Chapter 997 The Moisture on the Fingertips
Victoria wanted to bite off his tongue.
But before she could do that, he bit her lip first.
When it came to biting, he seemed quite experienced.
She hummed when she felt her lip was about to be bitten through, and he quickly let go, then started sucking on it, not as sharply as before, but more gently.
Gently?
Victoria wasn't sure if that was the right word.
She didn't even know why she thought of that word.
How gentle could a man be to a blind woman?
Was he crazy?
Was he seeking some thrill?
But with all the scars on her body, what thrill could there be?
Victoria was confused.
Confused when it came to him.
He was kissing her with full concentration, and even when she resisted, he only thought about conquering her, about pleasing her.
But she remained indifferent.
Alexander stopped, looked up, and saw her distracted look. He couldn't help but smile helplessly, pressing his forehead against hers, "Honey, what are you thinking about?"
Victoria snapped back to reality, but was a bit flustered by his words.
Alexander kissed the tip of her nose lightly, then swiftly dressed himself and picked her up from the bed, "Let's go eat something."
Victoria had eaten quite a lot at noon, so she wasn't very hungry.
But since she was in his arms and couldn't speak, she just went along with him.
After going downstairs, he still held her on his lap, looking at the fruits, desserts, and coffee on the table. He then asked Eve, who was standing nearby, "Did you take Mrs. Harrington for coffee?"
"Yes."
"Did Mrs. Harrington like it?"
He asked, glancing at the blushing person in his arms.
"She liked it a lot. Ms. Harrington and Miss Olivia bought several kinds, and Mrs. Harrington tried each one first."
"Good."
Alexander listened, feeling quite satisfied.
He bent down to pick a cherry, then took her hand and placed it in her palm.
"I wanted to feed it directly to your mouth, but seeing how shy you are, you can eat it yourself."
He said, guiding her hand to her mouth before letting go.
Victoria instinctively wanted to smell it, but held back.
The cherry was a bit cold in her mouth. Just as she was about to chew, she heard him say, "I poisoned it."
Victoria panicked and held the cherry in her mouth.
After a moment, she tried to spit it out, but he held the back of her head and blocked her mouth.
In her fear, she almost swallowed the whole cherry. If it weren't too big, she could only puff her cheeks and slowly taste it.
When Alexander's thin lips left hers, they were stained with a bit of cherry juice.
It seemed like something he had wanted to do for a long time, but it happened today.
It turned out that sharing a cherry was quite challenging.
He gave up but found her flushed face particularly amusing.
"I wouldn't let you die alone."
Alexander gently touched the back of her neck as he spoke.
Victoria held the cherry in her mouth, not daring to move.
His level of intimacy was beyond her understanding.
Alexander looked into her eyes, which couldn't see him, feeling a pang in his heart. But soon, his eyes were filled with a smile.
So what if she couldn't see?
Her eyes still only had him.
He took a deep breath, or rather, he was filled with a determination, a determination not to give in.
He believed that she belonged to him alone.
Whether she was blind, deaf, or even dead.
In any case, her heart and body would always bear his mark.
Alexander slowly leaned back, quietly watching her.
She didn't need to panic or feel sad; she seemed like a different person.
His Adam's apple moved with emotion, but he silently held her hand.
Soon, he brought her some dessert and then handed her some coffee.
Victoria didn't refuse, and he didn't make her eat a lot of each, just a taste.
Victoria thought this was quite nice.
He just held her hand, and his hand was warm.
Victoria silently thought, maybe she didn't need to be so scared anymore?
Thinking positively, maybe she was really about to have some good luck?
She felt like she had gained weight in the past few days, and her body was gradually warming up, no longer feeling like a living person without any warmth.
Alexander's phone rang again. He held her hand and picked up the phone with the other, seeing it was Diana, before answering, "What's up?"
Victoria silently ate the cherry, listening to their conversation.
"Who, that woman?"
"Daisy? Got it."
Alexander hung up the phone and looked at Victoria.
He felt she had heard.
Victoria indeed heard and was already guessing that it was another woman of his.
Well, he had been sleeping with her every night recently, so that woman must be unhappy, right?
Daisy?
Victoria found the name familiar, not sure where she had heard it, but it was definitely within the Harrington family.
"After your incident, she was forced by Isabella to admit she had kidnapped you. I took advantage of the situation and sent her to jail for a while."
Alexander gently stroked her hand, speaking seriously to her.
Victoria took another bite of the cherry without saying a word.
Alexander wasn't sure if she heard clearly, but continued, "She probably thinks we owe her, but what do we owe her? Everything was her own doing."
Alexander looked at Victoria, not feeling he owed anyone.
He always made things clear, but those women had their fantasies, thinking they could replace her.
No matter how he explained, they all thought they were unique beauties.
But they didn't know that only the one in front of him was his true love.
His eyes gradually filled with something delicate, and just before it fell, he stopped looking at her and instead lay on her lap, placing her hand on his chest.
Victoria felt him resting on her lap, holding her breath for half a minute, not daring to move.
"It's okay, we'll take it slow."
He looked at her, who never showed any emotion towards him, and spoke softly.
Now, he had all the patience to stay with her.
They wouldn't go through any more storms; he just wanted her to get better. Time would reveal everything, and that was the easiest thing.
Alexander turned to the side, burying his face in her abdomen.
Victoria was even more frightened, wanting to push him away, but he wrapped his arms around her waist.
Victoria couldn't move, but feeling him stay still, she silently wondered, was he crying?
She just wanted to push his face away, but her fingertips felt a bit of wetness.
