haven't broken apart. You won't have a chance in this lifetime."

Ava's words were ruthless.

Not long after, in the private room, a waiter whispered in Alexander's ear.

Alexander frowned, his expression serious, and said in a deep voice, "Bring a few more bottles of red wine."
