Upon hearing this, Isabella instinctively cast a glance toward Sebastian.

"Can you speak to him on my behalf?" she implored, "We're adults; we can't afford to be indecisive. If he refuses to marry me, I'll be left with no option but to terminate the pregnancy, which I'm reluctant to do, Ed. Could you, for the sake of our shared past, do this for me?"
Isabella beseeched Edward once more for his intervention.

"I'll speak to him," Edward conceded, "But Isabella, remember, they're legally wed, and Victoria is the acknowledged daughter-in-law of the Harrington family."

After concluding a phone call, Edward quietly slid his phone back into his pocket, convinced that something was transpiring between the two.
