Chapter 587 Meet All My Conditions

A cool breeze swept by, causing Victoria to realize that her face was hot.Alexander quickly moved away from her, grabbing her wrist to pull her up as well.

He said softly, "Let's go inside."

"Okay."

She looked down at her wrist held by him, feeling his warmth being transferred to her.

She didn't know whose heart was beating wildly, but it was intense.

Alexander kept holding her hand. Before she walked inside, she said, "I can walk by myself."

He replied, "I know."

Victoria was puzzled, following him involuntarily.

She thought, 'He knows? Then why doesn't he let go?

Victoria felt inexplicably at a loss.

However, she was still very happy to see Olivia. Several men were cooking inside, and Olivia and Tessa were gossiping with her on the couch.

"Rumor has it that Isabella has a half-brother about your age," Olivia said.

Tessa couldn't help but cover her mouth, but soon she whispered, "No wonder my mom said she would end up with nothing. So that's why."

"She's very shrewd. She might not end up with nothing, but we sure have a lot of gossip material."

Olivia raised an eyebrow at Victoria, looking pleased.

Victoria smiled too, but she wasn't interested in Isabella's future. She thought, 'Bad people never have good endings.'

"You seem to have something on your mind?" Olivia asked curiously, looking into Victoria's light eyes.

"I won't have a wedding with him." Victoria raised her hand slightly from her lap, making a rejecting gesture.

Olivia immediately glanced inside and then asked, "If Alexander hears that, won't he be mad at you?"

"Even if he's here, I would still say the same thing. I won't have a wedding with him." Victoria was very sincere.

So sincere that Olivia thought she was a bit overly naive.

Tessa muttered, "But I heard Benjamin say Mr. Harrington is very confident about this wedding."

"Of course, he can be confident, but the bride might not necessarily be me." Victoria continued to speak calmly with them.

Looking at her determined expression, Olivia and Tessa couldn't help but stare at her, asking, "Why?"

"He's not necessarily set on me." Victoria shrugged indifferently.

Olivia instinctively looked at Tessa.

"Don't look at me. It has nothing to do with me. Mr. Harrington and I are fake. Mr. Harrington must be trying to provoke you. I'm just provoking Benjamin," Tessa quickly explained.

"Someone will be willing to marry him; there are many women pursuing him." Victoria just smiled faintly. She already knew what was going on between Tessa and Alexander, so she wouldn't misunderstand. But she was sure many women would want to marry him.

"I don't need many women," Alexander said.

The three women looked at him simultaneously and then froze.

The next second, Olivia immediately stood up. "I'll go check on the kitchen."

"Me too." Tessa followed Olivia out.

Victoria, still sitting there, looked at Alexander calmly.

She thought, after all, he always knew about this.

She wouldn't have a wedding with him, and she had never wavered

Alexander was holding a plate of strawberries, each one big, red, and fresh, making them very tempting.

He looked a bit gloomy at the moment.

He didn't expect that even today, and in front of others, she would still insist on not having a wedding with him.

"Are those for me?" Victoria, seeing him silent, took the initiative to start a conversation.

"Yes." Alexander, holding back his anger, handed her the strawberries.

Victoria took them with both hands, "Thank you."

She placed the plate of strawberries on her lap, wanting to look at him but didn't dare, so she silently picked up a strawberry and took a big bite.

It was so sweet.

"Don't say you won't have a wedding anymore." Alexander sat down on a single sofa next to her and spoke seriously.

Victoria glanced at him, then turned to swallow the strawberry quickly, and looked at him again. "Then what should I say?"

"This is the last time," he said concisely.

Victoria understood what he meant by the last time, but why did it always have to be his way?

"Can I also say this is the last time? I don't want to have a wedding with you," Victoria said, leaning over to gently place the plate on the table.

She didn't know whether to eat the half strawberry in her hand.

In the end, Victoria turned and put it in her mouth, thinking it would be impolite to throw it away.

She silently finished the strawberry and then stood up. "I'll go check on their cooking too."

She had taken a detour, but Alexander still grabbed her wrist, and before she could react, she was pulled onto his lap, tightly held in his arms.

"Let go of me. Your friends are here," Victoria whispered nervously, trying to break free.

"You don't care, do you?" Alexander asked coldly.

"When did I not care? I don't want to argue with you in front of your friends."

"But you can openly say you won't have a wedding with me in front of them."

"Well, aren't they your friends? Should I lie and say I'm willing?" Victoria was scared, shrinking in his arms, not daring to move, while he felt extremely suppressed.

Actually, Alexander would rather she lie to them, and to him.

"Victoria," he called out her name seriously.

Victoria answered with a heavy heart, "What?"

"Can you lie?"

"What?"

She was an actress, but outside the set, she was just Victoria. She wouldn't lie.

"Lie to everyone and say you want to have a wedding," Alexander said.

Victoria was puzzled. "What?"

Alexander added, "Even if you end up running away, at least tell everyone before you do."

Victoria was stunned. Looking at him again, she felt her heart sinking slowly into endless darkness, cold and gloomy.

He continued coldly, "It's settled then. I can give you some money."

Victoria was surprised by his words, and she didn't know why she felt so emotional. With an urge to cry, she asked him softly, "How much?"

"As much as you want."

"As much as I want? That could be a lot," she said softly, and Alexander smiled helplessly.

He never cared about her spending money. It was her who didn't want to use it.

Alexander looked at her, "You can spend the money on your card as you wish."

"Alright." Victoria lowered her eyes, not knowing why she didn't feel happy.

Why did it have to become a transaction between them?

Victoria said, "Actually, I was just..."

Alexander interrupted her, "If you agree, you have to meet my conditions."

"What?"

"Meet all my conditions," Alexander said seriously again.
