Chapter 682 Is She good Now?
The frail body slowly lay back down, and as she turned, tears streamed down her face.
Victoria gently placed her hand on the little one's shoulder beside her, just resting it there.
She kept having that dream.
Alexander just rushed over and hugged Isabella, getting pierced by her knife.
It turned out that everything, their child, Eloise, and herself, couldn't compare to an Isabella.
It turned out that childhood sweethearts were indeed significant.
She slowly approached the little one who was sleeping soundly and gently rested her forehead on her shoulder.
The next day, Ankenra City.
Adrian called at the right time, "He came by, at the hotel we used to stay at."
"Adrian, I want to go to work."
"What about Strawberry?"
"Frank and Ms. Wood will help."
"Alright, but since you are not in a good health. Don't push yourself if you get too tired."
After Adrian finished speaking, he slowly hung up. He always had a feeling that Victoria would leave him sooner or later.
Just as he hung up, his phone rang again. Seeing it was Eloise , he paused before answering, "Hello, Grandma."
"Adrian, I heard you're filming nearby. Come stay with me for a few days."
Eloise said on the phone.
"I can't stay for a few days, but I don't have night scenes tomorrow, so I can definitely come for dinner."
Adrian replied.
"Then it's settled. I'll be waiting for you."
Eloise eagerly sought his promise.
"Okay."
Adrian agreed, thinking that maybe it was time for them to meet.
He looked at the ring on his finger and then took a deep breath.
That night, after finishing his scenes, Adrian drove himself to the Harrington Mansion. It had been a long time since he had been there and the century-old house felt even more profound, but it didn't suit him.
Maybe it was because his parents were kicked out early on and he never felt a sense of belonging there.
He always felt that his grandparents only loved Alexander and he was just an outsider.
Why did Eloise want to see him?
Adrian sighed helplessly but had to endure it. He knew why he was called back, but he still wanted to see how they would bring it up.
About Victoria.
Adrian bought gifts and just as he parked, another car pulled up behind him.
As the car stopped, Alexander's tall figure emerged, his long legs standing straight in front of him. He looked at Adrian with a cold gaze, "You're back."
"Yes."
Adrian replied, but seeing Alexander made his heart ache inexplicably.
They were cousins, so why was there such a big difference in their fates?
Alexander inadvertently saw the shiny ring on Adrian's hand holding the gift.
Rings all looked similar and it was this similarity that made people uneasy.
Alexander didn't ask much, "Let's go in."
"Okay."
Adrian said nothing more and walked in with him.
"Mr. Alexander Harrington, Mr. Adrian Harrington."
Mason greeted them at the door.
"I brought some snacks for everyone. Thank you, Mr. Shaba."
Adrian said politely as he handed the gift to Mason.
"Thank you, Mr. Adrian Harrington. I'll have someone plate them and bring them to the living room."
"Okay."
After Mason left, Adrian continued walking inside with Alexander.
Alexander still liked to sit alone, watching Eloise and Adrian interact warmly, just silently observing. But for some reason, he suddenly pictured Victoria sitting next to Eloise.
"How's your mom's health?" Arabella asked from the side.
"My mom's doing well. You look great, too."
"Oh, I'm just the same."
Arabella looked at Adrian, wanting to ask something but unsure if she should, feeling uncomfortable.
Brett chimed in, "Since you're back for filming, come back often to spend time with your grandma and me. We're getting old and want to see you more."
"Grandpa, you're not old at all. I can't even match your fitness, but I'll definitely come back more often."
The grudges of the previous generation seemed to be fading away quietly with Adrian's father's passing. He could feel the elders' need for him, but actually, Adrian felt quite unfair.
Having never enjoyed his grandparents' care since childhood, he wasn't very happy.
"Adrian, do you have a girlfriend?" Eloise suddenly grabbed his hand and asked.
Adrian looked at the ring on his hand, "Yes, I finally managed to win her over. Grandma, will you give us your blessing?"
"Of course, I'll bless you. I've already prepared the wedding expenses for you. If you get married, you won't have to worry about anything."
Eloise said.
Adrian smiled, "I will sincerely appreciate it if Grandma has prepared it for me, but we probably won't get married."
"Won't get married?" Eloise was puzzled.
"Yes, we both enjoy our current life. Many people don't get married nowadays, we're just following the trend."
Adrian explained patiently.
Arabella and Maximus couldn't help but exchange glances, and Arabella looked at Alexander before saying, "Adrian, Vi..."
"Mom, shouldn't you check if there are any dishes Adrian likes in the kitchen?" Alexander, who had been silent, suddenly interrupted.
Arabella looked at her son in confusion but reluctantly got up and went to the kitchen.
Adrian knew what Arabella wanted to ask as soon as he heard that word. But he didn't know why Alexander stopped her from asking. Anyway, they would ask sooner or later.
"You might as well leave the living room," Eloise suddenly said, a bit sternly, to Alexander.
Alexander raised his eyes and reluctantly got up and left.
"Alexander has been spoiled by Arabella since he was a child and has no manners," Eloise muttered after he left.
Adrian just smiled cooperatively without saying much. Alexander was inherently cold, he was probably already being very low-key.
"Is Victoria with you?" Maximus suddenly asked.
Yes, since everyone was hesitant and didn't know where to start, he decided to speak first.
"What do you mean by 'with me'?" Adrian suddenly asked.
And Alexander, who had walked inside, suddenly stopped, even holding his breath.
"How is she now?" Maximus thought for a moment and rephrased his question.
"Not good," Adrian hesitated and only said briefly.
"Not good? What do you mean?" Maximus asked patiently.
And Brett and Eloise were already looking at Adrian nervously.
"Well, her health is quite weak and she can't even hold a few-month-old baby," Adrian explained naturally.
Eloise was puzzled and asked, "What, what few-month-old baby?"
