Chapter 477 His Endurance Was the Strongest

"She fell silent because she thought of her parents.

She couldn't help but look up at him.

His face was cold as if he didn't want to be disturbed by strangers.

This was completely different from the warmth of his fingers.

The warmth of the hand holding hers could make her eyes heat up and her vision blur.

The car grew increasingly quiet.

She carefully looked away but then accidentally saw her and Alexander's interlocked fingers.

""Please, Mr. Harrington, let go of me,"" she said softly, without any temper.

""There's no Mr. Harrington here. Just a man waiting for his wife to apologize,"" Alexander said in a cold and deep voice.

""What did I do wrong?"" Victoria looked at him in confusion and asked again.

""Don't you even know what you did wrong?"" Alexander said.

""No, I don't,"" Victoria said stubbornly to him.

Without speaking more, Alexander just continued driving seriously.

Actually, Felix wanted to say that traffic safety was more important than holding hands.

But he didn't dare to say it.

They finally returned to The Harrington Mansion, and Victoria got out of the car first while he was parking.

Felix quickly got out, too. ""Mr. Harrington, how about I park the car?""

""No need."" Alexander looked out, parked the car, and sat in it for a while.

Victoria entered the living room and happily chatted with the elders, completely different from when she was with Alexander.

When Alexander came in, he heard Eloise saying, ""Last night, I had a dream that you two also had a pair of twins, Victoria. You must make my dream come true quickly, okay?""

""I'll try,"" Victoria replied with an awkward but polite smile.

'But I don't want to have children with him. He is so fierce and does not understand at all. He even sprays the car with such a strong perfume, the same one Isabella used.' Victoria thought and immediately fell silent when she saw him walk in.

Alexander just gave her a cold glance and sat down beside her.

She was sitting between Eloise and his mother so that he couldn't do anything.

""Did you two spend the night together on Rockland Street last night?""

After Alexander sat down, Eloise couldn't help but ask Victoria happily, thinking, 'Maybe my great-grandchild is already in Victoria's belly.'

""I only saw Mr. Harrington this morning."" Victoria immediately glanced at him innocently and explained.

""This morning?"" Eloise frowned.

Even Arabella couldn't help but look at Alexander. ""Didn't you come back yesterday?""

""I arrived at four in the morning,"" Alexander said lightly, then looked at Victoria.

Victoria looked at him when she heard ""four in the morning.""

""I got it. You saw Alexander  in bed this morning, right?"" Eloise let her imagination run wild again.

Victoria saw Eloise so excited and didn't want to disappoint her, so she agreed, ""Yes, I saw him in bed.""

But she couldn't help but look at Alexander. If he drove back from out of town and arrived at four in the morning, what time did he leave?

She calculated carefully, then lowered her gaze and said nothing.

But thinking of that bottle of perfume, she suddenly calmed down.

""As long as you two are fine, if Adrian goes to Rockland Street to find you again, you'd better not see him,"" Arabella suddenly said.

When Victoria heard her mention Adrian, she explained, ""Mom, Adrian, and I are very good friends.""

Alexander suddenly sneered.

The three women looked at him, and Alexander then looked away.

""You and Adrian should try not to see each other. Adrian is very stubborn, like his mother. If he has feelings for you, he won't let go easily,"" Arabella still reminded her.

""Okay,"" Victoria obediently agreed.

But she knew that not seeing someone wasn't as easy as it sounded. Unless...

It rained after dinner, and Eloise kept the two of them there.

Alexander lay on the bed watching her come out after her shower, immediately staring at her unhappily.

Victoria consciously sat on the sofa. Seeing that he was still angry, she said, ""I know a way to avoid Adrian.""

Alexander quickly fixed his gaze on her, signaling her to speak.

""You can divorce me and allow me to the UK,"" Victoria advised.

""We see each other more because he's filming in Ankenra City and establishing his career domestically. We won't see each other if I return to the UK,"" Victoria explained seriously.

""Is it that you don't want to see him or me?"" Alexander asked her in a deep voice.

Victoria felt a pang in her heart but thought, 'You clearly know who I don't want to see!'

And indeed, if she left, no one would have to worry about any inappropriate relationships happening.

Alexander threw his phone aside and then commanded, ""Come to bed.""

""I'll sleep on the sofa,"" Victoria refused.

""Do you still want to sleep on the sofa in November?"" Alexander asked.

""I want to,"" Victoria shouted.

His fierceness made her unable to help but raise her voice.

Victoria then lay on the sofa, childishly turning her back to him.

Alexander was very annoyed, but seeing her small, soft body lying on the sofa made him feel particularly distressed. He immediately sat up.

But he suppressed all his impulses and quietly got out of bed.

Victoria didn't hear anything, too busy being angry with him.

She felt very wronged.

'When you returned from drinking with Isabella out of town, you were soaked in her perfume. They just spoke so forcefully to me. Adrian found me because he liked me. You were unreasonable and lectured me.'

The more Victoria thought about it, the more her eyes stung.

Then she suddenly felt something under her waist and turned around in fright.

She fell right into his arms.

Alexander effortlessly lifted her from the sofa.

Victoria panicked and pushed against his chest. ""Who allows you to carry me? Let go of me.""

""If I really let go, are you sure you want that?"" Alexander said.

Victoria looked at him and suddenly calmed down.

If he let go now, she would fall and get hurt.

She immediately wrapped her arms around his shoulders and said softly, ""Put me back on the sofa.""

""I'm so angry right now. Do you think I'll be that obedient?"" Alexander asked back.

Victoria had to look up at him.

He did look quite angry.

But she was angry too. Why should Alexander be the only one who got to be disobedient?

""Then put me down gently,"" Victoria said.

At worst, she would lie back on the sofa herself.

Alexander looked down at her but said nothing, and they remained in a standoff.

Anyway, his arm strength was good enough to show her how strong he was.

Didn't she like fitness coaches?

He would let her know that a fitness coach's endurance was no match for his.

Victoria didn't know what he was thinking, but the longer they stood there, the more flustered she became.

""Alexander..."" Victoria begged.

""Mr. Harrington, Mrs. Harrington, Mrs. Li Senior asked me to bring you some soup to drink before going to bed,"" Erica interrupted.

""Hurry, put me down."" Victoria heard the voice at the door and didn't have time to call out to him, so she quickly whispered to him.

Alexander remained calm and asked her, ""Where should I put you?""

Victoria glanced at him and immediately said, ""On the bed.""

""This is your choice. I'm not forcing you,"" Alexander said.

""Hurry up,"" Victoria urged him softly.

Alexander placed her on the bed and then immediately lay down beside her, covering them both with the same quilt. ""Come in.""

""Mr. Harrington, Mrs. Harrington, sorry to disturb you."" Erica brought soup to their bed. Victoria received a bowl from Alexander.

Victoria, leaning against him, accepted it and murmured, ""Thank you, and please thank Mrs. Harrington for me.""

""Okay, Mrs. Harrington said she'll be happy once you finish the soup,"" Erica said.

""Alright,"" Victoria agreed, holding the bowl and drinking the soup.

Alexander accepted his bowl but didn't drink instantly. He watched Victoria finish and asked, ""How about you drink mine too?"""
