Chapter 871 Alexander, Would You Really Retrieve My Body?
"You said you loved me, how funny."
Victoria could only murmur that one sentence, and suddenly a wave of nausea surged in her chest, and the suppressed thing in her throat suddenly came out.
Looking at the bright red blood on the white blanket, Victoria suddenly thought, 'She might be dying.'
That was fine.
There was someone to retrieve her body.
She choked, the blood in her throat surprisingly tasted sweet, she smiled and slowly lifted her tear-streaked face, looking at Alexander's suddenly obscure face, and asked him, "Alexander, will you retrieve my body?"
Alexander was momentarily speechless.
"Thank you so much, but unfortunately, I can't repay this favor."
Victoria looked at Alexander, unable to hold on any longer, and was about to fall forward.
But her shoulder was suddenly grabbed, it felt tight and painful, but she quickly lost consciousness.
"Victoria."
There was a trembling voice, or maybe it was an auditory hallucination.
Victoria couldn't hear clearly, nor could she see.
She thought, 'It's all over.'
She didn't expect this outcome.
She only thought she would live in the pain of losing Strawberry day and night until she went mad.
She missed her mom and dad.
Her mom and dad would hold her in their hands and love her, they loved her so much.
Everything was over.
All the pain, anxiety, disaster, torment, all of it, was over.
Morning, The Harrington Mansion.
Brett was working out, watching a familiar car drive in from a distance, the young girl parked the car not far from him and stood by the car to salute him.
The young girl was Eve.
Arabella and Eloise had just come out of their rooms, sat down in the living room, and hadn't even taken a sip of coffee when they heard someone announce, "Mrs. Eloise Harrington, Mrs. Arabella Harrington, Eve is here, Mrs. Victoria Harrington's bodyguard."
Arabella's heart skipped a beat at the mention of this name, but she hesitated for a while before quickly saying, "Let her in."
Arabella suddenly had a bad feeling.
Eve coming over at this time, could it be that something happened to Victoria?
Eloise also mumbled, "Why is Eve coming to our house so early?"
Arabella's heart sank even more, afraid of scaring Eloise.
But at this moment, it seemed like nothing could be hidden anymore.
"Mrs. Arabella Harrington, Mr. Alexander Harrington asked me to bring Ms. Harrington."
"Bring Strawberry where?"
"To see Mrs. Victoria Harrington."
Eve was very tactful, seeing Eloise there, she spoke very vaguely.
"What do you mean to see Victoria?"
Eloise thought this sentence was a mess.
"Did they make up?"
Eloise misunderstood because previously Alexander wouldn't let Victoria see Strawberry, and now he wanted to bring Strawberry, she optimistically thought they must have made up.
"Yes."
But, Eve was hesitant.
"Why are you speaking so unclearly? This isn't like you, Eve?"
Eloise noticed Eve kept her head down, which was unusual for her.
Eve choked up, but only said, "Please, Mrs. Arabella Harrington and Mrs. Eloise Harrington, quickly have someone bring Ms. Harrington down."
"You come with me to bring Strawberry."
Arabella noticed what seemed like tears on Eve's eyelashes and immediately said.
Then Arabella stood up, took Eve's hand, and went upstairs.
Eloise was puzzled, feeling something was off.
Just then Brett came back, and Eloise couldn't help but mumble, "Victoria's bodyguard Eve came, speaking very strangely."
"Where's Eve?"
"Eve said Alexander asked her to bring Strawberry to see Victoria," Eloise said.
Brett even felt something was wrong with that sentence.
If the couple usually wanted to bring Strawberry over, it would never be said like this.
Upstairs, Arabella seriously scrutinized Eve and asked, "What's going on? Speak clearly."
"Mrs. Victoria Harrington vomited blood in the middle of the night and was admitted to the ICU."
"What? How could Victoria vomit blood? Wasn't she just injured from a fall?"
"I don't know the reason either, the doctor only said the condition is very serious."
Eve was crying, trying hard to steady her trembling voice.
"Where's Alexander?"
Arabella was also quite frightened and immediately asked.
"He's at the hospital."
Arabella suddenly felt an even stronger sense of dread.
Could it be that Alexander said something unpleasant again and made Victoria sick with anger?
"I have to go with you."
The two of them hurriedly carried Strawberry and rushed to the elevator.
Diana came downstairs and saw them in a hurry, immediately calling out, "Mom."
"You stay home and take care of your grandmother, don't let her get startled, okay?" Arabella instructed.
"What happened? Why are you here?" Diana asked, looking at Eve.
"Mrs. Victoria Harrington suddenly vomited blood last night and was admitted to the ICU."
Diana was shocked.
Later in the elevator, Diana thought about how she went to the hospital to say those unpleasant things to Victoria, and Victoria said she was fine. She couldn't help but mumble, "Is she going to die?"
It's said that only when people are about to die, do they see everything as good.
Thinking this, Diana became flustered.
"How can you talk nonsense like that!"
Arabella was even more frightened by Diana's words.
'If something happened to Victoria, the whole Kensington family is gone.'
Arabella shuddered at the thought.
'Victoria must survive no matter what.'
"Your grandmother doesn't know about this yet. If she asks, just say they had a fight and I'm going to meditate. Don't say too much, be steady, understand?"
Arabella repeatedly instructed, and when passing through the living room, she only loudly said, "Mom, I'm going with Eve to check on something, we won't be home for breakfast."
"Okay, are they alright?"
"They're fine."
Arabella said, but she walked very quickly.
She didn't want to lie too much.
Lying makes people uneasy, even at her age.
Arabella and Eve brought Strawberry to the hospital.
Alexander was standing at the ICU door, looking completely drained.
He seemed like his soul had been sucked out.
Eve was now holding Strawberry, and as she looked at Alexander from behind, she only felt that Alexander was terrifying.
Frank saw Arabella first and immediately stood up straight.
Only then did Alexander notice something unusual and turned to look at the door.
Arabella, both heartbroken and angry, couldn't help but forcefully slap Alexander's shoulder, "What did you do this time?"
Alexander didn't say anything, he just took Strawberry from Eve's arms.
"Do you want Victoria or not? If you don't want her, then don't keep her. If you want her, you can't treat her like this, you're too much!"
Arabella was distressed.
One was her son, the other was her daughter-in-law whom she was satisfied with.
She had never liked an outsider girl as much as she liked Victoria. She wanted Victoria to be with the Harrington family for a lifetime, they were a family.
But now, it had come to this.
"If Victoria dies because of this, how will Maximus and I face Victoria's parents? Your grandparents will also die with regrets."
Arabella thought, 'If Brett and Eloise knew about this, they would surely be greatly shocked.'
Alexander just stood there holding Strawberry, who seemed very interested in the unfamiliar environment, turning her neck around.
Eve walked over to Frank, wanting to see Victoria. Victoria had always wanted to see Strawberry, and now that Strawberry was here, Victoria was unconscious.
