Chapter 963 Earrings

Alexander didn't mention a word to Victoria about the dream in which she was lying in a pool of blood.

After breakfast, Alexander took Victoria for a walk. He was wearing the new clothes she bought for him. He took something out of his pocket and said, "It seems like there's something in the clothes you bought for me?"

"What?"

Victoria curiously walked up to him and looked down.

Alexander opened his palm, revealing a pair of beautiful earrings.

Victoria was captivated by them and after a while, she reached out to his palm and gently picked up one to examine it.

It looked especially beautiful in the light.

"Do you like it?"

Alexander watched her intently as she focused on the earrings, feeling a bit jealous of them but also hoping she liked them.

"Yes."

Victoria nodded and calmly accepted them.

When she reached for the other earring, he closed his hand, holding her hand in his palm, and softly said, "Where's my reward?"

Victoria looked at him and sighed helplessly, "Can't you just give a gift without expecting something in return?"

"I like your reward."

He teased her on purpose.

Victoria, feeling helpless but unable to resist his teasing, said, "Then I don't want it anymore."

She pulled her hand back and turned to leave, but her wrist was immediately grabbed, and she was pulled back into his arms.

Their eyes met, and Victoria could hear her heart pounding.

Alexander didn't hesitate any longer. After a domineering glance, he cupped her face and kissed her.

Victoria's heart continued to race uncontrollably.

His gaze, his kiss, all seemed to say that he wanted to possess her forever.

Later, the two went to buy enough coffee for everyone and brought it home.

The servants had been given the day off to go shopping, leaving just the two of them at home.

Alexander rolled up his shirt sleeves and started cooking, while Victoria watched from the side, softly saying, "How about I cook?"

"You?"

Alexander slowly rolled up his sleeves and then looked straight at her.

Victoria felt a tightness in her chest under his gaze. The next second, Alexander was beside her, just holding her waist.

She felt a slight pain in her waist, but within seconds, she was sitting on the counter.

Alexander pinched her chin, making her tilt her head up so he could kiss her, then gently touched his forehead to hers and whispered, "You sit here and watch me cook."

Victoria then sat there, watching him cook the whole time.

He looked so charming while cooking.

Victoria sighed inwardly. She didn't quite like seeing him so at ease in her kitchen.

She was just afraid that something bad might happen in the future.

He explained the reason for Isabella's prison transfer, claiming that Isabella could never be released so easily, even if she did something incredibly good in prison.

But Victoria felt uneasy.

Maybe it was because someone had been lurking around her house recently, monitoring her life.

Or maybe it was that stab wound, leaving a scar on him and a wound in her heart that had never been removed.

Victoria was conflicted. She craved Alexander's gentle care and the warmth of his palm.

Craving someone's warmth didn't seem hard to control, but when she woke up from her dreams with tears streaming down her face, her heart ached.

"Is there anything in the country you particularly want? I'll bring it for you next time I come."

He suddenly asked.

Victoria snapped back to reality, "No, when will you come next time?"

"When you least expect it."

He looked at her and, while talking, put a slice of carrot in her mouth.

Victoria chewed the carrot, thinking about his unexpected visit, and after finishing, said, "Actually, you could give me an exact time."

"What?"

Alexander didn't understand.

Victoria just smiled and lowered her head.
