Chapter 506 Unable to Resist Shaking His Hand

"What are you thinking? I told you to convince me," Alexander teased.

Victoria's face turned red instantly. Even in the dim light, it was obvious.

"You want me too, don't you?" Alexander's eyes locked onto hers as he leaned in, his voice dripping with seduction.

"No." Victoria glanced at him and quickly looked down, embarrassed.

She could never resist his teasing. A simple gesture from him would make her comply.

What she was really thinking was, if they had no future, working together wouldn't be right. If they did have a future, they'd have a family. She wasn't career-driven. She wanted to spend more time with her family and their baby.

If that day ever came...

In the morning, Victoria dreamed of her parents again.

In their home abroad, she would come home from school to find her parents cuddling on the couch, looking very much in love.

Victoria ran over to call them, but someone suddenly grabbed her.

She felt a suffocating pressure enveloping her body, causing her to tilt her head back in an attempt to gasp for air.

Her neck was being kissed.

Before she suffocated, she opened her eyes and, gasping for breath, looked at the familiar ceiling. Her eyelashes lowered, and she saw the man's short blonde hair. Her heart inexplicably calmed down a lot, but within three seconds, her delicate hands were holding his ears.

"Alexander," Victoria said softly.

Alexander lifted his head from her chest and said, "Awake?"

When Alexander came to Victoria, she smiled, and he immediately bit her chin hard.

She didn't realize how gentle her smile was.

She just wanted to say, with him kissing her like that, how could she not smile?

They hadn't actually had a real relationship. Even though there had been some intimate moments, those were rare.

Who wouldn't wake up if kissed on the chest?

She even couldn't help but tremble.

Victoria muttered, "Why are you doing this so early in the morning..."

Alexander chuckled. "Is it not okay?"

"You haven't won me over yet."

"Just a kiss," Alexander whispered, giving her lips a couple of light kisses, seeking her understanding of his plight.

Victoria said shyly, "Where are you kissing?"

Alexander asked, "Don't you like it?"

Victoria had just relaxed a bit, but his question made her tense up again.

Unfamiliar with such situations, her actions were not driven by desire, but rather by a combination of nervousness, shyness, and uncertainty.

"You like it, too." Alexander gently caressed her waist with his fingers, kissed her forehead lightly, and continued kissing her after speaking.

At this moment, Alexander's phone rang, and he frowned in annoyance. He just wanted to spend time with Victoria in the morning.

But fearing it might be something important from the company, he went to get his phone.

Victoria, feeling shy, also glanced at his phone. The name Isabella was quite clear.

Alexander looked at Victoria, his heart skipping a beat. As he answered the call, he gave her a light kiss on the lips, not wanting her to overthink.

"Alexander? I'm here to move some things. Do you want to come down and check? I'm afraid I might take the wrong stuff," said Isabella on the phone.

"Alright," Alexander said, quickly hanging up and telling Victoria, "Isabella said she's here to move some things and asked if we want to go down and check to prevent any mistakes."

Victoria snorted, "Isabella probably wants you to go alone, right?"

"I'm inviting you to come along," Alexander said.

"Don't regret it. I won't let her take anything that doesn't belong to her," Victoria said.

Alexander smiled at her words and nodded. "Alright."

He couldn't help but kiss her a few more times on the lips. He loved her mix of softness and assertiveness.

Alexander was quick to act. He got out of bed first, and while Victoria was looking for clothes, he suddenly came over, hugged her waist from behind, and pulled out a pair of black pants, asking, "How about these?"

"Don't you want me to wear a skirt?" Victoria asked.

"Better to stay warm most of the time."

Victoria turned to look at him, scrutinizing him. Did he just ask her to stay warm? This was the first time she had heard a man other than her father say something like that to her. It felt unreal.

Not long ago, they were about to part ways, and now, they were lying in the same bed, and he was concerned about her staying warm. Victoria felt a warmth in her heart, which was unfamiliar but precious.

Half an hour later, they appeared downstairs together.

Isabella looked upset, standing in the living room in a fitted long dress, watching the staff pack up. The door was open, and Alexander entered holding Victoria's hand.

Isabella observed in silence, her heart heavy with pain. The man who had nearly become her husband now held another woman's hand. Victoria, in long pants and a loose sweater, following Alexander, looked like a housewife.

Isabella thought, 'How could such a woman like Victoria deserve to be holding Alexander's hand?'

Isabella forced a smile and said, "Alexander, you're here, and Victoria too."

Victoria said nothing, just watched the packing.

"Quite early," Alexander greeted Isabella indifferently.

"Better to move early so you won't be embarrassed in front of Victoria." Isabella seemed very considerate of Alexander.

Alexander glanced at her, then at Victoria. Victoria thought, 'Thanks, Isabella, for being so considerate of me. It's not even seven o'clock yet. Is she really worried about embarrassment, or is there another reason?'

After being harmed a few times and almost losing her life, Victoria had always been reluctant to speculate about others.

"It was my idea for you to move out. You don't have to..." Alexander suddenly said.

"It was my request," Victoria said and looked up at Alexander, not wanting him to take the blame.

Alexander looked down at her and said softly, "Actually, it's my thought too. We live here. It's not appropriate for another woman to stay here."

Silence descended upon Victoria and Isabella. Isabella's heart ached deeply, while Victoria's emotions stirred. 'Could his words hold truth?' Victoria pondered.

At this moment, she felt like she had no reason to doubt him anymore. Hearing Alexander's words, Isabella was in pain.

Victoria looked at Isabella, then silently smiled at him. "Got it."

Isabella felt only irony. She thought, 'Is Victoria showing off her love with Alexander who I almost have?'

Isabella couldn't wait to see Victoria disappear. She couldn't bear that the ordinary woman, Victoria, was so arrogant in front of her. Isabella thought Victoria's lack of humility was the main reason for her quick defeat.

But at this moment, Victoria only felt that Alexander gave her a great sense of security. He had transformed, no longer resembling the man torn between two women. He now exuded the qualities of a devoted husband.

Although their marriage started two years late, they still may be very happy. As long as they loved each other, it was enough. Even though he hadn't said he loved her, his recent actions showed it.

Victoria felt that Alexander had fallen in love with her, and she couldn't help but hold his hand.
