Chapter 21 What to Do

Could pregnant women drink it?
She'd never been pregnant and didn't have any pregnant friends, so she didn't know.
Victoria didn't think it was necessary for her to control her beverage intake; she wasn’t interested in taking this class.
She was dragging her luggage to leave when Alexander’s assistant stopped her, "Miss Kensington, you have to ask Mr. Harrington if you want to leave."
Alexander’s assistant was afraid of taking responsibility, so Victoria sat there for a while.
But around ten, when Alexander’s assistant went downstairs, she immediately took her suitcase and left.
As soon as she entered the elevator and turned around, she immediately saw someone running out of a nearby door.
Victoria's heart suddenly began to race. She hoped he wasn't coming for her.
"Didn't you take the divorce papers?"
He asked, trying to control his breath.
"Weren't you supposed to take it?"
Victoria was confused.
"Grandma fainted when she found out we're getting a divorce."
Victoria felt a sinking feeling in her heart. She thought he had taken it to the lawyer.
They quickly arrived at the city hospital. Old Lady Harrington was still on oxygen. When Arabella saw them, she was even more infuriated. She couldn't help but reprimand them in the hallway, "Why would you leave such a thing at home?"
Victoria hung her head in guilt, not knowing how to apologize.
"It's my fault. I left it under the coffee table and forgot to take it."
Alexander suddenly spoke up, taking responsibility.
Victoria looked up, even doubting if she heard him right.
He didn't push the blame onto her. He could have thrown all the problems at her, just like he did years ago when he left her alone to face the Harrington family.
She didn't know why her eyes were getting stingy and blurry.
Some unpleasant memories suddenly came to mind.
"Madam, Old Lady Harrington wants to see Mr. Harrington and Mrs. Harrington."
The nurse came out and whispered.
Arabella finally calmed down and glanced at her son. Her voice was much softer, "When you go in, talk nicely to your grandmother. Agree with whatever she says."
Alexander didn't say anything; Victoria thought that was appropriate.
"Victoria, can you do it?"
Arabella suddenly called her name. Her voice was soft, but firm.
"Yes."
Victoria didn't think much and nodded.
"Your grandmother has always been healthy, as you know. This incident has hit her hard. I don't think any of us want to lose her because of your marital problems, right?"
Arabella held her hand and continued.
Victoria looked at her and was terrified.
Losing Grandma?
Was their marriage tied to a life?
Victoria nodded sadly, "Mom, I understand."
Arabella was relieved and let go of her hand, "Then go."
Later, when the two of them stood in front of Old Lady Harrington's bed, she was connected to an oxygen tube and struggled to reach out her hand.
Her voice was muffled, but Victoria slowly squatted in front of the bed and placed her hand in Old Lady Harrington's. She was very careful, afraid of causing her pain, and whispered, "Grandma, I'm here."
"You've been wronged, Vicky."
Old Lady Harrington's voice was muffled.
Victoria didn't know what to say. Actually, everything could be put in the past.
Old Lady Harrington then looked at Alexander, "Are you trying to take my life?"
Alexander simply said, "You should rest first."
"Now that it's come to this, are you insisting on a divorce?"
Old Lady Harrington asked again.
"You've seen that we've already signed the divorce papers."
"If you get divorced, I, I..."
Old Lady Harrington suddenly had trouble breathing. Alexander immediately stepped forward, and Victoria also called out anxiously, "Grandma, Grandma..."
"Doctor..."
