Chapter 932 He Admitted He Wasn't Being Honest with Himself

Victoria immediately raised her hand to grasp Alexander's wrist, but his hand didn't move an inch.

Alexander caressed her lips slowly to one side, then pinched them and leaned in.

Even just a light kiss on her lips made him feel immensely satisfied.

He pinched her chin, his dark eyes gazing at her, "They taste sweet."

Victoria wanted to say something, but ended up saying nothing.

She wouldn't mind making love with Alexander, as long as he would stop when she said so.

Victoria realized she had no control over anything, lowered her eyes, and reminded softly, "Diana is outside."

"That's why you can stand here peacefully now." He murmured.

Victoria lifted her gaze to meet his, and in that moment, she was captivated by the depth of his eyes, staring straight at her.

"My wound has been hurting a bit lately." Victoria suddenly murmured.

Alexander's eyes immediately sharpened, and he lowered his head to lift her shirt, "Let me check."

Victoria pressed her hand against her stomach. "Forget it, you can't see it clearly anyway."

Alexander had already crouched down but kept raising his eyes to stare at her.

Victoria stared straight back at him.

Soon, he smiled as if he understood, slowly stood up, and whispered in her ear, "Does it really hurt?"

"It really hurts."

"You're not testing me?"

"How could I? You even got bruises on yourself."

She lowered her eyes, very calm and composed.

Alexander's thin lips curved slightly.

The more composed she appeared, the more he felt it was fake.

"I've thought you were just superficially concerned about me. Last night was the only time in a long while that I was naked in front of you, and you noticed the bruises on me. It seems you genuinely care about me." He spoke in a very sexy, low voice.

"Alexander, I need to book a flight."

Victoria couldn't stand hearing him talk like that.

This feeling of being seen through made her very uncomfortable.

But as soon as she mentioned booking a flight, his long eyes immediately turned cold.

Victoria was determined to leave.

But his displeased look made her unconsciously lower her eyes. "Once Strawberry's birthday is over, I'll leave immediately. Whether you want her to go with me or not, it doesn't matter."

"If you're going to leave, why wait for Strawberry's birthday?" Alexander suddenly let go of Victoria and walked out the door.

Victoria slowly placed her hands behind her back, lightly scratching the wallpaper.

Soon she turned around, noticing the wallpaper was torn.

This definitely wasn't her doing.

She smoothed it out, but it didn't flatten, so she walked out holding her hand.

This had nothing to do with her.

After Victoria went out, she saw Alexander and Diana whispering about something. When Victoria went downstairs, they stopped talking.

Alexander was holding Strawberry on the couch, feeding her strawberries.

Strawberry was very happy eating. When she saw Victoria coming over, she immediately handed the half-eaten strawberry to her.

Victoria's heart skipped a beat. It wasn't that Victoria meant to be picky, but strawberries are perishable, and they couldn't withstand Strawberry squeezed them like that.

"I don't like eating them, you eat it yourself, sweetie."

Victoria quickly held her wrist and gently brought it back to her mouth.

Strawberry was very happy, as if she were just teasing Victoria, and took a big bite.

"Are you disgusted by our daughter being dirty?"

Alexander immediately asked in a cold voice.

"If you're not disgusted, you eat it."

Victoria immediately held Strawberry's little wrist and brought it to him.

Strawberry's big eyes showed some shock, as if saying, 'Who wants to steal my strawberry?'

Alexander frowned. "It's not appropriate to take things from a child."

He gently brought the strawberry back to Strawberry.

Strawberry's eyes immediately showed a relieved expression, and she continued eating the strawberry while watching cartoons.

Diana sent a message, then looked up to see the family of three sitting together. She suddenly thought, 'Does Alexander know Isabella is missing? And if Isabella really came out, would she seek revenge first? The first person, Isabella, would seek revenge on...'

Diana looked at Victoria. Victoria had to know about this; she needed to be prepared. But Diana decided to talk to Alexander alone later. After all, such matters should be handled by Alexander first.

After thinking it over, Diana sat aside and took a few photos of them, saying, "I'll take some photos for you to keep as a memento. When Victoria leaves, Alexander can look at them when he's alone."

For the first time, both Alexander and Victoria looked at Diana speechlessly.

"Smile, my photography skills are top-notch in our team."

"You can't dig up much in archaeology, but you're good at taking photos?" Alexander asked lightly.

"Alexander, can you stop mocking me? Otherwise, I'll tell Victoria your secret." Diana threatened Alexander while taking photos, feeling very satisfied with her work.

"What secret?" Victoria asked, thinking about the time they were whispering.

"What secret could I have? Just some things I say that don't match my true feelings." Alexander replied, looking a bit sad.

Diana wisely kept quiet after hearing this.

But Victoria, after hearing it, gently touched Strawberry's hair and remarked softly, "If it's just occasional, it's fine. But if it's long-term, maybe that's your true feelings."

Alexander turned to look at Victoria, "You don't even know my true feelings?"

"I know." Victoria looked at him, speaking softly.

Diana thought Victoria's calm demeanor could give Alexander a heart attack.

But Alexander brought it on himself.

Alexander shouldn't be so contradictory all the time.

Their contradictory behavior could hurt people.

Like Curtis.

Whenever she thought of what Curtis had said, her heart ached.

But once, when she was drinking at a bar, the waiter called Curtis, and he immediately came to take her away.

If Curtis didn't like her, why would he care?

Alexander, after hearing what Victoria said, looked away after a few seconds and took a wet wipe to clean Strawberry's hands.

What did Victoria mean by knowing?

Alexander felt a bit uncomfortable. If Victoria really knew he loved her, she wouldn't keep saying she wanted to leave.

She even mentioned she could leave without taking Strawberry. What did she mean by that?

Wasn't she just saying she wouldn't stay for anyone? Not even for Strawberry.

To her, neither he nor Strawberry mattered. Nothing was more important than her freedom.

'Forget it, if she wants to leave...' Alexander thought to himself.
