Chapter 497 Wedding Dress (2) Wrong Kiss

"Mr. Patel, is Mrs. Harrington changing into her wedding dress now?" As Isabella was speaking, James's assistant came up from the downstairs studio carrying Victoria's wedding dress to inquire.

James immediately looked at Victoria.

"Okay." Victoria looked at Isabella and agreed softly, then turned around. "Let's change."

James watched Victoria leave before looking at Isabella, unable to help but smile and ask, "Ms. Montgomery, why are you doing this?"

"Don't you want to see who suits your design better?" Isabella asked.

"In that case..." James sat back down.

But not long after, he still pinched his brow, feeling like he had caused trouble.

He shouldn't allow Isabella to try on the wedding dress.

Alexander was coming over soon, and if he saw that the place wasn't cleared, he might think James was disrespecting Victoria.

Isabella noticed his dilemma and couldn't help but ask, "Is Alexander coming over soon?"

"Do you really think Mr. Harrington would be interested in you , a lady who used to be a mistress of an old man ?" James mocked.

Although James was a straightforward person, Isabella was wearing down all his gentlemanly manners.

Isabella was clearly shocked by his words.

So what if she was a mistress?

Not everyone could be a mistress.

Besides, she genuinely admired that man at the time.

Marriage never bound her. She only knew that she had to strive for what she liked.

When Alexander arrived, Isabella was drinking coffee.

After seeing him enter, Isabella put down her cup and stood up. "Alexander, you're finally here. I'm accompanying Victoria to try on wedding dresses."

Alexander stared at Isabella holding his arm, removed it, and looked at James. "What's going on?"

"Ms. Montgomery made an appointment half an hour ago, and Mrs. Harrington agreed to let her stay," James explained.

"Where's my wife?" Alexander immediately asked again.

Victoria wasn't here.

"She's in the fitting room; she should be out soon," James explained.

Isabella looked at Alexander's troubled expression and asked softly, "Am I disturbing you?"

"You can't disturb us," Alexander said with a patient smile.

James thought what he really meant was that she had no ability to disturb them because he keenly sensed the coldness in Alexander's eyes.

But Isabella clearly didn't see it, pulling him. "She'll be out soon. Let's wait for her together."

"Let go of me." Alexander looked at his wrist and immediately said.

"After so long, are you still so cold? At least give me a comforting hug, okay?" Isabella coaxed him.

James watched from the side, only feeling that the atmosphere was strange.

"Isabella, are you..." Before he could finish speaking, Isabella suddenly stood on tiptoe to cup Alexander's face.

Alexander quickly turned away, but her lips still landed on his cheek, close to his mouth.

The lipstick she wore today was particularly noticeable on his skin.

Alexander was stunned, even starting to feel nauseous.

But Isabella still cupped his face, smiling and speaking softly, "Don't move. I'll wipe it off for you. It wouldn't be good if Victoria saw it later."

"Mr. Harrington, Mrs. Harrington is ready." James's assistant and Victoria stood at the door, stuttering as they spoke.

James turned to look at the door while Alexander and Isabella also looked over.

But at this moment, with Isabella cupping his face, Victoria at the door couldn't walk in.

"Victoria, don't misunderstand. This is just a friendly kiss, like your customs abroad," Isabella explained.

"There are no such customs abroad," Alexander quickly let go of Victoria and explained gently.

Victoria could no longer smile. After a disappointed and cold look, she turned and left.

"Victoria." Alexander chased after her downstairs.

Victoria lifted her long dress and ran outside. At this moment, she had only one thought, 'Far away.'

She knew she was coming to try on wedding dresses, so she relaxed.

They had recently been getting along much better.

Even when Victoria spotted Isabella in James's office wearing a wedding dress and claimed Alexander had chosen it. Isabella wanted to continue to witness it, so she told herself to go with the flow.

But now, she just wanted to say, 'Go hell with going with the flow.‘’

When Alexander chased her outside, she had already gotten into a taxi.

Victoria sat inside, panting, and looked back at Alexander in the black suit behind her, then sat back properly.

The driver asked her, "Miss, are you running away from a wedding? Should we go to the airport?"

"Go to..." Victoria hesitated.

At this moment, she had no documents, no passport, not even her phone or bag, which were all in the TI studio. Where could she go?

She looked outside, and suddenly, the weather turned gloomy. She gradually couldn't sit properly anymore.

When she stroked the bridal dress's fine silk, she looked down and remembered what James's assistant told her. "Each pearl on this outfit is natural and wild, beautiful. They're no match for these brilliant jewels. Harrington and Patel hand-picked and polished each one to size. Mr. Patel thinks this should be the priciest wedding outfit."

She was originally very touched, even with the Isabella incident.

The last time he said he was on a business trip, it turned out he was selecting diamonds.

When she wore the wedding dress, she thought of it and was so moved that she wanted to marry him immediately.

But he kissed Isabella while she changed into the bridal dress.

There were even outsiders there. What did he want?

Was he so brazen even in public?

Everyone knew he had a wife, yet he could still flirt with another woman and even kiss her in public.

She felt unworthy of her bridal dress as she gazed down.

He should give this wedding dress to a generous woman who could tolerate him keeping women outside.

This was the most expensive wedding dress in the world.

How ridiculous! Such an expensive wedding dress was now on her, someone so petty, and she was sitting in a taxi worth less than $30,000.

How could she run out wearing such an expensive wedding dress?

If he asked her to compensate, she couldn't afford it.

"Miss, where are we going?" The driver asked again.

"Back," Victoria replied.

They drove back to TI Studio.

"Mr. Patel, Mrs. Harrington is back again," the staff said.

"What?" James immediately stood up from the sofa and ran to the window. Sure enough, she was back.

And another car had returned with her.

James's heart quietly settled down, silently watching downstairs.

At this moment, raindrops began to fall.

But Victoria, in the wedding dress, was stopped by the driver, and she could only stand there, looking at the long legs of the driver walking towards her.

She never looked up, her hands tightening on the dress to avoid dirtying the hem. In a soft voice, she humbly asked for help, "Could you please help me settle the bill first?"
